Greens Cafe & Bistro

Great cafe. Lovely menu. Tasty and delicious food and drinks. I had a ham and salad sandwich which was served with a surprisingly tasty crisp salad with a delicious balsamic dressing. It was really good. For drink I had a very berry smoothie which was delicious and hydrating after a long walk. Loads of people there, the staff were really friendly with excellent service. Good value. Highly recommend.

One of the best lunches during our Lake District stay. Buddha bowl was absolutely delicious. So so fresh with home-made falafel and choice of 3 different types of hummus. The service was exceptional and the location opposite a quiet park was just so relaxing. An escape from all the hassle of Ambleside. The home-made cakes were too tempting. Had a piece of the Bakewell Tart with home made jam and the thinnest pastry. Absolutely yummy. My husband had really tasty home-made tomato & basil soup (other option was home-made veg & lentil). His toasted sandwich was packed with cheese and ham. All in all a superb experience. Highly recommended.

Lovely place, nice friendly atmosphere and staff. Great food and value. Food was delicious with many tasty Vegan options. Wife said the sticky toffee pudding was the best vegan desert she has had in a long time. We will definitely be returning 👍

We were looking for somewhere to have breakfast and this cafe didn't disappoint. The service was excellent, from start to finish. The portions were decent and the food was delicious. We will definitely be coming back .

we enjoyed Greens so much that we went twice! best breakfast spot of our trip! very nice people, wide variety on the menu and fun atmosphere. not only was this breakfast tasty, it also actually had healthy items... not always easy to find while traveling. go!

Perfect stop at the beginning or end of a walk. I'd like to come back for a proper meal here at some point. The lunch smelled amazing in the cafe. We stopped for some cake and tea. They gave us extra hot water, had a hot vegan brownie (among other vegan options) and when my parents in law got a piece of cake that had a big hole in the bottom (from a baking bubble) they gave them a second piece to make up for eat. The staff were really generous and friendly, and I'd give them more than 5* if I could.

Tom the waiter was great he made me a custom salad with fresh chicken breast. And fresh vegetables with gorgeous fresh tender lettuce! I have not seen such a delicious and healthy meal since I have been in Northern England. And he delivered it to my table in under 10 minutes because I told him my tour bus was leaving. Honestly this is a culinary oasis. The salad was DELICIOUS!!! The side of brown bread was crusty and warm. I love love loved this place. Highly recommend Thank you, Tom!.

A good place ti stay for a brunch or for a cake and a good chocolate in the afternoon . The vegetarian plates are super special!
