Grimm's Hotel am Potsdamer Platz

I would stay there again - That says it all. The food in the restaurant was an unexpected pleasure in its quality. Great cocktails after a long day sightseeing. The room was light and airy, clean and comfortable. The staff were helpful, friendly and pleasant. A great location just south of Potsdamer Platz so away from the bustle but close enough to walk in or catch the U Bahn but we walked to the centre and Museum Island.

The restaurant had great service and most of the front desk people were very nice. The man working when we arrived wasn't the most warm or welcoming nor did he have very many suggestions of where to go while visiting. We were upgraded upon arrival and the room was great! The breakfast wasn't that impressive, i wish there was more fresh fruit. Although, the eggs were good! And the restaurant was great for dinner! Location wasn't bad and the train was a reasonable walk away. Some homeless around the area in the bushes and such, but that may be true of much of Berlin.

A nice boutique type hotel with will sized room, good furnishing, very comfortable beds, quiet, very good breakfast and very helpful and friendly staff. Public transport is in walking distance, so is the Potsdamer Platz, offering a huge selection of shops and restaurants to visit and direct access to all main landmarks in the city. If a hotel for adults has to chose themes from children's fairy tales is maybe debatable but walking on a carpet and sleeping in a room themed with Cinderella and Snow-white and the dwarfs (or soemtbjng like this) brings back some children memories ;-) And for the caterer: The breakfast rolls are not on the same standard as the rest of the Buffett, Just saying 😁

The best is their room. Spacious clean, good and brights as the window is also big. But please be aware that they charge parking for 15 euro/night, while next to the hotel you may find P+R Parking area for free. The train station is 11 minutes walking.

Great location - just 8min walk to the closest metro station Beautiful design in themes of Grimm’s tales Good breakfast (21€ per person) Nice little gym with a view Sauna only open in winter time (from October) so we have missed the chance to enjoy it. It seems really nice.

Room was fine with good price at last minute booking. Service also ok, until I took a bag of tea at the evening and it made a hotel employee not happy about it, as it is allowed for the breakfast only. The problem is there is no tea or coffee in the room. Also the attitude to stress about a bag of tea is not reasonable from point of view. There is no iron for the cloth so better bring your own with you.

A nice hotel with very modern rooms. What we did miss was properly functioning air conditioning in the room. There's a sort of summer and winter mode, but that doesn't provide air conditioning (cooling), so the room gets warm at night. Opening the window wasn't really an option due to the busy road next to the hotel.

Wonderful experience! Everything was great from the staff, to the rooms to the food and the location. Would recommend and stay again.

Overall, The Grimm was ok; however, the hotel DOES NOT have air conditioning. The website stated the hotel has air conditioning but it does not. We contacted the front desk and someone came to "check the system", but it did nothing. Over the 5 nights we stayed at The Grimm, I adjusted the thermostat to both very high and very low and this made no difference in the room temperature. If you try to open the windows, it is VERY LOUD outside at all hours if the night making it impossible to sleep. The front desk claimed the "air conditioning system" for the hotel is not actually a "true air conditioning" but is rather dependent on outside temperatures. No vents or fans are used in this system. If you want air conditioning and a quiet hotel, book elsewhere. We asked for an isolation fan to move some air with in our room, but the front desk told us they did not have any

Love this place! The theme of the hotel is super cute, my husband couldn't stop taking pictures of everything! The breakfast is outstanding, you really get a lot for your money. It included different kind of Brotchen, croissants, chocolate croissants, almond croissants, oatmeal, different cereals, milk, yoghurt, fresh cut fruit, whole fruit, eggs, sausage, bacon, pie, big cheese platter, Camembert cheese platter, cream cheese, different cold cuts and sausages, mozzarella and tomato platter, vegetable platter with cucumber, tomato, peppers, different juices like cherry, orange, multi vitamin, different jellies, honey, Nutella, gruetze with vanilla sauce, coffee, cappuccino, mocha, hot chocolate, teas. We LOVED the authentic German breakfast! Everyone was really nice and helpful. The rooms were very good architectural structured and organized! Very clean! The rain shower was my favorite! We hit the gym in the morning at the upper floor and had a great view of the city. Definitely would come again and bring my husbands parents!
