Laidback location with great choice of cakes. coffee was not the best I’ve ever had, but alright. The cakes look delicious, but are pricey. Comfortable atmosphere, but certainly could do with some cleaning. You do need to know how things are done in there, like where to pick ip the cake you ordered to avoid waiting forever for staff to serve you. The design of walls and ceiling looks interesting, but unfinished at the same time.

Great funky place to grab a coffee and an awesome slice of cake. This place is CASH ONLY!!! Huge range of cakes available. From Apple pies, Tiramisu, Black forest to an assortment of cheesecakes. Very generous slices. The coffee is delicious. All substitute milks available. Take along your reusable cup to receive a discounted price on your coffee. You can either lounge around or sit at a table. Very cool vibe. Will be back for some more cake and coffee.

Coffee is good. Can't complain when you pay $2 for a coffee with your own keep cup when other places charge $5 for the same thing... Cakes are always disappointing, I should have learnt by now. $8 is a little excessive for a slice of average cake. Caution, their tiramisu is a cream sponge cake NOT a tiramisu. Great location though!!!

Good coffee and delicious cakes. More than ample space to sit around and relax. Eye catching pop culture decor gives this place a nice vibe.

I ordered the most amazing Chai Latte from this place. It's a hidden gem, and I will be bringing all my friends here in the future. Great service, great coffee, and an industrial/rustic vibe. Love it!

Well I just looove Greens & Co. I dub thee my favorite place in Perth! Peanuts says happiness is a warm puppy. But I think happiness is wandering over here, ordering a slice of cake, lounging in one of the leather couches in this space, and call it a day ending well in backpacking land. I haven't tried there coffee so no comments about that, but their cakes are divine. If you don't like coffee or cakes, come by anyway and marvel at the beauty of the hanging lamps and vibe. It's Leederville's loveliest.

You could call Greens & Co. a bit of a Perth icon, but I really think this place gets more hype than it deserves. An abundance of couches to lounge on and a constellation of hanging lights, make it an inviting place to hang out. I do like atmosphere and the coffee is ok, but why is there so much fussing made over the cakes? Generally made of meringue or mousse, the cakes are mass-produced, off-site, and easily obtainable at any run of the mill café around Perth. You may find the broad selection impressive, but Greens loose points for unoriginality. 'Mass-produced' and 'run of the mill' are blasphemy in my books. I'll admit to enjoying a slice of the Chocolate Fudge Cake, but I'm not going to go out of my way for a slice when I can the very same cake from my local gourmet supermarket. There is no love in the cake trade at Greens & Co. If I'm going to indulge in some baked goods, I want them to be interesting and made in-house. In search of wonderful, honest, home-made sweets, look to Boucla, Mrs S or Lincolns 102. You won't be bored with uninspiring desserts there.

I have nothing bad to say about this place the cakes are nice and the coffee is nice even though the almond milk is low quality. But FFS why do you not have card facilities. You have to pay cash and there is a weird hipster vibe coming from the staff too.

I detour to Lanterns, to sit with a cup of tea and a slice of lemon ricotta polenta cake. This place is always a delight with the perfect tunes playing and an array of diverse cultures of those inhabitants who call this area home or work. They come, they go, families, colleagues and friends, chitter-chatter laughter, the walls lined with album and movie posters. With no less than 20 choices of cake, tell me, who doesn't love this place.

Came here for coffee & cake after dinner. So many cakes!! Comfy couches, and pool tables too. Unfortunately the cakes were uninspired. So so many cakes. Here it's all about quantity, and if you don't care about quality this place is great. I had the gluten free blueberry coconut cheesecake. Not disgusting, but I didn't eat most of it because I wasn't enjoying it; the blueberries were canned and flavourless, the cheesecake wet not fluffy, and the coconut flakes were getting stuck in my mouth without any nutty pleasantness or crunch. I LOVE desert but the calories have to be worth it. Ha. My friend had the apple toffee baked cheesecake. It was better in that it was the right consistency, but we couldn't locate the apple and the toffee was this weird gelatinous stuff on top. It wasn't too bad actually, but it wasn't gluten free.

Indulged in a heavenly slice of lime brûlée with a surprisingly good macchiato! A huge assortment of cakes are on display and there is also a small selection of savoury items on offer. The paper lanterns lend a cheerful touch as do the funky sofas. What really impressed me though was the service - the girl who served me was delightful and efficient. Although there is no table service on offer, she brought my coffee to the table.

I don't think I have ever come across anyone who has been to Greens & Co and not enjoyed it. Even if you don't have a sweet tooth, it's hard to resist the array of cakes and settle on just one choice. If your willpower is stronger than mine (which wouldn't be hard), you can just sit back on the couches and enjoy a cup of tea or coffee. Spare couches are often few and far between, but it is a large café so you can generally find a space to jump into without waiting too long, and the frontage is completely open with stools so you can face the café strip and people watch. I can't say that I could name a favourite cake - probably because I try a different one every time and have enjoyed them all! Portions are huge though, so if I'm there for dessert after I've been elsewhere for dinner I'll choose the takeaway option so I can have half now and indulge in a little more later ;-)

I do love this place, hence the four stars. It's a great convenient and easy location to meet friends. It's people watching central. Sitting on a milk crate out the front you can watch heaps of people pass by. The decor has quite a cool vibe to it, lots of black couches (I do miss the brightly colored ones they used to have), posters litter the walls and pool tables out back. The service is great, the girls are always friendly and efficient. The only down side i'd say would be the coffee and the milk based drinks. The chai is always too sweet , the hot chocolate always luke warm and the coffee too bitter for me. I do like the variety of cakes , however they're definitely not home made- mass produced and nice enough. I still frequently visit this place and because of that it gets a 4 out of 5 from me.

Large funky venue with lots of lanterns, couches of varying colors, poster covered walls and eclectic music. Cake slices are 8 dollars a piece and a small coffee is 4 bucks. It's cash only. Problem is don't order the wrong cake because for 8 bucks you must stuff it in even if it's awful. Recommend the lime tart. The caramel peanut cake has a hint of peanut and no caramel. And the white chocolate mud cake is sickly sweet ie equals diabeetus.

Well this would have to have been the worst and most disappointing time I've been to Greens. Use to frequent as loved the place but have been unable to go for over 15'months due to health issues. Dragged my husband there this afternoon as I wanted to enjoy a ice coffee, a slice of cake, relax and chat. I ordered a flat white for hubby and he received a latte, he said he wasn't ready to join the in crowd as yet. The place was filthy, even the ladies toilets and the smell at the rear of the cafe smelt awful like there was a sewerage leak and it even wafted up the stairs. The back entrance is so run down and not at all welcoming like it use to be. Staff were not very pleasant and I couldn't believe that in this day and age they still only accept cash. I understand today was hot and I suppose I wouldn't want to work either. I couldn't believe how run down and unappealing it has become. Normally I would have hung around to enjoy the coffee and cake but couldn't wait to get out. The owners need to visit more often and ask themselves if they would actually like to sit there for coffee and cake. I'm sure there are other cafes they would rather go to as would I from now on.

Craving some sweets on a late afternoon 'Greens' is simply a great option. With so many cafés closed on labour day it was one of the few options for us anyway, but that didn't matter. Funky decor, relaxed vibe, friendly staff, some minor chaos, ample seating, see & be seen; this all makes for a really nice café. I'm sure it's not for everyone as music can be a bit loud, it's cash only, the ordering system is a tad disorganized, and it's all pretty quirky. But you know what? Decent coffees and great cakes are the perfect combination. Super nice hangout IMHO.

One of my Perth hot spots! Located amongst the busy district on Oxford st you will find green and co, a fairly large size cafe, with a massive open front! Greens is decked out with lots of lounge chairs and also tables and chairs! It's a great chilled space and on that perfect day you can pick a nice couch near the entrance and layback and lookout onto the street and surrounding shops. Great feeling, well air conditioned, good atmosphere with a well throughout hipster decor! Although I wouldn't find this place to be on my top list in Perth for their coffee, as it's not the nicest I've had. It is still worth it, as the coffee isn't too bad, and sometimes they really get it right and it hits the spot! There is a massive collection of amazing cakes to choose from and you can just never say no when you walk past the Malteaser cake ! Mmmm just amazing!

This large cafe in Leederville is all about people watching. The paper lanterns hanging from the ceiling have become an icon of Leederville. The walls are plastered with gig posters and the place is full of cool kids, without being overly hipsterish (yes that's a word). They have quite a few nice cakes to choose from and they serve them up in large slices. The place is always busy so you may have to wait on the weekend to order and to find a table.

One of my fave coffee hotspots in Perth. It is such a great location, with great decor (I will admit.. I am a closet hipster). The coffees are nice and the cakes. Omg the cakes are great!! Such a huge selection!! I try and get a different one each time.

It is hard to miss Greens and Co when walking down Oxford Street. For one - it is highly colourful, with literally hundreds of music posters pasted on the walls as wallpaper. Which is an impressive feat in itself, considering the size of the café - it is easily the largest café on Oxford Street. Then, there are the paper lanterns, of various sizes, floating from the ceiling like glowing jellyfish. If that doesn't grab your attention, then the cheekily spray-painted "CK" at the end of the name most likely will. Greens and Co. is a highly popular café and it is easy to see why. There is a sense of indie hipster chic in its décor. Aside from the vintage music posters (some are a real trip back in time - check out the Big Day Out posters!) and lanterns, there is also about a dozen or so sofas for those who wish to lounge in comfort while sipping their drinks, eating cake and indulging their desire to play Connect Four. For the more active, there are two pool tables located at the back, and for the 80s child (or those with an appreciation of old-styled arcade games), there are retro gaming tables. The café is staffed by suitably hip staff members, and there are pithy postcards and notes to tickle your funny bone while you wait at the counter to place your order. There are usually several coffees, teas and shakes being made at the same time and staff members sometimes, but not always, will shout out the orders that are ready. So, it's best to stand near the counter to keep a watchful eye for your order to appear. Greens and Co. largely concentrates on drinks, and in this regard, they do very well. The coffees are well-made and flavoursome - the cappuccino, for instance, features a balanced blend of coffee, froth and delicately-dusted chocolate. The servings of tea are generous, with one teapot holding about six serves of tea. Their banana milkshake is also done well, using fresh ingredients and is sweet without being cloying. There are also a variety of cake on selection, and the cakes are wonderful. The lime brulee is tangy and has just the right amount of tartness without being overpowering, while the honeycomb brulee is fantastic for those who love their honeycomb. The apple pie is another highlight. The only disappointment with Greens and Co. is their selection of savory food. There is only a small selection of savory food, all rolls, and for their price - around $9.50 - it is reasonable to expect more than limp lettuce, bland meat and dry, crusty bread. If you are looking to eat something of substance - then it is best to avoid Greens and Co. and visit the many other places on Oxford Street. However, if you are looking for an excellent coffee and some divine cake, then Greens and Co. is highly recommended.

It had been a while since visiting this cafe so my friend and I went last night. I was served by a apathetic staff member who also told me in a rude way they have "cash only" which is fair enough, there was a sign but just was so rude saying it. We went to sit down and after a few minutes didn't hear our order so went to check, it was on the counter. I ordered a dirty chai and my friend got a hot chocolate which were good but the service left a bad taste in my mouth and probably won't be going back for a while unless they hire new staff

Cash only, who does that in 2017!? Food: hope you like expensive cake? Leedervillie in general is a great place to meet friends for coffee and while away a few hours talking and watching the world go by, but there is no better place to go for coffee in Leederville than Greens & Co. It's on the main street and has big glass doors stretching across the whole front of the cafe, which they leave open and some of the tables and chairs spill out here onto the street. It's the trendiest of all the trendy independent coffee houses you'll ever see, and is a breeding ground for the hipster culture. The decor is very cool - I think they're going for a kind of ironic youth club vibe - you know how fashionable irony is with hipsters these days! Down the back of the shop is a pool table and some vintage arcade games, and every inch of every wall is covered with tour posters for (it seems like) almost every band imaginable, some of them signed by the artists. The lighting in itself is like an installation art piece - a host of white sherical lanterns hang from the roof and provide the kind of soft lighting that looks good in a picture taken by the Hipstamatic Camera iPhone app. With all that effort put into the 'look' of the place, you might worry that they are taking the 'all style and no substance' approach, but fear not - they have a wide selection of quality coffees and teas, and their cake counter is mouth-wateringly impressive. Hands down the best coffee shop Perth has to offer.

Greens & Co was one of those places which used to be great, but in recent times has declined a bit. This place is predominantly coffee and cake. They have a few savoury items - sandwiches, quiche on the menu, but not much. This place has dim lighting and lots of couches around coffee tables, and board games lying around. The atmosphere is very relaxed and chilled. It isn't a bad place to hang out on a lazy Sunday afternoon. The coffee is passable, but not special. They do have a great selection for cakes, for those with a sweet tooth. The cakes have always been fresh and delicious, although on the very rich side. It was is open til late which is a nice change in Perth.

Service is ALWAYS shitty. Cakes are abundant but bought in and I've never been blown away (not hated it, but not had a problem walking past them and feeling any temptation). Coffee is fine. It's a nice place to meet people, there is LOADS of room to sit, it's a Leedy institution really - board games, toilets upstairs that serve pretty much everyone in Leedy, the cake fridge, and the couches. But there are better places to go. There are also worse places.

Big Mental Note... Read Claire H's (the Queen) reviews before committing to a location. Lesson learned. Leederville is shockingly small. I don't know why I always forget this point, but they really don't have much to offer. Greens takes on suit. What it does offer is ample room for a ton of mothers and their carriages and the few front couches are for business affairs. I say this because the back of Greens is seemingly intimate, that it really puts off the wrong vibe to discuss Marketing. Sitting on the same couch as my client, I had to lean in to hear over 1) Overhead music (why is this necessary in the daytime?) 2) Car alarms out front 3) Screaming babies 4) Other patrons. 5) The dollar slot ride for kids. Wow, for a "cool-vibe"... what is this, a Chucky Cheese's? What's next balloon animals? It was super hard to conduct business here. The couch tables are stools, with a concave top meaning you'll be writing on your lap. I absolutely loathe places that don't have a drink menu. Waitress said, "Well just tell me what you want and we'll make it." "I'll have a ChocChai." "What's that?" My point made. Drink menus make sense, even if they are written out on a napkin and adhered to the cash register. I say this is okay, but clearly if you need this then call on a graphic designer (holla!). I don't know the difference between a flat white and a latte. Menus alleviate the confusion and ordering the wrong thing. In keeping with the coffee debacle. I need someone to teach me how to order coffee. What does one need to say to get a scolding hot coffee? This lukewarm, if you don't drink it in 2 minutes or it is going to be cold isn't my cup of tea (literally). I consumed two coffees in an hour because there is only one size here, which in my world is midgy-size. This makes my face go sad. The first chai latte I had was actually very, very good. It was served in a glass midgy cup and in 2 sips, it was gone. I decided to beat the system and order my next chai latte in a to-go cup. In my rational it would keep the drink hotter longer and it is a smidge bigger (although price increases. Fail.). The issue, I assume, is they follow the same concoction for the smaller glass in the larger to-go cup, as now my chai was watered down. Something wasn't the same except for my sad face.

Alright for a catch up, but don't expect the moon. Greens is a good casual meet up point for a group of friends. They do okay on their coffee machine, but don't go holding your breath. They have a million different types of cakes to choose from as well, which are generally pretty tasty. These days I tend not to frequent Greens as much. Although when I need a spot to catch up with friends in the evening its always an easy place to meet at (if you can find a seat!).

Wasn't the best Mocha I have ever had, but let me tell you the Barista and check out chick, were the most organised and friendly staff I have ever met. So prompt and knew exactly what was what.

Despite the fact that the facade of Greens & Co is fairly regularly graffitied to say 'Greens & Cock', there is nothing cocky about this relaxed, urban cafe. A sprawling space dominated by rice paper light shades and colourful furniture, gig posters wallpaper every visible surface. The staff are always super friendly and calm, even when under pressure to pump out the coffees. There's not much wrong with Greens. In fact I would give it 5 stars but for the fact they accept cash only, which if you are not prepared, can be super annoying/embarrassing. The coffees, teas and milkshakes are great; the selection of cakes is to die for; the honey joys are well, pure joy. They even have some nice healthy rolls and salads for a light lunch while watching Leederville locals pass by. If you are in constant need of entertainment then this may be your new second home: pool, board games, retro arcade games - it really doesn't get any better than playing 1942!!

Great location and very cool lighting inside. There is seats outside if you are a fellow people watcher. The coffee and cake is delicious. I would recommend the lemon meringue. They only accept cash and serve no savoury food.

The Pavolova i had here was........opps sorry i just drooled on the keyboard. Green & Co is a great place to hang out. The pool tables are screwed though with missing and broken gear. Try and find the connect 4's. You can relive childhood all over again. The coffee's and hot chocolates are also great.

I am at Greens and Co at least once a week, with free WIFI great coffee, tea and cakes I could easily make this place my office. As a regular, I would like to see a fruit option for the days I am feeling healthly and maybe a little rotation on cakes would be nice, as I am pretty sure I have sampled them all.

Lovely hot tasty and well priced coffee. The staff are always nice and service is always pretty fast! I always come here. I never have the cakes anymore though, they all look amazin but are all dry and not that good. I have tasted maybe half of e ones in the fridge and they never live upto what they look like. They're mass produced-esque

Worst coffee I've had in a long time. Greens and co has caught my eye every time I've been in Leederville for years now. I was so looking forward to this mornings catch up with a friend which I ended up being embarrassed I suggested. The place has cash only which annoyed me as I normally never have cash on me, there is no waiter service they just out your coffees on the bench and hope you'll see them and come grab them. Definitely not my idea of paying $4.50 for a coffee, if I wanted to serve myself coffee I would do it at home with much nicer coffee. Will definitely not be back, I will try foam next!

Greens & Co is an ultra chic hang out that differs from every other cafe Perth has to offer, starting with the fact it is open until midnight every night. Surrounded with music billboards and posters and a chilled yet lively ambiance; it is the spot to lounge about in an old school vibe (arcade games in the back corners) with a book, ipod or laptop; whilst I also found it's the best place to catch up on girl talk, to take a shopping break from the trendy boutiques just next door, or simply to treat yourself to a sugar fix. Got nothing to do and want a new place to chill? I can guarantee you'll spend hours checking out the decor, people watching as the hustle and bustle passes by, or drooling over the divine selection of coffee and cake - breakfast, lunch or dinner!

Great place to chat for coffee & cake. Great selection that is continually changing and although the place is packed you can still find a seat and hear yourself and your co-diners to have a chat.

I love Greens and Co! They make awesome coffees and cakes. Oneday I asked for a soy milkshake with a shot of Chai in it - they girls there are lovely and they made it for me - it was also delicious! It's not on the menu so order if you dare.... also, remember they only accept cash - not eftpos :)

Atmosphere and opening times are what make this place worth going to. Their tea is average and cake isn't worth getting, in my opinion, but it's a great place to read, study, or hang out late.

I'm sorry but any business who puts giant anti-council signs in their cafés clearly hasn't got their focus on the business. Bad coffee, terrible service (no table service), moody staff and cheap ikea furnishings. Overpriced and underwhelmed. Go to Foam or Sayers instead.

Known for its lighting and atmosphere, if there was any cafe to recommend on a visit to Leederville (a couple of stops Westwards outside of Perth) it is this one

Bad coffee and even worse tea pots however I love the location and cake selection. Easy to waste a few hours lounging around on the couches however no WIFI which is a pain.

Funky venue with a lot of character. Didn't have eftpos, cash only (Um is it 2015?). Had the caramel peanut tart which was very peanuty. Mocha was good but not great.

The reasons why so many people skip this place is because of the lack of fast service with a cash only policy. Staff tent to be rude, and uninterested at times. The manager is a sad person who speaks to anyone and everyone like dirt, who doesn't understand how to interact with people or hold an interelliget conversation. Internally it is very run down, needing a major overhaul from furniture and seating to the lights and kitchens, to the glass cabinets and the bathrooms. Cleanliness 3 out of 10 Coffee and cakes 3 out of 10 Customer service is a 2 out of 10 Management 1 out of 10 Location 5 out of 10 Save your money and head some place else. Don't even bother walking through the back door as a short cut, don't put yourself in any proximity of this establishment claming to be a creditable business.

I have been here a couple times and it's been average but my last visit really changed swayed my vote negatively. I went there after a day out for an afternoon coffee and cake. On a Saturday afternoon on the main st of Leederville, it's going to busy. The ordering and service system is shocking. Causes so much confusion. There is no organised queuing so it's crowded, the staff are just shouting coffee orders at customers and you just take what's yours and if you don't hear your order over the hustle and bustle, it going to go cold. Another confusing thing is that if you order cake, your cake and beverages are served up at different counters and I wasn't told that. So waiting for my cake and then was told "Oh cake service is down there" as she pointed away from the coffee section. To top it off, the last time I went, I got a coffee that had a hair in froth, I took it back and asked for a new one and I was told that if have to wait to which I replied no I want it now. They made it then, turns out it was a very average coffee-nothing to rave about. It has quirky decor and ample space and the cakes look fab but service and the coffee were a major let down.

Chilling after a great night out, nothing better than to stop by Greens and have a coffee before heading home. Lots of chatter and characters. Reasonable coffee and some serious cakes! Reasonable prices too.

I wholeheartedly agree with Laura D. This is a place to people watch and admire the dessert display. If only the cakes tasted as good as they looked! Portions are ample though, so just order one slice and share with your friends...or make some new ones!

Don't come here for a coffee as I've never had a good one from here. But the atmosphere is cool and all the hipster kids hang out here so come have a great time

Love this place. The atmosphere here is laid back and easy going, much like perth itself! The drinks are awesome and they are quick to get them out. There's a huge variety of cakes as well, for $7.50, and they are massive slices. They don't cook.food onside but they also have sandwiches they can toast. I love coming here, they have comfy couches and games to play. Great spot for catch ups :) Def recommend this place to everyone :)

I went here instead of going to the cafe I intended to go to down the street. Got the worst hot chocolate I've ever had as well as a chocolate cake that had no chocolate flavor whatsoever. I also payed way too much for both of these things and didn't finish them. Highly recommend going to another coffee shop along oxford street as there are many to choose from that are way better and have better customer service and atmosphere.

This place is one of those rare and slightly underground coffee shops. In fact it is so much more than just a coffee shop! Only 5mins on a train from the city centre, right in the middle of Oxford st in Leederville stands this almost factory looking shop. The coffees are amazing, the latte being my preferred choice. But what makes this wonderful place something to rave about is the activities that take place inside. Board games that I haven't seen for years, like checkers and frustration. There is also a pool table at the back and heaps of seating. Defiantly my favourite coffee shop in Perth. The home made cakes are also a must have, they change it around a bit, but if they have honey crackle cakes, get one! I promise you won't regret it [Symbol] Its just the perfect hang out spot, have a coffee and play a board game = my idea of a good time!

Greens and Co is known throughout Perth as 'that cafe in Leederville with all of the lanterns'. Even my Dad knows what it is, but you won't find many retired folk relaxing amongst the heavily wallpapered walls. No no, this is Leeerville institution for the young and trendy, drawing folk from all around. Because of the eclectic mix of people nibbling on cakes and sipping coffee, I find it's a good place to people watch. The cafe is huge and is nearly always going off like a Friday night dance party, even mid-afternoon, so I like to perch wherever I can and just check out the scene. Every inch of Greens and Co screams urban cool. From their gig posters which adorn their walls from floor to ceiling, to their board games and pool table up the back , Greens and Co has a very distinct style and vibe that you won't find elsewhere. I like it because it's not trying too hard and there's actually activities to do here should you feel your lunch date a bit stilted for conversation. Makes a good place for a first date too!

Locale 4, service 3, value 3, food 3.5 Over the years as Leederville has grown from gangly kid to being comfortable with its cosmopolitan self so has the space now called Green & Co. I've seen this simple space try more outfits than a teenager getting ready for the school formal. Bakery, bakery/cafe, green grocer and vacant space to list a few. During these periods the greatest value add was providing a short cut from the car park out back to Oxford Street. But the space has found it's place. Yep, cakes are made off site and coffee is OK but a simple, uncomplicated offer in comfortable surrounds reminds you of that favourite t-shirt that always makes you feel good. Great place to watch the world busy by while sipping green tea to take the edge off the tart apple & rhubarb pie you're eating.
