Everything was perfect, fast and easy check in, rooms were clean and we had a great sleep, reasonably priced compared to other hotels. Went to the buffet for supper and breakfast, food was awesome and reasonably priced (you can't go wrong when paying $22 for 2 breakfasts) eggs, bacon, hash browns, sausage and coffees. Staff were always friendly and polite. Casino was fun, we lost a bunch but ended up winning it all back and quite a bit more. Great place to stay, this was our 2nd time staying and we will hopefully go back in the future.

The venue itself was awesome—great sound, clean space, and a perfect setting for a concert like SB19. BUT the security team really killed the vibe. They were too aggressive and unnecessarily strict. One moment stood out: the crowd was cheering on a young girl to dance—she was literally standing in front of her own seat, enjoying the moment like everyone else. Even SB19 encouraged us to stand up and have fun. But a security guard singled her out and embarrassed her in front of the whole section. Totally uncalled for. It felt like they were enforcing rules just for the sake of shutting things down—not for safety or order. This kind of energy doesn’t belong in a concert that’s built around joy, community, and connection. I hope future events here come with better, more understanding crowd control. The artists and fans deserve better.

We were so pleased at how beautiful the rooms were. And the staff are amazing. The beds are very firm, which is nice. Pillows are soft. It was a great stay. I love the fact you need your key card to use the elevator so no unwanted people around. Every single staff member was very pleasant, eager to help and a joy to be around.

I mean come on next to Las Vegas this place is where you should be. Great bands! Bingo for the bingo lover in us. Robbi ( my sister-in-law) and 24/7 casino with half smoking. I have yet to check out their hotel but this place has something for everyone!! At 3am it's calm, for those of us who like a little mellower time. You have to check this out!!

Google
Great Casino. Lots of games, people, great live music, friendly service. It's a cigarette smoking venue which is not my favorite thing but otherwise a fun place. The buffet was small but really good.

Google
We stopped here for the pet friendliness & casino. They even give you a small goodie bag for your pet (pictured - a toy, treats, and a roll of waste bags)! The rooms for pets are on floor 2 and they were very clean, quiet, and updated! We loved our stay here. Those opening the doors are prompt and so kind. Pool is indoors, hot tub outdoors.

Google
Honestly, I was absolutely shocked at how beautiful this place was. The buffet restaurant in the casino was absolutely fantastic and I loved it very much. There was a nice variety of everything and the desserts were delicious. I highly recommend going here as a group or even as a lovely date, it's totally worth it. The pictures on the walls spoke volumes to me and I worshiped each and everyone of them. What a fantastic place ❤️

Google
Great place to go for a concert at their events center. The venue layout is pretty good. The only downside is that the floor seating felt uncomfortable and cramped. Three small people and we were overlapping each other while seated. Next time, I will try the graduated seating. It looked more comfortable. If you plan on eating at the casino, get there early. The food is really good at the buffet and people will line up to eat there.

Yelp
The boys and I were really excited to find that there was a prime rib special ($32.99) on New Year's Day! We had to phone to make reservations because OpenTable wasn't working properly. As expected, there was a long queue when we arrived, but you can walk up to the front and wait by the "Reservations/Special Guests" sign and the staff will seat you quickly. My son and I made a beeline to the prime rib(there were two choices: medium rare and medium well), fish (sans chips), crab cakes, and butter green beans Almondine. The usual condiments (tartar sauce, au jus, horseradish, chili oil) were provided on the side. The prime rib was juicy and meltingly tender, the green beans were delicious and tender-crisp, and the perfectly seasoned crab cakes were packed with a generous portion of crabmeat (I'm adding an extra star to this review on account of these crab cakes!). The lightly battered fish was delicious without the chips. However, the grilled shrimp skewers were bland (they looked like they were steamed/boiled), and the marinated steaks were thin and overcooked. With the exception of the chocolate fountain(with profiteroles, pineapple, marshmallows, honeydew and cantaloupe), most of the dessert choices were lacklustre. The sangria jello tasted like cheap wine(the boys and I would have preferred it to be sweeter) and the creme brûlée was served in a huge pyrex dish instead of individual ramekins.

Yelp
I visited Gray Eagle in Calgary awhile ago after being told that it's a step up from River Cree. This buffet has a lot more variety and the set-up felt more open. Some of the items that stood out the most were Scallop, Crab Legs, Crab/Lobster Claws, beef, and all the fruits/fondue. Overall, it was quite nice and I'd give it 8.3/10

Yelp
Wednesday Pan-asian night! Make sure to book reservation! Skipped passed the 20 person line at 7:30. Excellent options like, Duck, roast pork, korean short ribs, beef skewers, small clams, beef chow fun, ginger beef, dim sum items, sushi and sashimi. Good salad bar and desert options. Free pop, $37/ pp.

Yelp
Went there for a work conference. The conference was in the hotel so we stayed there. Room was great, clean and spacious. The Indigenous art was amazing! Staff were friendly including security and person at the door. During the conference, we had some issues with the audio but IT come to help right away and got the issue fixed. The food in the casino was okay (I'm sure the restaurant food could have been better). We had left over treats at the conference and staff was happy to box it for us. Definitely hope to go again and explore more!

Always a fun time win or lose Food is good and reasonably priced Good entertainment in event centre

Yelp
I don't know what happened but they have been going down hill for a while. Prices went up, food selection went down and their antiquated point of sale system actually got worse. Possibly new managers? I dunno. The food they add peppers to makes no sense and if you are cutting food costs why would you garnish with the most expensive vegetables. Veal? Another expensive cost. Most people dislike it you may want to offer two selections. Deserts......most are frozen premade crap now. They turned a gem into a lump of coal. How do you run out of ribs 1 hour into brunch....it is turning into a joke.

Yelp
I stayed at the hotel for 1 night. Spent $200 for a Sunday night. The front desk service was friendly and efficient. The room was beautiful and the bed was comfortable. Since I'm on a carnivore diet, I went to the buffet for dinner for Prime Rib. It was flavourful but I don't think it was worth the price. In the morning, I had breakfast at the Little Chief. The service was great and the food was hot and tasty. All in all, I'd recommend this hotel aside from the fact that the cost of the room was pricier than most hotels of the same caliber.

Yelp
Grey Eagle breakfast in the buffet restaurant was great deal . From 9-10:30 am gets you 2 eggs , bacon , sausage , hash browns , toast & bottomless coffee . Great time to meet up with family or friends to enjoy . Great service , good food & great price

Yelp
Went to a concert at the event center. There was enough staff to get everyone in quickly once the doors opened. There were plenty of bars set up throughout the event center and they had short quick lines for expensive drinks but what do you expect at a concert? There was plenty of floor space and the acoustics weren't too bad either.

Yelp
Went to this Casino with a few friends last Friday. We ate at the buffet. It was fine, nothing to write home about. We then went to the Blaze Bar and Grill to watch a band play. It was okay at first but the smoke started to get really bad. My eyes were burning and I started to feel really bogged down by it. As the night wore on, the crowd became intense. I started to feel unwelcome and that someone might say something to me or one of my friends at any given moment. The vibe was not pleasant. Myself and my friends where feeling uneasy. So much so that we decided to leave early. As I was leaving, a big guy who I noticed had his eye on me during the night approached me and held my arm very firmly and asked why I was leaving so soon. I kept walking, hopped into a cab with my friends and left. I won't be back.

Yelp
Grey Eagle Buffet _$29.99 . This was just fine. I wouldn't go back again and didn't feel goof after. I didn't even eat much for a buffet and nothing tasted special. Great for an average meal, but definitely not worth the visit or recommendation. I'm glad I finally checked it out, but definitely prefer my $1,99 breakie at @cashcasinocalgary. It's fine for a buffet, but if you love food there's 100 other places I could recommend instead. You also have to pay in advance before sitting down.

James B.

Yelp
Went to Grey Eagle Casino for supper and some slots yesterday. Slots were fine, despite the smokiness of the place. The food service is where the stars drop. Ordered fish and chips, and the fish, while being more fish than batter, had an off taste to it. Maybe it was just the type of fish, but I didn't eat more than the couple of bites I had. Server was non existent. No mid meal "how's everything tasting" nothing. We paid for our meals and went back to play some more. Once we left, I started feeling gross, and just shook it off as being tired, and eating so late. Fast forward to laying in bed, feeling like absolute garbage. Was it the dodgy fish? Who knows. But enough of a deterrent from eating there again.

Janet L.

Yelp
Excellent amenities, outdoor hot tub was clean and HOT, food was delicious, only negative comment was the service at the restaurant was slow - however it appeared they were understaffed.

Yelp
This Review is for the BUFFET within Grey Eagle Resort Casino. As you can see from my photo, they have nightly features that highlights different cuisines from Seafood to Prime Rib to International. Much like many other Casinos, their Buffet is relatively reasonably priced. For Friday to Sunday Nights, they feature Albertan Prime Rib of Beef Buffet for $27.99! I am not going to say the Prime Rib is the best, in fact it is slightly above average, it is cooked very well, as you can see, its perfectly medium rare, but the taste is not as intense as you might expect the kind of beef from Alberta. I had been to another Casino for their Prime Rib Night (No Buffet in that one), their beef quality is much higher! But considering the price you pay and other items you get along with the beef, it is not a bad deal, remember to ask for your complimentary Tea after your meal! ( only Tea is complimentary, if you want coffee, its extra!).

Yelp
I came here for dinner at 8pm. No line up. The food seemed freshly rolled out considering they were a buffet. The prime rib was nicely cooked. The desserts were diverse. Caution the tend to undercook the noodles. The clam chowder was my grandma's homemade batch. Fantastic. Service was attentive. It was almost perfect, except they didnt have ice cream.

Yelp
Tried their seafood buffet here. Line was long to get in and even had a line to get the food itself. When we finally got to enjoy the crab and lobster it was so dry.there's a time limit to eat which they were lenient about. Had prime rib as an option - nothing special. But 49.99 for this quality of seafood no thanks. Disappointed

Yelp
Very friendly desk staff. A nice hot tub outdoors. The rooms were clean and a pleasant stay.

Yelp
Really doesn't seem to have any flow to the placement of machines. They smoke inside still as it is on reserve. Parking is a bit of a challenge and coffee station was actually gross. Thought about getting a cup. Then some haggard old lady started coughing all over it. Soooo no thanks.

Yelp
Worst place ever!! We attended a very sad celebration of life and had a few drinks prior to going to the casino. We were minding our own business at the bar in the casino and confronted by 6 security guards who thought we were not up to their standard. I'm have never been so embarrassed. Terrible people!!! Then when we were leaving we saw them rough up another person. Do not go there ever!!

Yelp
LOVE this place so much! The rooms were amazing! Beds really comfortable and don't get me started on the free breakfast! Omelette bar, salmon, waffles, pancakes, scrambled eggs, bacon sausage, pastries, cereal, toast, bagels, fruit, MOrE and MOrE! I asked the front desk for a medical clinic because I was coming down with bronchitis and when I ordered room service they brought me a get well card hand signed by numerous employees at the hotel! Then called me 30 min after getting my meal and said the chief wanted them to bring up some sorbet with fresh fruit because I had such a hoarse voice I could barely speak! Soooooo nice! Over and beyond!

Yelp
I love, love, LOVE Grey Eagle! I came here on a work trip and we were hosting an event at the hotel while there. I can't tell you how fantastic our while experience was. Our stay here started with checking in to the hotel and getting our rooms. Walking in, I couldn't believe how bright and welcoming the hotel was. The huge lobby was decorated for Christmas and was so inviting. The staff here are lovely, and so helpful if you need anything or have any questions. The rooms are fantastic, with their large spaces, comfy beds, and all the amenities you may need during your stay. I loved how all the toiletries were from a local Native company, keeping in line with the resorts Indigenous affiliation. We met with Kelleagh, who organizes events at the resort, and grabbed a drink and a bite to eat at the Little Chief Restaurant. They have do many First Nations inspired options on the menu, and we were lucky to try a few. The restaurant uses local ingredients that are grown, harvested, and foraged from a local reserve. Everything we tried was so delicious, but my personal favourite was the poutine with buffalo meat and Saskatoon berry gravy! Kelleagh had some great insights into the food for us and we learned a lot... It probably helps that her husband is the Head Chef! The only reason I'm not giving it 5 stars is because the construction happening around here is a bit of an inconvenience. I know it's inevitable with a new spot like this, but it's still a pain. I can't wait to come back here in February!

Yelp
I think this is Calgary's newest casino and resort situated in the southern part of the city. The road leading to the casino is a bit confusing since it's like a small circle but when you aren't sure where you are going, you can miss the turnoff! I had an event to attend there, we managed to get to the parking lot but totally missed the event centre entrance! All we saw was the casino entrance and the hotel entrance. The parking lot is a fair size and the event centre seems a bit small. The washrooms were nice and there are two on each side of the meeting room we were in. It was very quiet inside but the stage can be easily seen along with two screens. The temperature of the room was comfortable as the chairs. This was the second time I wanted to book a room at the resort but found that only 1 king bed rooms were available and the price is quite high. Guess maybe I have to book more than one month in advance. Didn't get a chance to experience anything else here...yet.

Yelp
Went to the Grey Eagle Casino and took wife there 10 yrs ago. Had the buffet and it was terrible...I got stomach poisoning. Wife swore we'd never go back so I listened for quite a while...and went back there myself this week. Tried it again this week and nope, not much has changed. Poor hot food selection, overcooked, under-reheated. Veal roast that was overcooked and when I asked for something closer to Medium done-ness, was told 'there might be some in the middle' and then the carver cut a piece off the end and walked away from his station. Glum place...no positive atmosphere at all and for the low, low price of $16.99. Even the deserts ranged from bland to yucky....how is it possible to ruin desert??? Waste of time and money...ashamed to admit to my wife I wasted money again on that slop but would have felt worse if I had dragged her along this time, too.

Kathy G.

Yelp
Ya so.... Fecal matter on the light switch, fridge didn't work, maintenance and housekeeping resolved the matters respectively but one of those folks flipped the door security lock to keep the door propped open and left it that way. For hours. But disputed by hotel staff. Gimme a break. And VERY reluctant to provide a discount. Brutal front staff. Never again.

Yelp
This review is strictly on their seafood night buffet. Most people that I know say to head down there and line up before they open at 5pm because sometimes the queue goes all the way to the door. I find it best to come at around 630-700pm when the first couple rounds of people have finished eating. Zero line up, always seated fast. Food seems to still be well stocked during that time. Love the crab salad, mashed potatoes, the LOBSTER CLAWS.. dipped in warm butter... oh pure gluttony I tell ya! The crabs legs are served on ice so be aware that your fingers will start to hurt after a while from the cold. They have this fish in fruit sauce that I dont particularly enjoy the taste. Sometimes when I need a palate cleanse, I go for the steak (hehe) which they have a single station for in the middle of the bar just for those who would like something else. And of course, the chocolate fountain! Here's a trick: put your fruits in a separate plate then grab a soup bowl for the chocolate. Then you can have your own chocolate dipping sauce to enjoy on your table. Hehe. A little pricey but seafood is never cheap.

Yelp
Dinner at Little Chief Restaurant at Grey Eagle Hotel before concert. Nice atmosphere. Waitress Jennifer was great - attentive; explained the specials & suggested that we order food before a big group of 20 people placed an order. Haddock Fish & Chips was presented very nicely but was actually rather bland. Too much batter & not enough fish - kinda like fish nuggets. $18 is expensive for what it was.

Yelp
Let me say what I don't like cause there isn't much. I don't like it is literally in the middle of nowhere. Also I don't like no bathtub in the room. I do like the rooms, clean and a comfy bed. I like the shower. I loved Blaze bar, see my review of that! Casinos are always fun. We bought an adventure package which got tickets to Heritage park and free buffet breakfast! Well worth it. If I am in Calgary again and want to stay on the outskirts it will be here! Also after breakfast I have to add the buffet breakfast is amazing!

Yelp
This review is for the restaurant at Grey Eagle Resort and Casino. Since my birthday conveniently landed on a Wednesday, and Japanese happens to be one of my favorite types of food, it was great to try the pan-Asian all-you-can-eat buffet! Atmosphere: 3/5 The hotel was located a little far; otherwise standard hotel and casino atmosphere. The restaurant portion itself was a good size; overall clean and relaxed feel. We were seated at one of the circular booths. It was not too busy when we arrived so we were able to enjoy the buffet at a leisurely pace. Food: 4/5 Great variety of sushi, rolls, and sashimi which I love, with a sushi chef who is able to take special orders. There were also a few dim sum choices, vermicelli noodles, and a salad bar w good variety which I liked. Of course, there were also some staple Asian dishes like noodles, ginger beef, fried rice, etc. There was a huge dessert table with a chocolate fondue but I got too full to try everything! Service: 3.5/5 The restaurant staff were great and friendly; we were seated quickly and plates removed efficiently. We did have a little trouble with the coat check staff though who were a little suspicious. I also kept getting ID'ed. Price: 4/5 Good price for the amount and type of food. Overall: 4/5 Overall I enjoyed my experience at the buffet here! I would come again for one of their other buffets as they do have a different special every night and during the weekend for brunch.

Yelp
I had no idea that this resort hotel was a casino and an event theatre. All I know was that after being tossed around the left coast for a week, I wanted a nice place to relax and get some rest before my flight home. The place had a good rate for the mid week and I book it on the app. There is a whole bunch of roundabouts on the way there. I'm from a place with the word roundabout means trying to find an excuse for something! I missed the exit on the roundabouts a few times...one time I took it all the way around twice to get off on the right turn off. Thanks Google and Apple Maps!!! Finally got there...first you pass the event theatre, then the casino, then you get to the hotel. The hotel was a bit stark looking on the outside but it was modern and chic overall - minus the old west wagon parked up front. The place is run by the Tsuut'ina First Nation in Calgary. The hotel is about two years old and I like it! New hotels are nice to stay in. The hotel is not heavily laden with First Nation art and decor. In fact, they tastefully used their decor throughout the hotel. The rooms are large and comfortable. The beds are the comfort sleeper kind. The bed frames (as per a previous review) is the wooden box type - AAANNDDD...I hit my leg again moving around the bed - same place too! Argh! The bathroom is nice and the shower pressure was better than the other several places I stayed on the trip. The shower stall needs better cleaning as mildew and soap scum were building up in the corners - eew! They had a small snack selection with the normal over priced product card next to it. It did however have two bottle waters for Free! Mine!!!! The hotel restaurant is called Little Chief. They have the usual happy hours and a selection of food and drinks. I opted to skip Happy Hour and go a little early to have my dinner and relax for the night. My dinner was over cooked but the beer was good - it was called the VELVET FOG - yes...named after Mel Tormay (spelling?). Harry from Night Court would be sooooo happy! If you are hungry, there is a buffet place at the casino - kind of expensive unless you really like to eat! The event theatre is busy with a strong line up. Go and see their website - quite a great set of entertainers are highlighting their stage. The parking lot was packed when I finally hit the hay for the night and it was a ghost town when I woke up. Next time I stay here, I'm going to make sure I have time to enjoy the whole resort and maybe test lady luck.

Yelp
Too many negatives. Went to a show in the Events Centre. When choosing seats online, you can't tell that the floor section isn't staggered/tiered? What's the word I'm looking for here? The floor is flat so you could easily get stuck behind a giant and not be able to see the show. Super! Want a drink? They have a bar ready to go with great, quick bartenders except they only take cash. What is this, 1999? If you think cash is faster than the tap, then you are drunk Susan, not me. Enjoy the $4 service charge at the ABM that you are certain to be scammed by. Seating sections are labelled but if there are many people walking around you might miss the tiny sign that says which section you're near. Many ushers waking about who offered no help at all. Why are they even there? As mentioned, seats on the floor were not tiered like stadium seating. They were banquet chairs strapped together. Actually strapped together. If you are sitting next to a normal to large sized human then you are rubbing thighs/shins/arms through the entire show. Thankfully our aisle-mates has solid bladders but others were not so lucky. We watched half a row leave their seats and evacuate to the aisle just so two weak bladdered jerks could get through (twice). That's how tight the seats were. It was exceptionally awful spacing. Bathrooms were spectacular. Very clean. Went for a stroll through the casino after the show; disgusting. Again, what is this 1999? Who even smokes anymore let alone why is there a place these dingy scabs are allowed to be indoors. Ventilation was poor which likely made it seem worse than it was. Not a smoker, not hanging out in smoke, end of story.

Yelp
Went for the lunch buffet. Good selection of food. On this day they had pork loin carving station. To the right of the pork is a small selection of Chinese. To the left they had chicken, rice, etc. They also have a good selection of salads, and the dessert selection is great too. It's a busy place at lunch and the servers are pretty good as well. The space is big so you'll always have a place to sit. I'll be back on a different weekday to see what else is on the menu.

Yelp
I've never played a real game of bingo before. Maybe at a birthday party when I was 5 but not like this! We thought we'd try something different tonite for something to do. For about $25 we got a starter pack of cards and a coupon for a bingo dabber. We obviously looked like fish out of water here so an employee, Donna explained everything to us!! Gave us a list of directions too. Bingo is harder than it looks. She even checked up on us during the night. She was great! We didn't win but it was a fun and cheap night out. 3 hours for $23. Only cons, grey eagle is on the reserve so you can smoke there. I had to wash all my clothes and my coat when I got home. And one of the workers at the concession was kind of a hag. Every other employee was AWESOME and helpful!!

Yelp
It's a casino and you can smoke in this one so I found it a bit stuffy. Great venue for concerts and no smoking in that space. Buffet is ok can't say that anything was my favourite other then the store bought cream puffs by the chocolate fountain.

Yelp
Great value hotel with fantastic facilities. I would definitely stay here again on another visit to Calgary!

Yelp
We love going to Grey Eagle Seafoot Buffet for the crab legs, but the last time we were there on August 26, 2021 was a big disappointment. the crab shell was soft, were paper thin, almost no meat like before. It almost seems like its been in the freezer for such a long time. Now we are hesitant to go again.

Yelp
Playing poker for three weeks in Alberta. This stop at this poker room is interesting. The casino and resort seem nice. The poker room is not. Playing here for two nights, I witnessed a number heated arguments in around 12 hours of play. The supervisor one night was unable to speak as all his words came out very loud and he was talking loud/yelling most of the time. His settling of the disputes was not good. The dealers and serve staff were nice. But this place gave me a negative vibe on both nights. Won $$ on both occasions but something needs to be looked at here.

Yelp
Visited the Tsuu T'ina rez and ended up having lunch at the Flame restaurant within the Grey Eagle Casino. This place seems to be doing well. It's fairly new, and you can tell by the nicely laid out and decorated casino. I'm not a gambler, but I can appreciate the ambiance of a casino. Flashing lights, bells, whistles, money flying left & right, hope rising and falling, no windows, maze-like layout, etc. Flame restaurant was nice (there's also a buffet, but I didn't feel like a glutton). I had ordered the liver & onions, and for a second I thought it was going to be served rez-style, but instead it was presented very cleanly & artistically....ummm...should I eat this, or take a picture. The liver was good (almost as good as mom makes). With everything the casino offers, it's gratifying to know the money generated by this venture goes toward the Tsuu T'ina people. If I were to lose $$ here, it's nice to know it's going to a fellow Treaty 7 tribe.

Yelp
The Grey Eagle Resort Casino set the stage for the hilarious Chris D'elia and it was an awesome venue! As a venue, the seating was pretty good. You can probably get a good view of the stage from any area. The bar situation was a bit hectic but you could see that the GERC was trying hard to keep up with the 2-drinks demands by having a bunch of bars throughout the event area. However, it was super busy for drinks and for the ATM. They had a cash-only bar, which kinda sucked as well. But I ran into the casino for an ATM and then came back to buy drinks. I would have bought my drinks in the casino but they don't allow the casino drinks in the event's area. I am not really a gambler but I do love Vegas and the GERC has elements that reminded me of Sin City. Like the buffet! On Friday, it was a Prime Rib Buffet for $25 and it was worth every single gluttonous penny! The food was really delicious and I ate everything from a mango cod to loaded mashed potatoes and all the pastas and some mixed-beans salad-- I truly got my monies worth! The dessert section is worth mentioning because they had a large selection of delicious choices: cakes, pies, mousse, cookies, a chocolate fountains with the fixings and a good size selection of diabetic options. I would definitely come back for a show and stay around to eat and try my luck in the casino. For the out of towners, there is a hotel attached which looked pretty nice from the outside. :)

Yelp
Thursday Seafood Buffet Night. It's one the their busiest night food was well done very good selections lobster claws, snow crab legs, freshly shacked oysters, shrimps, you name it. The price tag is $32.99 per/person once you pay the timer starts you have 1 1/2 hour from the time you pay to finish your dinner. Better eat fast!!!! did not like that but it's more than enough time unless you plan to sit around and chat. There is alway a long line up. No reservations unless you have 6 or more. It was a good experience over all. I have photo that will go up.

Yelp
My husband will often stop here for lunch with his buddies from work. I too am skeptical of buffets & food at Casinos (really awful experience in Vegas at one of the hotels sticks in my mind that I wish I could forget...), however, he likes it. He is trained as a professional cook in French cooking. (He has good taste). He has stopped in for the lunch buffet several times. The biggest challenge for me to try it is...I don't like cigarette smoke and it is out of the way for me. I don't know if the restaurant is exempt from the smoking but the reviews have me shuddering.

Yelp
Third time here having the "Asian Wednesdays" Buffet. It was less busy than the last 2 times, no line up. But busier after 6:30. The first time was years ago, it was bad, so I didn't go again until last year when I craved for all-u-can-eat ( I live close to there, so I just went there). The second time was not too bad, actually much better than the 1st time. Today was okay until I saw an INSECT on top of my SOUP (see pic)!!!! I think I got it from the big pot of soup!!!! OMG!!!! I told the waiter there's a bug in my soup, he just said he would take it away for me, that's it..... Anyway, the sushi, sashimi and oysters were okay; but if no long line up, go to the guy who make sushi instead of the prepared ones, the sushi and sashimi were fresher there. The hot asian food was not very good and the dessert was just okay. And remember only one drink is included, if u pick coke, u can keep asking for free refill, but u cannot switch to tea or coffee after 1 coke (or you pay for that).

Yelp
I went to their Pan Asian buffet for dinner and it was disappointing, the only thing going for them was the Sashimi. The hot entrees was really not worth eating, shrimp was way over cooked and the crab claws were dry. The Vietnamese Pho was not hot and bland, the desserts were mostly squares and cookies and pies of course they also have a chocolate fountain with fresh fruit. All in all it was not great. We went with 8 people and we ate a lot of sashimi and for some it was not worth it at all. Choices are slim and just to much BBQ meat stuff that are dried out and flavor lacking. If you just want to go somewhere and gorge go to Greg Eagle. If you want good tasty quality food go somewhere else.

Yelp
Never seen a supervisor treat their stuff so poorly. Yelling at staff for issues that were clearly not that important. Prime rib was good in buffet but anything seafood related tasted freezer burnt and over cooked. Spit every bite of seafood out.

Yelp
Went here for the first time a few weeks ago to see the Bush concert. I didn't go into the Casino, just stayed in the event space the whole time. Its nice that there's a separate entrance to the event area. They don't force you to walk through the smoky casino. Security presence was nice to see and they seemed to just be there for the presence, not for any issues that night. The concert area looks like your typical hotel banquet room, but with some racks in the ceiling for lighting and sound, and some bleachers against the back wall that can be pulled out when needed. The let down for me at the concert was the "bar". It's not the correct design for this type of venue. They had tables set up in behind where they had pre-poured beer and the bartenders had to scramble around quote a distance to get everything for your order. So it ends up with slow service and warm beer.

Yelp
Playing in the poker room is painful. Dealers are constantly getting things wrong. Service is non existent and management ca t be bothered.

Yelp
My boyfriend and I went to Grey Eagle Casino Buffet twice with his mom when we were in Calgary. The buffet is at the Grey Eagle Casino, which located right beside the Lincoln Park. You must have a car to go there. By accident, We always went there on Pan - Asian food Wednesday night.:( The environment is very clean and big. The waitresses were friendly and nice. For me, there were no many selections for Asian food and taste of the food was OK. Not fancy and different from other Asian restaurants. There was a wide selection of dessert. To be honest, I would like to go back to this casino buffet to try on Seafood night Thursday or BBQ Buffet on Mondays and Tuesdays.
