From a time gone by - an example of old Kobe, the international port city. There used to be many of these "western" style restruants serving beef stew, pork chops, hamburger steak in gravy, roast chicken in the so-called western style. Look for "veal blanket" or veal in white sauce -very tasty. A bit pricey a la carte, so try one set menus. People rave about the beef stew. Quality food, polite service and quiet surroundings. This shop has a long proud history. Notice that they built the outside building around this one. embedding it to preserve it. Definitely nostalgic Kobe.
