Griffen Spahotel

Service with a smile! I highly recommend this hotel. The woman at the front desk in the evenings always looked happy to see us and was very kind to answer any questions we asked during our stay. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. They are more spacious than other hotels we stayed in around Denmark. Breakfast had a nice variety of vegetables, pastries, pancakes, protein, etc. The meat and eggs appeared to be on a separate table from the dairy (kosher conscious). Free bikes on a first come, first serve basis. My travel companion isn't in good physical shape and was a little hesitant at first because the bikes are not electric and do not have pedal assist. But we used them one evening for about 90 minutes and had a lovely ride along the path directly in front of the hotel and beyond. We did not use the spa services nor did we eat dinner at the restaurant during our stay. (Note, to eat at the restaurant you must reserve a table.) No air conditioning, which is typical for this part of the world. Like most quality places they provided a fan which worked well to cool things off in the evening.

Your swift assistance in finding a wheelchair and your generous upgrade to a suite provided not only comfort, but also peace of mind at a time when we needed it most. It is rare to encounter such genuine compassion and service, and it left a lasting impression on both of us. Since then, I’ve praised Hotel Griffen in glowing terms wherever I go – and I do so gladly, because you truly deserve all the recognition you can get. Thank you for making a hard day easier. Really nice hotel in the middle of Rønne… located at the coast with a view over the sea… While the rooms are nice and the complentary breakfast is very nice, then the SPA area together with the nice staff is what really makes the place stand out….

I was there with my husband for a weekend. The hotel is nice. The Spa is not huge but it has everything that you would like, same for the gym. There are drinks and fruit for the Spa guest. Very quiet and relaxing. The rooms was nice, only issue is no ventilation that se could see. We had a room with sea view. Very nice landscape to wake up with but during the night it gets a bit too warm. We tried to open the window but then you hear all cars in the road. Breakfast buffet was really good and well presented. Staff really nice and helpful. They have bikes that you can borrow, really a good plus. We used them in the evening to go and have dinner somewhere. Overall it was really nice experience.

Location, Spa and breakfast were great, and the staff are nice. Menu prices of the restaurant should be reviewed. Rooms could be better for a 4-star hotel. The carpets look old and had a weird/bad smell because of the humidity I suppose. I’d suggest to remove carpets and just have a wooden floor especially for a hotel facing the sea where humidity is high.

This was a very nice, good practice. And please do visit because it was a great hotel. A very large hotel with good parking space. And very fancy spa department. We really enjoyed a nice and clean breakfast. With all the high quality products, there and stayed 2 hours to breakfast. Next time we return to Bornholm we will accommodate in this hotel again surely.
