The 10 mile hike up to the glacier was one the best ones I've done in United States - Definitely worth the visit! Steady climb along the way provides you with magnificent views over the mountains, lakes and wildlife. The ascend is gradual with practically no steep sections and smooth surface, therefore being beginner friendly trail. Did this hike on scorching summer heat, so the opportunity to walk through a waterfall along the way and take a dip in the frozen glacier lake were extremely welcomed as a Finn - Especially the latter, almost felt like being home.

Was definitely worth the .8 mile trek. It was definitely the most difficult trail out of the 17 miles worth of trails we walked. Can be very intense and sketch pathway. Not for people who are afraid of heights that's for sure. Whatever you rate the best view of the Highline trail then add a 1/2 grade better than that just for Grinnell Glacier. It was the best view of the day.

What an awesome view! Not everyday you can say you've overlooked an active glacier! Not a hike for beginners! While this hike is only ~1.6mi round-trip from the Highline, it's about 1000 feet of elevation gain in 0.8 miles. So make sure to bring plenty of water, stop for a break if needed, and be careful of the ledge!

This hike is roughly 11 miles out and back which leads up to Upper Grinnell Lake and starts flat, goes to a moderate incline for most of the hike, with the last quarter mile increasing to a steep incline (with steps). There's lots of wildlife, both small and large, so make sure to keep your distance of the larger wildlife (like goats and bears and sheep). The lake/glacier at the top is well worth the effort as the lake looks beautiful in the bright sunshine. It also gives a very nice overlook down the mountains, with views of the lakes previously walked by as well as other mountains in the distance. I would recommend arriving early in the summer as it can get quite hot in the afternoon, and regardless bring food and water.

You are rewarded with a spectacular view after a strenuous climb. Pro tip: don't just stay at the first overlook like most people do, climb just a little further and you will be able to see four lakes.

Amazing view of Grinnell Glaciar. We really loved the 15 miles hike from Logan pass. I would highly recommend to start before sunrise otherwise getting parking is very difficult. Carry enough water when you start hike, I would recommend at least 2 gallon of water per person. Also carry some food especially that won’t attract animals towards you. Last 1/2 miles will be vertical hike that time I would say walk slow but don’t stop.

This is a quick but steep hike to tack on to a Highline Trail hike or a stop at Granite Park Chalet. From the Chalet it took exactly one hour to hike up. Some sections of Trail are washed out but easily crossed. Views from the top are astounding. The wind can be big and my wife does not love heights so she was on all fours at the very top. This hike is deep inside Glacier Park so you need to do all the fees and permits.

This was definitely a tough hike but the views were worth it. You take the Highline Trail and take the trip up the Garden Wall Trail. Make sure to bring lots of water and some snacks. The hike up is definitely strenuous so be prepared. Got to the Logan Pass parking lot around 630am and it was filling up decently quick. This is a great spot for photos and to have lunch at. Bring warm clothes cause it definitely gets cold at the overlook.
