Grilled Cheese Bar

LOVE IT- everything about it was amazing. We started with a $3 Bloody Mary special- my wife and I love them- but can really only share one because we get bored of the taste 😂 but we both finished them! I got the cheese burger grilled cheese with mac and cheese 10/10!! Definitely not “too hot” my wife got the spaghetti grilled cheese 10/10. We wanted to try their maple rub fries- again DID NOT DISAPPOINT. First time experience and will forever come back. Thank you so much Elizabeth and cooks!

We were in town for an event and were riding our bicycles on the river trail. We saw this place was near enough that we could ride over and check it out. We are so happy we did! The food was excellent, our server personable and attentive and the location easy to access and allow us to keep our bikes nearby to keep an eye on them. The sandwiches were big enough my partner & I shared one which left a little room to try the cheesecake!! He tried the margarita flight while I had a mimosa.

Very disappointed with most of the food here. The children had the chicken nuggets and they were terrible! They were so bad, in fact, that even the adults who tried them couldn't eat them. We expressed our disappointment to the server who stated that is the way they come from the company they order from. I'm sorry? TWO little kids went without because they were inedible. We had to get them food elsewhere. Thankfully they were able to eat the french fries to tide them over. On a good note. The Monte sandwich was quite tasty! The cheese curds were delicious as were the mozzarella sticks. The marinara sauce? Eh. It was not the best. We also tried the cheese dough balls. I liked the bread itself but the sauce wasn't my favorite. Over all, our server was a cute gal (she didn't introduce herself)-who was running herself ragged- was as helpful as she could be. I'm positive she was told by management that she couldn't comp the disgusting chicken nuggets and that they give the same song and dance to everyone. My recommendation? Don't take littles and don't expect perfection.

Definitely not bad. Disappointed in the lackluster service, friendly, but not excited to serve you. We ordered 4 different grilled cheese, regular, Buffalo, chicken avocado and steak. They were all definitely worth the try, not wow, but good. For sides, got the Mac n cheese, and 3 fries, one with butter parm, one with maple and one regular. The maple tasted like nothing more than lightly salted fries. Asked the waitress if they were seasoned with maple and without checking she immediately said yes. Had everyone at the table try them and no one tasted maple. Either the worst maple flavoring, or they had none on them and the waitress lied. Good place to try, but definitely won't go out of my way to go back. Side note, not sure if it's deliberate, or I took it weirdly (good possibility), but their discounts sign purposely left out police as a first responder.... if I was being attacked or harassed or anything I needed them for, I would think they are my first responder for helping me....

Food was burnt for the kids so they couldn't even eat. Food was cold when it was fried and sandwiches were mediocre at best. The menus are deceptive and the appetizers were the best thing we had. Potato salad was sweet and a mustard salad is not supposed to be sweet. No offer for refills or sauce for our fries

Delightful, hidden away spot in The Village of East Davenport serving $3 Bloody Marys as well as a drink special from 11 to 4 every day. Vegetarian option on the menu of Spinach Artichoke grilled cheese with butter parmesan fries kept my husband happy so I could enjoy the Buffalo Chicken grilled cheese with potato salad. Potato salad is sweet and light. Buffalo sauce gives a great kick. Delicious and affordable and a little bit unexpected.

We walked in to friendly greetings, sat down, and had quick service. The wait staff was great. Very friendly and informed of the menu when we had questions. The food was delicious! The fries were done perfectly and the sandwiches were just as well done. Definitely a place we will be back to.

Visiting the area and found this very cute place. Tried the the hot honey special....sooo good!! Service was excellent as well. Just a bit cold inside

The grilled cheese was super greasy but not terrible. They have a lot of options! The service was excellent. They have good drinks and drink deals. The vibes were a little weird -- quiet, seemed like a mismatch vibe inside like they aren't committed to one aesthetic.

First time coming here and the grilled cheese sandwich and soup was delicious. I had the BBQ Pork Sandwich (liked how it was toasted with the jalapeño) with soup of the day paired with an Octoberfest beer. My wife had the Gf Turkey Bacon Sandwich (she liked the fresh sliced avocado inside) with soup of the day paired with a pumpkin ale. We will be back. They were short staffed, but our waitress was very kind.

I really wanted to try the berry salad with chicken - however they were out of lettuce. I'm not sure how that happens?! Our waitress was the only wait staff they had during the lunch rush - she did well under the circumstances I won't be back.

I LOVE THIS PLACE! Never in my life would I have believed I'd give 5 stars for a grilled cheese place, yet here we are! Service was perfect, prompt and friendly. All 3 grandkids loved it, coloring books, pac-man, games, food. My 8 yo grandson is something of a Mac and cheese aficionado and said "This is the best Mac and Cheese, EVER!" The girls loved their grilled cheese. Perfect meal and awesome experience. Thank you!

Cute atmosphere and friendly staff. Massive grilled cheese that are enough for two meals. There is plenty of variety, if you want something exotic or classy. I myself am a basic yellow cheese grilled cheese woman. That is what I ordered, and it was delicious. I also really enjoyed the potato salad. I haven't been back here enough, but I'm looking forward to expanding my grilled cheese tastebuds.

This was our second time here. The first time was good. The food was good and the service was okay. There was only a little staff, but it wasn't busy either. The inside appearance needs a little help with the floor and the painted tabletops feel sticky. On this next visit, we ordered our meal at the same time as our drinks--a lemonade, a bottle of beer, and a sandwich each. After waiting a while, we asked the server to get our drinks. We had to wait a few more minutes while she was chatting with someone at the bar before she brought them. About half an hour later, they brought out my companion's plate. The sandwich was falling apart the way it was stacked and was no longer hot. About ten minutes later, we asked about my meal and the server told us we'd have to wait because they were busy. She also had a face with attitude! After a couple more minutes, I called a different server to ask for the manager. The manager came within a minute or so with my plate. She was embarrassingly loud and did nothing to try to make the situation better. Her apology included making excuses about them making the wrong sandwich. (I guess it only took 10 minutes to make the right sandwich), but they shouldn't have delivered the other plate as it's rude to eat before everyone is served. I saw on the receipt that I had a $1 upcharge for flavoring the lemonade along with .70 upcharge for a little bit of ketchup for my fries. I was not told in advance. We had to ask for a box and we had to ask for the ticket. The server was pleasant at that point; and offered a to-go cup for the lemonade, but she never brought it. We will not go back there again.

Very good loved waiter she is a cancer so of course we vibed. Food was 10/10 the bar was cute they had st Patrick's day sales and decor. Very cute for brunch

We arrived around 1:45pm and the lunch crowd had cleared out, but we still enjoyed the BBQ Pork and Artichoke Sandwiches. Our daughter inhaled her fries. Presentation was good. Service was good. I would go back and could see this as a hangout for people looking to play board games.

These grilled cheeses are huge! This place puts a nice spin on a classic, simple favorite and elevates it to a more gourmet level. First off, the location is in the village of Davenport with lots of parking available. The decor & ambiance of the restaurant of course follows a grilled cheese theme with yellow colors everywhere which really brightens up the space. I came with a group of 7 and we ordered a variety of grilled cheeses so we could sample as much as we could! My favorite of them all was hands down the spinach artichoke grilled cheese! The artichoke component in the sandwich was some type of a creamy artichoke spread that gave off quite a rich flavor and despite it being very heavy, it was definitely satisfying. For my side, I chose the tomato soup since it's a classic, but unfortunately, their tomato soup was kind of a letdown. It was too liquid-y/thin for my liking and the color was a deep red; it could've used a splash of heavy cream to thicken it up a bit! Regarding flavor, it was alright as it just reminded me of a canned tomato soup. I also tried my friend's mac n cheese which was decent, but it was pretty dry and could've used more sauce/cheese as it was kinda bland. Other grilled cheeses that I tried that were amazing were the chicken bacon ranch, caprese (w/o the tomatoes b/c they were out), and the buffalo chicken! All were tasty and lived up to their name and flavor profile. Again, these grilled cheeses were so huge that nobody was able to finish the entire thing! My total came out to about $16 including tax & tip, which I don't think is that bad especially considering that it's a small, local business. Some of my friends ordered the margarita flights, which turned out to be $20. We all thought that was extremely overpriced and not worth it as some others have also mentioned in their reviews below so I would avoid getting that unless you really want a nice photo! Lastly, in terms of service, our server and the rest of the staff were very polite and accommodating especially with a party of 7! Overall, I probably would come back here if I'm ever in the area and craving a grilled cheese!

Amazing ! This place is so good I loved my caprese grilled cheese but needs basil! Was so good with vinegarette and I loved the Mac n cheese. Will be back!

Cold soup. Never got a spoon to eat the soup. $20 mimosa flights!!! Do not recommend!

The only thing that was enjoyable was the pretzels and our server was sweet that is why I rated it 1 star. The drinks and other food absolutely horrid, sorry! They tried to charge us for a disgusting sandwich that had to be sent back because it tasted like the chicken was sitting in a plastic bag for ever. A drink had to be sent back because it tasted spoiled . The worst part is that the manager and owner thought we were sending it back "just cause" , with that they still charged $5.00 for a small cup of soggy butter filled fries. Please save your money and go somewhere else!

This grilled cheese bar is a hole in the wall spot. I loved my husband and my experience here. We walked over off of the Channel Cat, and were welcomed with water balloons, chalk to draw, and bubbles to blow. Then after we were done playing we went inside and we're warmly welcomed by the two lovely waitresses. The drinks came quickly, and with so many options it was hard to choose just one. But we got the Monster Grilled Cheese and an order of fries and cheese and split it. My husband ordered the margarita flight special and he was not disappointed. I carried him home. lol They also have games inside you can play, which I haven't seen before. When we were done eating we made new friends with two people there who we played Giant Connect Four with. The food is delicious, the people are awesome, the business concept and customer retention is there, and in great work. My husband and I will be back for more, soon! Thank you again!

What a gem for grilled cheese sandos! Nice location where you can walk around the cute neighborhood and a few breweries to check out. The sandwiches are big just so know. The crust was perfection and my spinach and artichoke delish! Melted goodness with a sweet cream cheese oozing out. My hubby had the Mac n cheese and thought it was also just as good but a lot! Did not give five stars because the tomato soup just wasn't amazing...had a v8 juice flavor for my taste. Otherwise great option for eating out. Our server Fadima deserves kudos too as she was cute and pleasant and serving the whole place. She recommended the Stiegal Grapefruit which was fruity and tart and refreshing to drink. Looking for it moving forward.

A great find! Cozy spot in the village to have a bite. Friendly owner and staff to make you feel welcome, along with more grilled cheese variants than you'd expect. My caprese with balsamic tasted extra fresh and they use Eldridge bakery bread (high praise for them as well) for the sourdough. I paired it with a cup of their tomato soup. Glad that I finally wandered in.

Absolutely disappointed! Overpriced!!!!!!!!! Spent over $70 just for my wife and I. Basic grilled cheese if you want to call it that. $20 for one mimosa flight Is ridiculous, four little drinks that taste like fruit juice. Would not recommend!

Both staff that night were very sweet! We came in 45min til close and they gave us no grief! The food was great too

Definitely don't recommend. The customer service was unfriendly and the food was over priced. The watery tomato soup had literal heaps of basil in it so that's all you taste, and the grilled cheese was mediocre at best. I think the intent was to make this a high-end grilled cheese place, but the effort just wasn't there. It reminded me of the infamous fyre festival.

Wish I could put zero. Been here a couple of time and Service is always ridiculously slow. After 20 mins of waiting, we were informed that they didn't have 4 of their grilled cheeses. I'm vegetarian so I'm already limited, the 4 sandwiches they were out of included the 2 veggie options. Had to eat a regular plain grilled cheese. Last time I'll dine there.

The service was excellent. They offered to bring my carry out order out to my car, because my dog was in the car. Then, even though I did not think the wait was too long, they threw in chips and apologized for the wait. I did have the grillled cheese bacon Mac and cheese and wished the bacon was proportional to the sandwich size. They could have alleviated this just by serving a smaller sandwich, as the portions were big.

It's impossible not to love this place! The sandwiches are delicious and huge, and the space is so cute. There's pretty much something for everyone on your menu, and everybody working was friendly. They even let us use the semi-private space for our group...def save room for dessert!

first time visiting tonight! good drinks, friendly staff, and delicious food! will be back :)
