Located in the busy square in front of the Nobel Prize Museum in Gamla Stan, travel writer Rick Steves bills this cafeteria-like restaurant as the best and cheapest in the area. While there is a short menu from which to order hot foods, there is a glass case of already made foods like open face lox and egg salad sandwich ($9.50) which is what I chose. Additionally, I picked up a cardamom bun ($3.50) and self-serve coffee/tea ($3.50) with free refills. From the outside, Grillska looks small with not too many people outside, but the inside is fairly large with the ability to seat many people in its three rooms and a line of people waiting to order food. When you get to the counter, pick up a tray, your utensils, napkin, and self serve water. When it's your turn, you can order a specialty coffee drink or other beverage and order already prepared food from the display case. When you get to the cashier, you can order from the hot menu. Find an open table inside or sit outside. Not only is the food attractive, but satisfying. When you are done eating, bus your table by placing your tray and dishes in the rack located across from the WC.
