Stayed 1-4th August.|Our 3rd stay here whilst visiting family. A perfect stay. All of the staff are just so friendly, helpful and all round amazing, from the reception staff, waitresses & waiters, catering/housekeepers, bar staff and bouncers, all with such wonderful banter and humour. Breakfast was varied and delicious and certainly service with a smile. Dinner at the James Joyce restaurant was 10/10 with easily the best steak we’ve ever tasted, rib-eye with such amazing flavours. Our room was spacious, modern and clean (ask for a refurbed room, the older one I stayed in for my first visit when I was here alone wasn’t so nice but the refurbed are excellent).|Great music in the bar on our last night and what an atmosphere.|No doubt we will be back when next visiting family and we look forward to it.

Easily the worst experience we had at dining in Mullingar, if not Ireland. Please see the picture attached and tell me if you would be happy paying 17euro for that.. Ease note. Not one spoonful is gone. This was 17 euro. Honest review: One star for my experience as a day guest only. I have given one star for one particular experience. This is not an attack on the hotel, it's rooms, it's accommodation or it's location. This is purely because the carvery staff were so incompetent, clueless , and unprofessional. Worst staff I have ever had the misfortune of dealing with. Especially a certain staff member who put me and my family in physical danget. (The police have since been informed) We actually feared for our safety and the management wad atrocious "it's best you guys leave because her family are violent" is nor how to manage your guests or staff. We asked for the manager because we felt threatened but they were also afraid of conflict so we decided to leave. The circus the Grevile arms Hotel management has become, is comical. The management were so incompetent that instead of reviewing the cameras, they decided to fabricate a story protecting the qualified buffet and plate technician. Mainly because they were afraid of the poor goujon girls family Members I'd never return. I'll go out of my way to encourage to do the same. 0/10

This is a lovely hotel in the town of Mullingar. Very well situated. It's like a tardis. Looks small from the front, but is big inside. Foyer, bar and dining room. Staff are friendly and very helpful. Parking at rear of property is gated and feels secure. Room we had was quite small but very well equipped. We stayed one night, but if we stayed longer I would have asked for a bigger room. Breakfast was included in price and was very good. Plentiful. We ate in the bar on the evening of arrival and the food was good. Value for money and the staff where attentive. Would recommend.

Just returned home after an amazing 2 nights in the Greville Hotel. It was my first holiday on my own with my 1 year old and we loved every second of it. The staff couldn’t have been more helpful and friendly. They were so accommodating with helping me store my buggy & providing ice buckets for my toddlers milk. An extra shoutout to Barbara. She was amazing!! We will definitely be back again. A fantastic hotel with fantastic staff.

Didn't stay here but had a few drinks there. Sat in the foyer as it was a bit busy and noisy. Asked the male receptionist for the password for the WiFi as we needed to keep in touch with family. He wrote it down I asked being a pensioner if he could do it for me . No he didn't found him rude and totally unhelpful. He said he was busy doing a 🎂. No he wasn't as he was doing nothing when asked to do it for me. Absolutely no customer service skills 😒 when I said he wasn't very helpful he said I've no intention of getting into an argument with you. There was no argument at all just asking for assistance. I've been in customer service all my life and feel maybe a word in his ear to be a bit more polite to his customers. Thanks in advance

Yelp
Very comfortable. Great pub with music. Well priced. Very nice breakfast. No lift. I would go back to this very nice in town location.

Yelp
I checked in here for New Years Eve. It's a nice hotel, there's quite a nice, vintage feel to the place. Crooked stairs, old paintings. The staff seemed very rushed off their feet, understandably. The check in was quick, we made our way to the room which was four flights of stairs, there's no elevator, which isn't handy when you have to carry heavy bags or when you're drunk. The room was comfortable and bright. The bathroom was extremely old fashioned, with green tiles, toilet and bath. It could definitely do with updating! Breakfast was good, full buffet style. Hot food was served by staff, the rest was self-serve. Although, with the hangover I had, I couldn't enjoy the breakfast. But my goodness, the Juice went down a treat. The car park is tiny, it's almost impossible to manoeuvre a car around without almost crashing into another car. The hotel is right on the Main Street, beside a lot of bars, restaurants and shops. Overall, it's quite a nice hotel with very friendly staff. It could do with a little updating and maybe an elevator but other than that, it's great!
