Grelo Hostel Ourense is located in the heart of the old town, surrounded by many historic Catholic churches, including the Cathedral, the Holy Trinity Church, St. Francis, the Dominican Church, and others, all within a 10-minute walk. There are also many supermarkets nearby—Gadis, Eroski, Carrefour—right in the city center, making daily life very convenient. More importantly, Grelo Hostel offers free amenities including light blankets, large bath towels, shower gel, shampoo, conditioner, late-night snacks, and breakfast. The space between the beds is generous, and each bed comes with a locked cabinet. The host, Santiago, is very warm and always willing to help answer any questions. I highly recommend staying here when you visit Ourense.

The hostal is mostly used by people walking the Camino. Because of this people are leaving early in the morning. The hostal has thought of this and leaves the breakfast included already at night for the early birds. Small breakfast but very thoughtful of the owner, cause almost none of the hostels in Galicia have the breakfast included. The showers are great, with soap and conditionner, and you get a towel. The common area is big but without windows, it feels a bit dark. The shared rooms are big, and the beds do squeezing noises, so which is not convinient when there are people waking up early for the camino. Only thing missing is a furnace to cook a quick meal. In general, good experience and very thoughtfull owner.

I had an excellent night's sleep here. Arriving by bike on my way home after completing the Camino, the reception went smoothly and I could inhabit my bed in the dorm quickly. The owner is kind and efficient. The breakfast was made ready the night before, so I could gorge myself at 5:30 and set out early.

Enjoyed the comfortable spacious bunk bed rooms. A little more expensive than the usual albergues we visited along the Camino de Santiago, but we got nice towels and the showers were great. Helpful staff. Atmosphere a little sterile but very clean and organized.

Lovely hostel, clean and tidy. Showers etc excellent. Vending machine for drinks. Great facilities. Thoughtful breakfast. Near a good-size supermarket. Lovely hospitalero too! Good central location near to the cathedral. Definitely recommend this place.

Great is a good value for money hostel. The facilities are very clean and there are lockers in the dormitories. The dorms are quite big and in busy times I could imagine it would be rather noisy. The breakfast is simple toast and jam, but for the money it's fine. I would stay again another time. There's parking for cars right outside in the street and it's fairly close to the cathedral etc.

Well organised and managed purpose built albergue. Quite a good location. Friendly and helpful management. ||Lockers, WiFi, kitchen, fridge, hot showers.||Only things missing is coat pegs in the rooms to hang coats, dry towels. ||Well worth the Euro15.00.
