We stayed at this campground for one night. We arrived pretty late and so we had to pay in the morning.
As campground go, this one was packed! We doing a decent spot after driving around the site for a few min.
Decent bathrooms and common area.
I found that there was toilet paper with a rock on it in a couple sites which made us move on to a different space.
Is a decent place as a last or first day campground.

It's a great campsite, we stayed one night before our flight back home. Has a big kitchen 2 cookers and plenty space to seat. The main kitchen is really warm inside, wear shoes inside the main kitchen it's not allowed but it's not a problem because the floor is warm too. Toilets and showers clean, highly recommended. It was 2200 kr pp no electricity. Good price good value.

The campsite itself was somewhat crowded, but impressively well-organized. Be prepared to camp in very close proximity to other people, which might mean limited privacy. However, the facilities were top-notch, including impeccably clean toilets, showers, and a spacious dining room equipped with a well-maintained kitchen. It's worth noting that you're required to remove your shoes when entering the dining room.

This campsite was a favorite. We spent 3 nights there while exploring the sights in the area. It has a nice kitchen area for cooking meals, with pots & pans to borrow, and all sorts of food items left behind by ither campers in case you need spices, etc. The bathrooms and showers were clean and showers are included. They offer a senior rate for those 67+. They have a clean eating area with outlets to charge phones, laptop, etc. It was busy, so arrive early for best parking locations. We had a campervan and didn't need electricity.

We had a very good time at the campsite. The common place and kitchen is very well equipped. Many travellers leave lots of food and gas cans as it is the last stop before leaving Iceland for many of us. Showers and toilets are clean. There is always (or almost always) some friendly staff taking care of everything and keeping things clean.
Would definitely recommend it and even more as the first stop. You can get lots of free food.

This was a very nice campsite. The price was 2200isk per person per night. Therefore you get a nice hot shower with no time limitation and clean facilities. Furthermore the service was very nice. We slept there and on the next day we made our hike up to the volcano. Since we have sweat a lot and our flights went off that evening we did ask if we could again use the showers because we slept there the last night and the staff were so nice and allowed that.

Best camping site we’ve been in terms of facilities. Real kitchen, in a spacious hot living room. Very modern. Shower and toilets included and very clean and modern. Would recommend +++. Area for kids too.

Large kitchen and dining room, clean facilities. The camping area is rather small so it gets really crowded and noisy. There is also traffic noise from the road, and the sounds of forklifts working in the harbour area across the road may wake you up at 7am. So, you won't get a good night sleep at this camp, but it does provide a clean shower and toilets , and a convenient kitchen for a reasonable price.
