Somsack Sikhounmuong’s Grub Street Diet

"A market pie stall offering seasonal fruit pies; the narrator bought a mislabeled pie that turned out to be peach, which was shared and enthusiastically eaten by colleagues at the office." - Zach Schiffman, Sarah Kilcoyne

Stopped in the parking lot because my kid got car sick so I ran in to buy cleaner. The gentleman at the register was very friendly and accommodating, I even went back in to chat with him about local places for lunch and he gladly gave us some tips.

My wife and I got married here in July of 2016 by Mr Austin Green. Sadly he has since passed. We stop here when we come to gatlinburg from Ohio. We stopped this passed summer and met his son who now operates the store. It’s my kind of place.

The man and woman who helped me right before closing were friendly, helpful and patient. I'm from out of town and they helped get me where I needed to go.

Yelp
Our attention was caught and we just had to stop when we saw a guy doing some wood carving with a chainsaw! There's a small convenience store for picking up some needed essentials to take camping or to your cabin, but the show stopper is certainly the guy creating all the carved wood items. He had a whole slew of creations, but in the end we picked up a Smokey mountain bear for our front step. This is worth a stop. Awesome creations at a reasonable price!!

Yelp
Always friendly. You can get Benton's bacon here slab or sliced. Neat trinkets and antiques. Stop on by.

Yelp
Great camp store that has farm fresh eggs, and local beef. We also got a large jar of honey with the comb in! The owner was very knowledgeable of the area and super friendly. This place will surely have everything you need in a pinch!

Yelp
For such a tiny store, they carry a LOT! We were headed to the big grocery store with a list of things we needed and decided to quickly stop here as we were passing to look for some fresh local honey. They definitely carried it. First thing we saw on the table displayed as we walked in. A huge jar for $42 with the honeycomb in it! Along with several other sizes and flavors. Well, we didn't end up needed to go to the grocery store, we found everything we needed! Mayo, mustard, chips, salsa, sour cream, beans, coffee, bananas, milk, eggs, and butter! We even bought some homemade goats milk bar soaps and lotions, and a box of pretty unique crayons. (they have souvenirs too!) The guy was super friendly, and we even popped into the antique wood store part after and loved lots of things in there as well. My friend is even considering buying their homemade signs for their new place! Definitely coming back.
