We had a very nice experience here. Didn't sleep here but attended a campaign. Good food.

We booked a room from Verthus&Kro today and I am happy for that. The location is excellent, the welcoming by the host was super warm, our room is very clean and the atmosphere here is cosy and warm. ||We were driving from Stavenger to Oslo, but the strand road was very boaring, that is why we just stop driving at Grimstad. And I am very glad for that! This cute little town is so lovely and definatelly worth for staying. ||This hotel located just beside E39 road. And here is free parking, too. It was very easy to come here. I highly recommend this lovely hotel. Breakfast included.

We stayed for one night, but the room was spacious and clean and most importantly...quiet. The location lends itself to being a little isolated which was brilliant. The service was good and the breakfast in the morning was nice and well stocked. The friendly staff were welcoming and accommodated us as we had a three month old with us and provided a cot, definitely worth a stay.

Great location, almost in the heart of the lovely city Grimstad. A cheap accommodation compared to nearby hotel/motel. ||||It has a great staff and a helpful hotel manager who wants his guests to be happy. At my last visit we were a little unlucky with our room location, but the room itself was OK. Not much decoration/colors and with an old TV, but the room was light and had great beds and sofa. Water boiler, microwave and instant coffee was included in our room. ||||PS: When you wanted to take a shower (in the part of the hotel we where staying), you had to enter a tiny room where there also was a washing machine and a drying machine (used by the cleaning staff). The toilet was in another room close by, but it was clean and OK. ||||Grimstad Kro has quite new apartments of higher standard. We rented one of them last year and I would really recommend them for families and friends. They are bigger, with two bedrooms, living room and a nice bathroom. ||||Have to mention the food. It has a good breakfast included. At our last visit there also was a dinner buffet every night (not included), now it`s only on Sundays. But they still have dinner every night (2 or 3 dishes to choose from). ||||If you want a peaceful, friendly, great located and cheap accommodation, this is the place to stay. And the town it is located in is great. Narrow streets with white houses, wooden boats in the marina, great fish soup and strawberries.||||I love Grimstad, and I will be back to stay at Grimstad Vertshus og Kro.

I stayed here for a couple of nights during Hovefestivalen. It is a nice guesthouse with easy access to the highway (don't let that put you off, Norwegian highways are quite small). Rooms are clean, breakfast is nice, staff is friendly and they offer free WiFi. It is a 10 minute walk to the harbor and you pass by lovely shops and cafés. ||||We had a room with separate beds but they were so tiny! Really narrow.

The hotel is close to the city center, in a convenient location.||The room was clean, cosy. Cleaning service was excellent.||Very good wireless internet connection.||Breakfast was good. Since one person was handling it, they could not change emptied food trays as often as it should, but other then that it was ok. Nice internal design in the restaurant. Lunch was tasty.||Very friendly personnel.||I definitely recommend this place.
