Grimm's Hotel am Potsdamer Platz

The restaurant had great service and most of the front desk people were very nice. The man working when we arrived wasn't the most warm or welcoming nor did he have very many suggestions of where to go while visiting. We were upgraded upon arrival and the room was great! The breakfast wasn't that impressive, i wish there was more fresh fruit. Although, the eggs were good! And the restaurant was great for dinner! Location wasn't bad and the train was a reasonable walk away. Some homeless around the area in the bushes and such, but that may be true of much of Berlin.

The best is their room. Spacious clean, good and brights as the window is also big. But please be aware that they charge parking for 15 euro/night, while next to the hotel you may find P+R Parking area for free. The train station is 11 minutes walking.

A nice hotel with very modern rooms. What we did miss was properly functioning air conditioning in the room. There's a sort of summer and winter mode, but that doesn't provide air conditioning (cooling), so the room gets warm at night. Opening the window wasn't really an option due to the busy road next to the hotel.

Such a great experience here. Great staff, facilities, and rooms. Comfortable rooms, the windows have great views, allow lots of temperature control and noise insulation. The surroundings are lovely and the value is excellent.

A fantastic hotel with clean rooms, a lovely restaurant, very friendly staff, and a prime location in the heart of Berlin. Ideal for tourists and as an official hotel for your conference or event where you can accommodate your guests—that's exactly what I experienced. Highly recommended.

They have bed bugs so be very careful also for that price very not worth it, you can find a lot better, I woke up and saw bed bugs on their bed (it looked dirty and i believe that means they don't change it to new customers) after I started seeing the bites on my arms and when I checked turns out it's bed bites or fleas and I saw many when I checked the bed, otherwise I was changing in the morning at 10am (check out is 11) and I had headphones and the door was locked and suddenly someone enters and then apologizes. Maybe they thought I left but overall, because of the hygiene and bed bugs I truly give this place 0 stars and don't recommend them to anyone, however nice restaurant, space and staff but I believe that hygiene is the most important and they definitely don’t care about hygiene (Also no AC) it was very hot so again definitely not worth the price

Good location, almost every attraction within a 4 km circle, service was fine, breakfast was very good, the room and bed were comfy. The only negative point is that there is no water or refrigerator in the rooms.

Grimm's Hotel am Potsdamer Platz, Berlin, is a great place to stay. My wife and I love it's fabulous location. It's close to everything and the hotel rooms are lovely. The manager Alex and all the staff were very friendly and professional. The interior restaurant has a relaxing ambience, the menu is great and affordable. The outdoor beer garden area is right on the edge of Gleisdreieck Park, a fabulous spot to while away the hours with a beer, wine or cocktail, watching Berlin go by. We stayed their on two seperate occasions in April 2025 and we wouldn't hesitate to recommend this hotel to friends and business colleagues. Thank you for making us feel so welcome.

Overall, The Grimm was ok; however, the hotel DOES NOT have air conditioning. The website stated the hotel has air conditioning but it does not. We contacted the front desk and someone came to "check the system", but it did nothing. Over the 5 nights we stayed at The Grimm, I adjusted the thermostat to both very high and very low and this made no difference in the room temperature. If you try to open the windows, it is VERY LOUD outside at all hours if the night making it impossible to sleep. The front desk claimed the "air conditioning system" for the hotel is not actually a "true air conditioning" but is rather dependent on outside temperatures. No vents or fans are used in this system. If you want air conditioning and a quiet hotel, book elsewhere. We asked for an isolation fan to move some air with in our room, but the front desk told us they did not have any

Love this place! The theme of the hotel is super cute, my husband couldn't stop taking pictures of everything! The breakfast is outstanding, you really get a lot for your money. It included different kind of Brotchen, croissants, chocolate croissants, almond croissants, oatmeal, different cereals, milk, yoghurt, fresh cut fruit, whole fruit, eggs, sausage, bacon, pie, big cheese platter, Camembert cheese platter, cream cheese, different cold cuts and sausages, mozzarella and tomato platter, vegetable platter with cucumber, tomato, peppers, different juices like cherry, orange, multi vitamin, different jellies, honey, Nutella, gruetze with vanilla sauce, coffee, cappuccino, mocha, hot chocolate, teas. We LOVED the authentic German breakfast! Everyone was really nice and helpful. The rooms were very good architectural structured and organized! Very clean! The rain shower was my favorite! We hit the gym in the morning at the upper floor and had a great view of the city. Definitely would come again and bring my husbands parents!
