Gringo Tacos y Cantina

One of my favourite restaurants to visit when im in the city. The tacos are amazing full of flavour and great presentation, I recommend the baja shrimp and fish tacos just 👌👌. The home made chips are always nice too. The staff are always nice and friendly also.

Absolutely amazing!! We were looking for something different to eat, but not European food. We gave this place a go and it was amazing. Choice of inside A/C seating, or outdoor undercover seating. Great choice of alcohol, we found spiced rum which is hard to come by in Vietnam😍 We ordered a jackfruit burrito (pictured) and a pulled pork burrito. Everything tasted so fresh and was very good value for money. Quick and polite service and lovely atmosphere. Will definitely be back during our trip. Thank you!

It’s the kind of spot where you can relax, laugh, and truly enjoy good food without pretense. Nice Mexican restaurant with a decent variety of Mexican common usual dishes from taco to burrito (big big burrito by the way) to quesadilla. Cozy atmosphere with cute Mexican decor. Pricing is not crazy but still on the pricey side. Good service and the staff is very accommodating.

So I finally ate at their restaurant, instead of ordering delivery like usual! Seriously, it's the best tacos ever. They import the corn tortillas because Vietnamese corn isn't right for making masa. Amazing tacos start with the right tortillas! Dong, the owner, is from Orange County, and as fellow Californian, we take our Mexican food seriously!!! If you want some really good Mexican food, hit up Gringo!

Friendly staff, fantastic food and very accomodating to the needs of a coeliac. Happy hour from 5-7:30 with half price Jameson and Margaritas. Highly recommend the pulled pork. Server spoke fluent English.

Wonderful staff. Super chill environment. Small cantina with lots of atmosphere. Hugely recommended. And half price happy hours which are even more highly recommended 😂. The higher price was only because of jugs of margarita 😅

We keep going back to Gringo out of many taco places in HCMC. We truly enjoy their soft, corn-based taco shells which remind me of the ones typically found in the US. Our go-to order: carne asada / baja fish tacos, refried beans, and tostadas or quesadilla depending on the occasion.
