My wife and I just spent three nights at Grenoble House and our experience definitely warrants a review. First - the staff - amazing. Mark greeted us upon arrival and couldn't have been nicer or more helpful. We also met James, and finally Kenneth. Nicest guys ever - true professionals! The place is so charming -oozing with charm and true NOLA character. Clean, comfortable, and chock full of amenities. The courtyard is not to be missed! It's beautiful, and bizarrely quiet for being so close to Bourbon street - you'd never know it! This place is a true gem, and we will be staying here from now on. Big thumbs up!!! Thank you Grenoble House! We had a great time!

Google
I think we found our new spot. We visit New Orleans every year. We used to stay at the St Pierre but they just went down hill for us. We just stayed a few nights this week at The Grenoble House. We stayed in 104. I really hope we can get that unit next year. Even though they were busy with renovations they still stayed quiet. We are not morning people so sleeping till 10-11 is our normal time. The front staff are great. The rooms are wonderful and clean (I'm posting a video). The location is OMG the best. This is going to be the best 3 Star place for sure. Definitely book here. And to The Grenoble House, we will definitely see you next year 🙏

We loved our experience at Grenoble House. What a sanctuary, just a block from the hurly burly of Bourbon Street. The accommodation was really like an apartment: kitchen, living room, bedroom. We sat outside most mornings for breakfast, which we made from goods from convenient local grocery stores (eg Rouse’s). The hot tub and pool offered respite in the afternoon. The street car is just a few blocks away, and Le Pass app is helpful (suggested by a staff member). All of the staff members are gracious and helpful. This really a hidden gem and will be our go to place for future visits.

Google
I was a bit apprehensive at first because some of the photos on the website differed from those on Expedia/other sites, and the price seemed to good to be true. But honestly, it was EXCELLENT. The room was spacious, clean, & comfortable. The bed was especially comfortable. Front desk staff was helpful for anything we needed, whether it was recommendations for where to go or what to do, or basic things like towels. Check in was a breeze & we loved having a code for the door rather than a key. It was super centrally located and most of all, QUIET. Will not even consider staying elsewhere when I return to NOLA.

Google
Grenoble House is going up be our go-to place whenever we travel to New Orleans. How wonderful to have basically an apartment with kitchen, living room, and bedroom. Just a block from Bourbon but removed for quiet and solitude. We were in hot tub daily plus pool. Loved the staff and their kindness. Kudos all around.

Google
The quarter's hidden gem! Perfect location, perfect service, perfect ambiance - this place can't be beat! Grenoble House oozes charm. The courtyard and pool area are beautiful at night! We love this place! Thank you to the amazing staff, especially Kenneth, James, and Mark!

Google
Excellent location. One block off of Bourbon st.. You can walk everywhere. Garden suite is like an apartment. Real hot tub right outside the suite. Clean and very comfortable.

Google
Location as central as it gets if you’re looking to stay in the French quarter . Loved the hot tub and chiller pool that was a great plus and we used it every night during our Thanksgiving Holiday stay . Rooms are great have a kitchenette and the bed was comfortable which is important for us . Staff friendly .

Yelp
Grenoble House is absolutely my favorite place to stay when I visit New Orleans. If you're looking for a place that allows you to take a trip back to historic New Orleans, this is the place to go. Centrally located on Dauphine street just a few doors down from the Death Museum, this place is a hop skip and jump from the magic of Bourbon street. I've been booking on AirBnB for the last few years and the owners are phenomenal. If you're looking for a reasonable priced, comfortable, centrally located place to stay...Grenoble House is the absolute best choice.

Yelp
We stayed here for a bachelorette party. Perfect location, walking distance of bourbon street. All around a great stay. Mark at the front desk made our stay so enjoyable, he's funny and so so kind. Thank you for being you Mark

Yelp
The room has a beautiful kitchen, a very comfortable bed, and it made me feel very "at home". The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. They certainly went the extra mile to make sure everyone felt like they were a VIP. The rating and price were way too low. It was easily rate 4- 4 1/2 stars and they could charge more and get it. On our 2 week trip across the US, it was our nicest stay. Well done!!

Yelp
The Grenoble is a great place to stay and the location is perfect to just about everything. I am writing this for those that really like to plan and have a certain expectation of a place while on vacation. This place is not your typical hotel think of it more like a AirbnB with a front desk with limited service. 1. There is no elevator so if you on a second floor, plan accordingly because you will be carting them up the stairs yourself. 2. No service for entire stay, you have to go to check in and get towels and toilet paper. 3. Please bring all your bathroom supplies because this isn't your standard hotel- you just don't need to bring toilet paper 4. If you like complete darkness when you sleep, this is not the place there are no curtains and the blinds let plenty of light in. 5. Brings house shoes and a rob of you like those things because they are not available. 6. The beds are high so if you have difficulty getting in and out of bed, please call and confirm they have a low one. 7. The beds make noises when you move while sleeping. 8. Shower heads are standard no real pressure so don't be surprised, this is not your waterfall showers. 8. While kitchen is in the room, this isn't your kitchen so don't plan on having an elaborate in room dining experience. 9. Hangers are locked to the rod, which will irritate you while hanging clothes. 10. Pool area- this isn't your Vega's size pool area, very small and very cold. If you ok with all the above then stay at this great hotel and truly experience NOLA, if not then stay somewhere else.

Yelp
In a word...Champaign...who was great from our arrival on Wednesday thru our Sunday departure. Helped us decide where to dine, where to walk (and where NOT to walk), ensured our closet light was fixed, room was made up when requested with fresh towels when we returned. Our 2nd floor room was quiet and away from any potential outside noise. We'll definitely stay here again!! A great find from an exhausting search!

Yelp
The Grenoble House staff, hospitality, atmosphere, rooms and location is 1100/10. I can't stress enough how accommodating, kind, helpful and truly hospitable every single employee was. Our room was spectacular as well as the entire property. Truly New Orleans.

Yelp
once again, Bob and I had a fantastic experience at the Grenoble house. Champagne makes it so comfortable and easy! He is a professional, friendly, kind, and very helpful! if you're looking for a great place to stay in New Orleans, one block away from Bourbon Street, but close to GW finns and Galatoire's it's only a block or two away Bob and I really like room 103, but you can't go wrong with any of them! thank you so much champagne for making our stay so enjoyable once again
google avatar

Amber E.

Yelp
Grenoble House is definitely a little hidden gem, right in the heart of the French Quarter. Loved that it is smaller, with friendly, personal service. Thank you, Mr. Champagne! Nice courtyard with pool (not heated) and jacuzzi (heated). Could use some more plants or fountains or something to make it more inviting, though. We were in 202 - bedroom separated by pocket doors to living room and kitchenette, which was convenient. Loved the high ceilings and unique furniture. Bathroom was a bit drafty and outdated, and note that there are not elevators - we had to lug our luggage up a spiral staircase to our room. But overall, a very comfortable stay in a perfect location.

Yelp
Really great location! Close to the French Quarter but also quiet at night. Close to little markets, pizza and a ton of food so you really can't go hungry, lol. I liked that they kept the hotel key while we were out and that you had to be buzzed into the hotel so it felt safe and secure. The tower apartment suite we stayed in was super large and very clean stocked with everything you might need (disposable glasses and plates). Loved the mini bottle waters they provided as we were so thirsty when we arrived and hadn't gotten to a market yet to get supplies for our week stay. There were plenty of towels which they would change out (make sure to check the bathroom cabinet for even more towels). Towels were much needed after my tweens would go swimming/hot tubing so that was very nice. There were 4 beds in the suite so the 4 of us each got our own bed which was really nice. We all slept good too and lots of pillows. Loved that they would make up your room everyday if you asked, some days we didn't want it made up. Friendly staff. Property was pretty quiet no hustle and bustle of a big hotel so that was very nice. We didn't come across other guests too often even when we used the pool. And even though there was no elevators, I thought they were doing me an exercise favor... climbing stairs so I could burn off the ton of food I ate, lol. They let us store our luggage with them on our last day as our flight didn't leave until the evening so that was really cool not to have lug all that around. Wouldn't hesitate to stay there again.

Yelp
Location and comfort! The folks at Grenoble are great. Mr Champagne and Chantel were a special hit with our crew. We loved their spirit and attitude! So fun! This place was built in 1834 and is just dripping with history in its bones. Our suite was great for our group of boys. Keep in mind that you may have a lengthy climb. 3 stories up on winding staircases and my boys all made it each night. (Mostly in bad shape LOL!) The courtyard and hotel was very quiet, even while being so close to Bourbon. The place felt very secure which is a comfort. You need to ring the doorbell to be let in. 24hrs a day there is someone at the front. You can safely stumbke back here. Beds were great. Cleaning was great. Absolutely ZERO bad about this place. For its age, Grenoble does a wonderful job. I have one warning: It's a place that will only make you fall harder in love for this town.

Amanda J.

Yelp
Amazing cozy home away from home! Only regret was wishing I stayed longer! The host was warm and welcoming

Yelp
We were in New Orleans for a concert at the Saenger and thought this would be a good place to stay in terms of location. Well, while the location is okay and we never felt unsafe, it isn't the most picturesque of areas in the French Quarter but I guess that's what you get for the price. We arrived for check-in at 3 and our room was not ready until after 4, which put us behind for our dinner reservations. The lobby is kind of shabby and the staff throughout our stay ranged from semi-friendly to disinterested. The staff was watching Fox News in the lobby. Very unprofessional. Political shows of any sort should not be playing in a business environment. While the pool and courtyard of the building is pretty, our room was dark, dreary, poorly decorated with zero New Orleans charm. Beds were horribly uncomfortable and there was nothing at all luxurious about the sheets, pillows or bedding. We are not demanding or picky guests, and of course we had a good time during our visit, but we would not stay at Grenoble House again.

Yelp
I really made a poor choice in my decision to stay here. I should have read the reviews more throughly both on yelp and trip advisor before booking. I should have read their cancellation policy closely before booking shame on me. Let's start with the good. The staff is friendly. The mini breakfast pastries are good. I think that's it. I was so excited for my NOLA trip. This room was booked months in advance. I booked a King Executive Suite directly on their website. I immediately called to request a quiet room. Javier told me he could accommodate my request by putting me in the back. After checking in I knew there was a problem. They gave me room 207. Although its off the street and only one unit is below they failed to recognize it shares a wall with the Holiday Inn next door. From 9/9:30 to 5/6 the industrial washers and dryers of the hotel next door are running all day next to you. Next to the bedroom in fact and also audible in both the living room and bedroom. I immediately notified the front desk. They called the owner Vic and basically told me there is nothing they can do to help me. I paid $199 for 2 of these nights and $349 for the other 2. I absolutely feel ripped off. If I were traveling on the company dime I would have checked out immediately. Vic hasn't felt the need to contact me about the room or offer any type or reimbursement. In addition to the room being very noisy the room was dirty. I thought I'd give housekeeping the benefit of the doubt but after one day it was clear no sweeping, vacuuming, mopping of any type was done. My black hair was still on the white bathroom tile. Shower knob felt like soap scum. There were crumbs in the dining area from a previous guest. Dust was on walls and framed art in the bedroom, ceiling fan and heating/cooling vents. There are no windows which can be opened in the unit. Only the main door. The other pair of french doors are dead bolted. The bedroom had outside shutters nailing it shut. There are no other windows in the unit. All rooms had aluminum blinds which do not help with sound or temperature insulation. Usually hotels have curtains which help with both. I've had better experiences at a Motel 6. I normally do not post photos but my stay was so horrible I feel it necessary to share. I do not recommend staying here.

Yelp
What a gem! Yes, it's old, rickety, doesn't have great wifi, and the water pressure is a bit weak. But the friendly attentive staff, perfect location and overall charm is why I'd definitely return here in the future. The room (#301) was essentially a modest 2br/2ba apartment with a dedicated family room, kitchen and dining area that could comfortably accommodate a family of 6. I loved my stay here.

Debra P.

Yelp
Had reservations for one night @ Grenoble house for one night. I booked and paid prior to my arrival .Check in time stated 3 pm man at service desk told !e our room was being cleaned . So we waited till 4pm to inquire about our room, I ask to speak to Manager desk clerk became angry at that time I took a picture of desk clerk. The desk clerk knocks my phone out of my hand ,now I have to replace my phone. When I go to pick up my phone desk clerk pulls out a large stick and grabs me around my throat in front on my daughter in law. At that time I took my finger nails and scratched into his arm . I call 911...NOPD is a JOKE!!!! Desk clerk told cameras not work .... Camera everywhere!!!! I will NEVER visit New Orleans again !!!

Yelp
Went here in October & thought I should write a review. My boyfriend & I came earlier than planned but they had a room available for us and even helped us with our bags up the two flights of stairs. The front desk staff are very friendly and accommodating. We were brought to our room which was actually 2 because it had an upstairs bedroom & bathroom with the kitchen & living room downstairs. It was connected inside by a spiral staircase. The rooms were clean enough & they even provided water bottles that was refilled each day of our 4 night stay. We could've used the kitchen more, which included a stove & coffee maker. Juice, fruit, & cake were served near the front desk for the guests and I probably got more than I should. Our room was accessible by an actual key, & the key would need to be dropped off at the front desk before leaving. But somebody is always at the front desk for those late nights coming back from bourbon street a block away. On our last day, our flight was close to the evening but checkout was around noon I think. They let us leave our belongings with the front desk while we explored. Then right before we had to leave, they gave us our belongings & offered to call a cab for us. Our cheap butts decided to walk to the bus stop & take it to the airport. I would most likely come back to this place if I visit NOLA again. Important notes No elevators. Uses actual keys that need to be dropped off before leaving for the day. Outside doors to inside the rooms are kinda small if only one is opened.

Yelp
Amazing service, clean, cute courtyard, great staff, and in the heart of New Orleans. We really enjoyed our stay!!

Yelp
I highly recommend Grenoble house in the French Quarter. The suites are beautiful & clean. It feels like hanging out with family. Everyone is friendly and helpful. Thanks for the tips on food and sights Mark! Grenoble house added to our amazing time in New Orleans French Quarter. Close to EVERYTHING. We walked all over the place, enjoyed the festivities of carnival and it was always nice to come "home" to friendly people and a beautiful suite THANK YOU all at Grenoble House for making our stay so amazing.

Yelp
We had a great weekend here. The location is perfect! You are in the heart of the French Quarter within walking (or stumbling) distance from everything. I wouldn't even call this a hotel because it is so much better! The staff is all pleasant and helpful. Rooms which are really apartments are somehow authentic and modern at the same time. The pool and courtyard are great! We truly enjoyed our stay here and can't wait to go back!

Yelp
I wish that I were a better writer so that I could accurately describe just how great our stay here was. Staff: 10/10 If I could give them a 15/10 I would. Champagne was so, so, so great! The general manager (I'm so sorry, I can't remember your name!) was really cool. Everyone was so accommodating and pleasant, and genuine! They listened to us talk, asked questions, were engaging, and just super authentic. You could really ask them for help with anything, and I feel like they're the sort of people that would give you the shirt off their back. Lovely people. Location: 9/10 It's super close to pretty much everything. It's also far enough off the main roads to not be noisy when you're trying to sleep. We stayed in two rooms: one in the back, and one near the street. The room closest to the street was louder, of course, but the bedrooms were quiet. For proximity and peace in the Quarter it's almost perfect. Value: 10/10 Size and price are great. Cleanliness: 9/10 It's a 200 year old building, not a hospital. It was about as clean as our house, and we like to clean. (They have vacuums in the rooms, which we loved lol!) Housekeeping folds the towels in a cute way. Customer service: 10/10 They were able to help us find another room in our price range here in the hotel when we decided to stay an extra day. They always have cake and fresh coffee in the lobby. Their restaurant recommendations are great and there are some coupons in the lobby. Champagne recommend Oceana and it turned out to be one of the best, cutest, and least expensive meals we had. Aesthetic: 8-9/10 We stayed in the executive king and the 2 br townhouse. The King was an 8 only because the townhouse was a 9 lol! We were impressed with the King, but the other suite was gorgeous. It only gets a 9 because I bet the double floor Queens and Kings are even better! It feels like you're staying in an old luxury mansion. The courtyard and pool are private and absolutely beautiful. The whole place is gorgeous. The photos don't do it justice. This place is great. The other visitors were polite and kind. Everyone was respectful. It wasn't noisy or crowded. I feel like I should say something bad so it doesn't seem like I'm just trying to shill the place, but in all honesty everything was great, and we will 100% always stay here from now on, even if we have to save a little longer to afford it. I hope, if you're reading this, that yall decid to stay here and have just as great a time as we did.

Yelp
I found the Grenoble House by happenstance. All of the other hotels in the French Quarter were booked up when I was looking . By fortuitous searching I finally found this location. It is NOT a hotel! All of the rooms are nicely decorated with full kitchenettes, which can be a life saver when one does not want to fight the crowds for a late night nibble. It is also a perfect location for families or those who do not want to eat out for every meal. When I booked the room, Vic, the owner, confirmed the dates personally. The entire staff was very welcoming and helpful when I arrived very late. They even procured the essential Diet Coke for the room. (Some people have their "needs" that do not make sense to anyone else.) The rooms still use traditional keys, which are to be left at the front desk to minimize losing them in the French Quarter and inviting unsavory folks from raiding one's room whilst out and about. There is always someone awake and friendly at the front desk to buzz one in regardless of the hour. Even though I never arrived back to the Grenoble House in an "unfit condition", which could easily happen to one while taking in the festive atmosphere of the local bars, pubs, and restaurants, I have little doubt that the staff would assist such a person reach their room. Despite being in the heart of the French Quarter, the rooms are surprisingly quiet, albeit, as long as the other guests are courteous with their noise level. I did not experience any disturbances but voices do carry in the courtyard, which can be heard in the rooms. Because of the historical value of the Grenoble House and the endless difficulties Vic experienced with the insurance company, there are still a few renovations and upgrades being added. Vic was gracious enough to make sure that the WiFi was strong enough to accommodate all of my computer networking needs. I highly recommend this location for anyone.

Yelp
review title: Get your own damn cab! I stayed at this hotel many times before. this experience-really different. They have ancient Curmudgeon men running the front desk. They won't lift a finger to do anything. This is hospitality at its worst. Wait to hear a story: I was leaving today and asked for some help with the bag. Mind you there's no phones and you can't call the front desk ...there's only a reservation line. The front desk, curmedgeon said that he had a bad back And could not help me and there was nobody else on promises that could. It was a Monday morning and I would think there would be a lot of departures but not a single person to help. So I went back upstairs three flights and askEd a maid that happened to be working around my room if she would assist me and I would give her a nice tip. When we came down to the front desk. The guy behind the desk said shame on you for asking a maid to help me.. Shame on me? Are you in the hospitality industry or what? She gladly assisted me and .she grudgingly took the $20 tip I gave her. I asked the guy behind the desk to please get me a cab and he said get your own damn cab. Website indicates that they have people to help but they do not and there are no elevators. This man would never have said that to another man ...only to a 60-year-old woman. I'm calling my lawyer and hope he will be fired. Beware anyone who needs assistance or handicap folks. No help and attitude. I am beyond shocked and appalled and I'm still shaking experience and I'll be calling my lawyers .

Yelp
We have stayed here several times. Last time was 10-3-19. Awesome staff. Wonderful rooms with full kitchens. Very clean with great beds. Also great looking location. This place is the best place in the quarter for the money. Gail
google avatar

Chuck T.

Yelp
Enormous space for the money that probably can't be beat in the quarter. I checked out two days early though from room 204 because it was full daylight in the bedroom at 6am. No shades cover the windows so if you like to sleep in and are at all bothered by light this is not your spot. Also the bathroom is rather dated and kind of gross.

Yelp
What a peaceful place to stay and so conveniently located in the French Quarter. The staff were wonderful and incredibly friendly! The rooms were very clean. We will definitely be back! Thank you for the hospitality Grenoble house

Yelp
This hotel was so adorable! It's older but I actually loved the classic decor. The staff was SO friendly and helpful. Hot tub, great location in French quarter, and large balcony. I was so happy with my stay at this hotel!

Gail L.

Yelp
So we've stayed here several times so the person that booked our family knew us from the past. We arrived to find that not only did they "forget" to reserve our room for the 4 nights, but even after reading the emails confirming our stay, didn't even get on the phone or apologize - they just left us standing in the lobby to find another hotel! In all the years traveling, this has never happened - and "Vic", the operations manager didn't give a rats ass about their screw up. But to not even apologize or offer to help us move into another location....simply unacceptable. I would NEVER recommend this place....who does this in a service industry - especially to people who have been guests before!!!

Elaine M.

Yelp
Highly disappointed in this hotel. I don't know if this runs true for all the rooms but ours was in serious need of updating. Nothing felt fresh and as a result a bit dirty. We had a room on the second floor with two beds in one room plus a living room and a kitchenette. The size was nice and we liked the old French style of all the rooms opening to the balcony. We had many sets of French doors. The furniture though was worn and saggy. Even the towels were of a lower grade. I would have expected large fluffy spa like towels but instead were what would be found at an old family beach house where no one every bothers to replace them. One particular situation I would like to highlight. During our stay we had a heavy thunderstorm one afternoon. There were very heavy rains and high winds. My daughter and I had been napping when the thunder woke us up. I got up to use the bathroom and stepped in a river of water on the floor. The rain and wind was coming at an angle that the water was pouring in under the french doors in the bedroom. On my way to the bathroom I found water dripping from a couple of spots in the ceiling too. I called down and explained the issue. A very nice young man came to the door with a couple of towels. I just laughed. A couple of towels wasn't going to put a dent in the issue. He put what he had down and went back to get more. We ended up with a rug of towels in the bedroom and little mats around the living room for the drips. He then told us that they would probably be going up on the roof that weekend to see about the leaks, blaming it on the the age of the structure. We heard this a lot through out our stay. Seems to me if you are operating what is supposed to be a high end hotel that it should be in good repair no matter the vintage of the property. I think though that we will always remember this incident and laugh about it. I did like the fresh drinks that they always available. Breakfast was okay but certainly not exceptional. The afternoon pastries were nice and homemade, I think. Front desk service was spotty. Some were exceptional and others bordered on rude. We had to leave our key at the front desk whenever we went out, at times there wasn't anyone there to take it so we had to wait. Finally you should be aware that they don't have any parking facility here or any agreement with anyone for a discounted rate. You can pull up in front of the hotel to load or unload.

Yelp
I recently stayed there for 4 days...and I will DEFINITELY be staying there again. The location is perfect! The staff was perfect!! The room was like a cute little apt. Really enjoyed my stay and the bed was so comfy!! If you're looking for a cozy/safe place to stay in the French quarter. This is the place!!

Yelp
We loved our stay! We dropped our bags off pretty early and went our our way to explore the city. Before check in, we had to use the restrooms and were close by, so we stopped in to ask if we could use theirs. They were actually about to reach out to tell us our room was ready early. Our bags had already been taken up to the room. We had requested the Executive King, but were told we had a free upgrade to a different King? Not sure what the difference was, but our room was great. Large kitchen space, living room space, bedroom and bathroom. Everything was super clean, and the AC was cold. One thing... it didn't have any silverware even though it was supposed to be a fully stocked kitchen, but oh well. We checked out the pool, and it was small, but very clean. I loved the whole backyard area. There was not many visitors during our stay, so the place was quiet late night and in the morning, but I could tell the walls may be thin during season. I had brought ear plugs just in case ;) We would definitely stay here again, if we were to ever be able to make it back to New Orleans. It's one street away from Bourbon, which was helpful due to the lack of clean bathrooms in the area. We saw two wedding celebrations from our windows, walking down Dauphine during our stay, which was awesome. We found a bunch of good restaurants closeby. Although the entire staff seemed very friendly, Chantal and Aaron (and another gentleman, whose name I can't remember right now) were super helpful and kind. I loved Grenoble House, and would recommend it to anyone. Thanks for taking care of us, guys!

Yelp
My husband and I planned a kid-free trip to New Orleans in October. Our suite was so perfect for us! The rooms were spacious and inviting. The courtyard was adorable and relaxing. The staff was friendly and accommodating. The location was very convenient! I liked being in a private hotel, not the traditional kind. I felt like I was at a bed and breakfast! I enjoyed having my morning coffee on the patio in front of our apartment. In the afternoon, I would sit by the pool and read a book or take a nap. The ambiance was pleasant overall!

Yelp
Since I procrastinate in every avenue of my life, by the time I decided I would definitely be attending Essence Fest, all the well known, chain hotels were fully booked. I happened upon Grenoble House, and though they weren't exactly cheap, I took a chance and booked because- no other options. As the date approached, I grew more nervous about the hotel, feeling that I would suffer due to the lack of the amenities offered by major hotel chains. I was so very pleasantly surprised when I arrived! No, there is no elevator but there is a porter to carry luggage to the rooms. The rooms! It felt like I had rented a studio apartment. I had a mini kitchen, living room area and large bedroom seperated by a pocket door. Charming is the word that comes to mind. Located about 2 blocke from Bourbon and easy access to Canal, I seriously could not have asked for more. When we checked out, the front desk even called for car service to the airport which was a very comfortable and luxe Escalade. I will definitely return to Grenoble on any future trips to New Orleans!

Yelp
Beautiful, comfortable hotel in a great location. We stayed in 102 (cheapest room) and it was a small apartment with living room, bedroom, full kitchen and bath. Our refrigerator was even stocked with bottled water at no extra charge. Other non-corporate-hotel touches included real antique furniture and a vase and art that were not bolted down. We were on the first floor and our living room windows opened right onto Dauphine Street, which was pretty entertaining. The front desk staff were helpful and had great local restaurant recommendations. This hotel is a little different in that you have to turn in your key to the front desk when you leave and pick it up on return, but this is surprisingly nonintrusive. There is a small selection of breakfast stuff (included) in the lobby every morning. The hotel is a short walk from Bourbon Street, cemetery, and French Quarter attractions in general. We would definitely stay here again.

Yelp
I recently stayed at Grenoble House with my sister after we visited NOLA for a couple days before heading to Lafayette for a wedding. Grenoble House exceeded our expectations of our stay in NOLA. The location is within walking distance to many of the major sites in the lovely city. We were able to walk to Bourbon St, Frenchmen's Street, Cafe du Monde, and many places to eat. The staff members at the hotel were very accommodating and welcoming. They right away offered us a map of the city which was so helpful during our stay and recommended some places to see and eat. It was really important for us to get good recommendations because we literally had 2 days there. They offered a continental breakfast in the courtyard every morning and were always very interactive with us about what we liked, what we didn't like etc. They really seemed to care about our opinion. As far as the room or should I say mini apartment, we loved it! I was so thankful it was well air-conditioned since the city was very humid. The room was spacious and the little living area included couches, tv, and a coffee table. The kitchen included a fridge, dishwasher, and a couple of dishes with a coffee maker. I really felt like I was living in New Orleansin a cozy apartment. We couldn't believe how nice it was! The mini apartments included a small balcony to overlook the courtyard which was so relaxing. The actual secluded courtyard with tables to eat, a pool which I used a couple of times to cool off and relax. I couldn't have asked for more. It was definitely a place to relax from all the business of the city. They do take your key when you leave the hotel but there is always someone at the reception to give it back to you when you come back into the hotel. They were also able to help us book a swamp tour (highly recommend) and a walking tour of the city. They looked through brochures with us and set everything up for us. If you are looking for a quiet relaxing stay I would definitely recommend this hotel and would book again if/when I return to NOLA!

Yelp
This hotel is great. The rooms are more like small apartments. Our place was on an inner courtyard so it was quiet. The ambiance was one of a calm oasis nestled among the historic hullabaloo of the Quarter. The staff are very polite and friendly. Would definitely stay here again.

In all the years traveling, this has never happened - and "Vic", the operations manager didn't give a damn about their screw up. But to not even apologize or offer to help us move into another location....simply unacceptable. I would NEVER recommend this place....who does this in a service industry - especially to people who have been guests before!!!

Yelp
Stayed at Grenoble house in the latter part of May 2015. We had room 207 which was in the old servants quarters. It was quiet..very quiet! Room immaculate bed oh so comfy! Vince, Vic and all employees where a delight. From the early morning coffee to the afternoon respite in the hall gallery where a delight. Maintenance is on going due to Katrina.Yet it does not interfere. Pool is a delight along with jacuzzi. I like the European flair of a 24/7 concierge. Felt very safe. Very secure. A gem for a quick weekend or extended stay. Our apt. had a full kitchen. Will return and stay here for sure.In the heart of the French Quarter!

Yelp
We travel a lot for work. This was an occasion where we were traveling for vacation, and picked the Grenoble house for the convenience of its location (stumbling distance from Bourbon St) and the amenities of the room (full kitchen). We stayed in room 106. Best hotel experience ever! The staff is so friendly and accommodating. They were happy to answer any questions we had, steered us towards a lovely restaurant that was a local favorite, and took great care to make sure everything was to our liking. They're down to earth fun people who you can have a conversation with beyond the formality of your accommodations. Weird quirk, they follow an old European system of keeping your room key (it's not a card or anything, it's a standard key) when you leave, and then buzz you in through the locked front door. It's weird, but then when you come back to an unassuming locked door and are buzzed in regardless of hour or condition, you find yourself relieved that you don't have to search for the key, and that there aren't crazy drunk people (who don't belong there) freely entering the hotel to create a ruckus. There's always someone at the door, 24/7, and they welcome you back in no matter what condition you're in, haha! What's more is you won't have a hotel maid waking you in the morning to clean your room because they won't come by until you've left with the key dropped off. So you can sleep in as long as you like undisturbed. The room itself was lovely with a full kitchen, full living room, full bedroom and bathroom. It was like having a mini apartment in the French Quarter. The old wood charm of the furniture and decor is delightful, and the courtyard in the back with a pool and hot tub is a great way to unwind. What's best about the location was, because you were a block off from Bourbon, you can easily join the party anytime, or escape to the safe quiet Grenoble House to recover your liver. We will gladly recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to NOLA, and will only ever stay here. Switching back to the standard chain hotels after this will be forever disappointing.

Yelp
A hidden gem! Super nice folks run this place and it's clean and you can't beat the nightly rate. Spacious rooms with kitchenettes and living room. A cute pool and a small jacuzzi too. Continental breakfast included for this too hung over to venture out to a breakfast joint. I'll be back often!

Yelp
If you are looking for a place to stay in New Orleans, you should definitely consider this place! Very affordable, spacious, and right smack in the middle of the French Quarter. The staff was always nice, friendly, and knowledgeable about New Orleans. In terms of value, it's the best you can get for that price. I highly recommend it!

Yelp
Great stay here! A block from bourban street but it was quiet. Nice, clean suites with character. Hospitality was great. Highly recommended!

Yelp
Right in the heart of the French Quarter, a block from Bourbon Street. A large, quaint suite (and mine was the small one), clean and with everything you could need. The people are welcoming and knowledgeable. I will definitely return and recommend this beautiful small hotel completely.

Yelp
Absolutely loved this gem of a "hotel"! Stayed for a week in this charmer and could not have been more pleased with it! Located just a block off of Bourbon street so it's walking distance to nearly everything! The suite was perfect - a full kitchen, living room, & bedroom really set it apart from a "regular" hotel. Very clean rooms, light pastries served in the morning, and super friendly staff. The only downsides? Slow wifi & light water pressure, but do NOT let those things deter you from booking a room with them! We were sad to leave our home for a week & would definitely recommend!

Yelp
I've been to NOLA a few times and this place is by far my favorite. This time was for a last minute trip (our original flight was cancelled due to weather so we decided to go to NOLA instead). They were so helpful even though we were last minute and they even accommodated us when we had to leave a day early bc of weather issues with flights again. The place was so big and just like the pictures. It was also quiet and a close walk to all the fun. They knew we were celebrating a birthday and they went above and beyond to make the birthday girl feel special with balloons and a cake! If you stay there make sure to ask for a cab to be set up. They guy they recommended for our departure was way better and a good bit cheaper than the uber we took to get there. I will defiantly be back!

Yelp
This hotel is fantastic and is located only a block from Bourbon St, which, to be honest, should be renamed "Drunken Moron Alley." At any rate, the staff at the hotel are crazy-friendly and bent over backwards to accommodate three of the biggest, over educated drunken dipshits the world has ever known. The room we were in (suite104) was really nice and slept three drunken buffoons comfortably. Look, on the first night when we rolled back into our room at 5:00 am, drunk, and my buddy Steve sloppily helped himself to a giant pile of the complimentary cake that have sitting out (along with some really good coffee, as well) nobody batted an eye, or said a word about his drunken gluttony. In fairness he DID eat all of the cake. The next night, the ever-drunk Steve and I took an accidental tumble into the gutter along Bourbon St and came up covered in backed-up sewer water (it was his fault: he fell and grabbed onto me, pulling me down). We smelled like I can't even begin to describe! It was 4:30 in the morning so we decided to wrap it up and head back to the room. When the person at the desk let us in, covered head to toe in filth, and smelling like we'd bathed in a port-o-let, all he did was chuckle and say, "Looks like you boys took a bit of a tumble!" He even helped Steve pile up his slices of cake (actually, now that I think of it, he probably was just trying to keep Steve AWAY from the cake) and hold the door open for us so we could weave our way back to our room. In the morning, everyone was polite and didn't acknowledge our performance from the night before. What I'm REALLY trying to say is I'll be back with my wife (NOT Steve) and I'll stay here again. In addition, I'll probably also avoid Bourbon St.

Yelp
A group of us stayed here for our annual 'moms trip' in late May and stayed in the two story suite. It was plenty of room for everyone with great location and friendly staff. I would highly recommend staying here especially if you are looking for the historical feel. This is not a modern elevator sky-rise so keep that in mind. They helped organize us with a gator tour and plantation tour and we had a great trip. You can walk anywhere in the French Quarter.

Yelp
The Grenoble house has amazing rooms and the friendliest staff on earth. We enjoyed lounging in the hot tub and reading in the living room with all of the 10' doors open. I would stay here again in a heart beat. The staff goes to great lengths to ensure you have a pleasant stay.
