This is a great cafe with an excellent menu. Everything was delicious and the staff were wonderful despite it being a very busy morning. The owner however, was continuously snapping at the staff and barking orders in an extremely rude way. One example, someone was waiting on a glass of Prosecco and he burst behind the counter saying “it only takes 2 minutes to pour”. He poured the Prosecco into a wine glass and marched off with it only to come back complaining that the customer wanted her Prosecco in a Prosecco glass. He then proceeded to put the Prosecco into the correct glass and then barked at a server to bring it out to the customer. While handing it over, HE caused it to spill. The server cleaned up and took the drink to the customer. The owner then barked at another staff member to clean up the mess that HE the owner had just made. That’s just one example of many! We were there for less than an hour and he was horrible the entire time. We were going to order coffee and cake after lunch but decided to leave instead because of the owners behavior. It’s a pity because it could be such a nice place.

We came in as a walk-in group of seven, and the staff couldn’t have been more accommodating. Our blonde waitress was incredibly friendly and made us feel so welcome from the moment we arrived. I had the Flahavan’s Irish Porridge with Berry Compôte & Toasted Seeds, and it was absolutely delicious. Music is a bit loud but overall such a great spot for breakfast, and I’d definitely come back!

Had a lovely breakfast this morning and no complaints with the food, we really enjoyed it But the atmosphere is lacking mainly due to the manner of what I assume is the owner Barking at potential customers and it was very off putting! Couldn’t leave fast enough! Some people shouldn’t be front of house Only giving 3 stars for this reason

We tried to visit on Saturday but there was a queue (and rain!), so we came back on Sunday — and we’re so glad we did. Even though it was only half an hour before closing, it was such a refreshing surprise to be told we could order anything from the menu rather than being limited to a few options or even refused. My husband had the French toast with bacon which was absolutely delicious, and I had a slice of lemon curd cake — light yet indulgent — along with a hot chocolate that was the perfect temperature. The lady serving us was so friendly and attentive, which really added to the experience. It’s the kind of place that makes you feel genuinely welcomed, even at the end what I anticipate was a busy week for their team. We’ll definitely be back!

Great portions for a reasonable price. I ordered a French toast and decided to add an order of sausages, which I ended up, not eating because of portions were large. We went in with two adults and a stroller (buggy) and sta inside- small space but was just enough. The service was great and so was the holiday cheer. We will define coming back to the place. The toilets are located outside.

Came here for Sunday brunch on a whim because the menu options really grabbed my attention. The Blackened Chicken salad had so much flavour I was really surprised at how delicious it was. I also got the Apple crumble French toast (always have to have sweet and savoury!) and wow wow wow.. I will be back for this! The lemon curd and blueberry pancakes also sounded delicious, this was I’ll be my next to try. Cappuccino was also delicious. The servers were also super friendly, and even ran after me when I forgot my bag (whoops)

Lovely setting . Lovely food but unfortunately I was still hungry after my Eggs Benedict. Only served on 1 slice of sourdough . No salad or anything on side. Disappointed to be honest.

Very charming little place. Service was great. We weren’t really hungry and just wanted a coffee but decided to go with something small. Everything tasted great. We’ve been in Cork 4 days and tried quite few places for breakfast, and this one was a bit on a pricier side with smaller portions. But still liked it!
