Its a nice old reataurant at a great lication with few tables outside. It is self service. There are a couple of options to choose. I loved both the Swedish meatballs and the Salmon with patato salad. The ice tea is very mild and would recommend as well. The cardamon bun is just absolutely delicious.

This is a nice little bakery that has some nice saffron cakes and cardamon rolls. The small nutty tart was also quite delightful. All three snacks we had were nice and balanced in flavor, and nothing tasted overly sweet. They have coffee, which is self-serve upon ordering it, which is nice. Overall, this is a good spot to grab some local pastries.

Nice bakery right at the old town centre. Many desserts and pastries to try. The hot chocolate is pretty good. Staff are friendly. There are decent and comfy seating space in the cafe.

We loved the strawberry little cake called Lennarts bakelse. They were kind to our dog 😃 and the old building was beautiful. It’s an old traditional bakery cafe. I’d like to take my mom here! Not modern trendy. They share a toilet with the restaurant-same name. They could do better with the restroom.

We found this place walking around Gamla Stan and the food turned out to be delicious! I even went back twice during my short trip to Stockholm. I highly recommend the meatballs, the sandwich and the princess cake! The ordering system was a bit confusing but the service was incredibly helpful and kind!

The service was incredibly fast: our food arrived in well under 5 minutes. The prices are accordingly and the food was good!

I had to take away and eat out since there seemed no vacant seat, however, the service was on point. I’d recommend you try Semla, a traditional swear served only during winter season.

Very rude female staff at the bakery who made my daughter and I feel very uncomfortable today. Such a shame as the cakes were delicious and the coffee ok. Wouldn’t recommend this place at all unless you have a thick skin and don’t mind being made to feel stupid!

Yelp
I went for the salad, a cardamom bun and coffee. That cardamom bun I would 10/10 buy again! This place has the cutest atmosphere, old different plates, cups and glasses, nice seating both inside and on the terrace upstairs!

Yelp
Located in the busy square in front of the Nobel Prize Museum in Gamla Stan, travel writer Rick Steves bills this cafeteria-like restaurant as the best and cheapest in the area. While there is a short menu from which to order hot foods, there is a glass case of already made foods like open face lox and egg salad sandwich ($9.50) which is what I chose. Additionally, I picked up a cardamom bun ($3.50) and self-serve coffee/tea ($3.50) with free refills. From the outside, Grillska looks small with not too many people outside, but the inside is fairly large with the ability to seat many people in its three rooms and a line of people waiting to order food. When you get to the counter, pick up a tray, your utensils, napkin, and self serve water. When it's your turn, you can order a specialty coffee drink or other beverage and order already prepared food from the display case. When you get to the cashier, you can order from the hot menu. Find an open table inside or sit outside. Not only is the food attractive, but satisfying. When you are done eating, bus your table by placing your tray and dishes in the rack located across from the WC.

Yelp
#1 for lunch in the Gamla Stan. Confirmed too many times. For 87 kr you may choose from soup, main course and special salad. The salad buffe, drink and bread in included in the price. The salad buffe is one of the richest I ever seen in this town, great selection! Not just boring tomatoes, cabbage and cucumbers. The menu for the week one may check on the Stadmission web page, as it belongs to the Stockholm Stadmission network and help people in need in Stockholm. This way the lunch is even more tastier, when you know that it serves a special purpose at the same time. Take aways are served are served very nicely and you may have a luxury lunch even from the box. Very positive and friendly personnel. My biggest recommendation lately!

Yelp
One of my favorite places that I found during my visit to Stockholm. The lunches are delicious and very reasonable. I had one of their baguette sandwiches and it was marvelous. The ingredients were simple but blended very well. I also had the Mamma which was highly recommended and it did not disappoint. It was light and sweet. I personally am not a fan of heavy cakes. My visit was on a warm day so I was not able to get a table outside, however the inside seating is very charming as well with giant wood beams and simple tables.

Yelp
A lunch restaurant right in the center of Gamla Stan (The Old Town) with mixed quality on the food components. I loved the basket of bread, the the salad buffet was okay (both are included in the lunch) and the presentation of the food is excellent - despite the ingredients not being cooked to order it felt very classy. I had pork loin with fries potato slices and cocktail tomatoes. The cocktail tomatoes were still on the twig, peeled and oven baked with a pinch of sea salt on too - a very luxurious detail I never expected at a lunch restaurant! The potato slices, however, were almost raw - some so hard they were inedible. This in fact makes the fourth star quite weak. The meat was okay and the sauce was just a little too little. Still, for this price (90 SEK for a lunch) the spacious seatings and good food is hard to beat in Gamla Stan. They also have a range of high quality cakes and "fika" bread - apparently they have Stockholm's best semla 2015. According to who, I don't know. I had a Dutch chocolate cake with whipped cream. The cream did NOT come from a can, which I appreciated. The woman behind the counter put an effort into sprinkling some cocoa powder and put a little leaf of some sort on top of the cream so I'd say this place puts a little extra I to presentation, which is nice.

Yelp
Tasty fika spot! Some deck seating overlooking the square, and plenty of inside tables. Had some pancakes and it hit the spot. Times visited: 1

Yelp
Wonderful baked goods. I dropped in for a coffee and pastry. The selection was all enticing so I had two pastries! The Semla was as good as the other reviews say!

Yelp
Probably one of the best places to get a really good lunch for a reasonable price in Stockholm. Almost every lunch is really really good. You can choose between to eat at the café / restaurant or to use the take-away (go straight in and take the first door to the right for take-away). If it's warm outside try to bring the food out and place yourself anywhere in the old town, or down beside water at "Skeppsbron". I have been eating från this restaurant almost every day for a few months and the few times when it have been bad they ve give me free food the day after. The café are well visited with much to choose from. Sometimes in the sound are a little bit high.

Yelp
Unreal Bakery! We had the most amazing Cardamom Twist here! Sorry no photos, we ate it. Seriously could buy a lifetime box of their goods every week. Too bad we don''t live nearby. Wow, what a treat! Tasty choices and fantastic presentation.

Yelp
Lunch was not that good, the beef stew old-town-style was barely warm, too salty and fatty, not spicy...just terrible... cutlery was dirty... stressful atmosphere. Unfortunately a disappointing place.

Yelp
Simple deli style restaurant serving salads, quiches, soups and desserts. The cafe is a good value as the portions are hearty and there are refills on coffee, tea and water. Plenty of seating with some outdoor seating available. Pleasant staff. Salads and quiches are great. Check the daily/weekly special offering. A wide selection of treats as well. Very convenient to the Royal Palace. The cafe funds homeless charities.

Yelp
Good but somewhat limited selection. Perhaps one of the less expensive options is Gamla Stan. Cafeteria style eatery with indoor and outdoor seating located across from Nobel Museum.
