Grill Le Sauvage had the promise of being a fantastic dinner find. Welcoming and attentive staff, warm rustic decor and cozy atmosphere. Lengthy list of local wines - what's not to like? Unfortunately, I found the food to fall flat - it was underwelming for expectations set based on aforementioned attributes. We had escargot and jambon taurine as appetizers. Though tasted fine, the escargot were shelled and served in a tin cup rather than in the shell on an escargot plate. The ham was good. For the main courses, I received a bowl if tender chunks of beef (chuck or stew meat). Though tender, the very thick sauce in which the beef was stewed was bland - I think too much flour was used for thickening and not enough wine reduction. I wouldn't recommend the dish. She received a cut of beouf. It was a piece of flavorless, chewy, skirt steak. Both entrées were disappointing. We didn't order dessert.
