YES YOU WILL GET WET!! You can wear a poncho and I recommend changing into your flip flops for this ride. It's really fun when you fill up a raft with your friends and family. So unexpected who will get soaked but it's exciting.

Bridger Hamm

Google
The Grizzly River Run puts other river rides to shame. This is probably one of the most creative rides in a disney theme park. Instead of running a flat track you’re sent cascading down the side of a mountain over sluices and geysers. Being in this ride feels like being on a river in the Sierra Nevadas.

The Curious Critique - TOP 5% GOOGLE REVIEWER

Google
Great water ride for the whole family. YOU WILL GET WET..... It has a great drop and some pretty good turn and dips throughout giving you ample chances to get wet. A must do when it's a HOT summer California day. There are lockers outside you can rent to store your dry goods and clothes if needed.

Steve Kehler

Google
This ride was fun. You will get a little wet. Not soaked, but splashed. On a hot day that would be refreshing. On a cool day or in the morning, I'd recommend wearing a poncho. The wait wad 5 minutes, which made the ride even more enjoyable!

Graham Tranter

Google
California's 'get wet' ride. Thematically very nice looking and well done.

Aimar Yousif Raheema

Google
Fun to ride but you will defiantly get wet so, go to CVS and buy one of rain covers before riding!! World of Disney May have rain coats (probably)

You will be getting wet for sure. Beautiful experience ✨

Google
No doubt about it, you're going to get wet on Grizzly River Run. The first time I went on this ride, I came out looking like I had jumped in a pool. I walked around for a couple of hours, trying to dry off, but i ended up just buying dry clothes. What an (expensive) relief that was! Now, I've learned my lesson. This is the last ride of the day. I only go on this ride when we are ready to leave. If it's not crowded, we might even go a few times in a row -- the kids love it!

Yelp
Okay, if you do not mind being soaked through. This ride is GREAT. Now if you do not want to be walking with soggy wet butt, then you may want to avoid this ride like the plague OR if you're like us, bring a super large poncho or garbage bag and cover yourself head to toe and you'll enjoy this ride for sure. L O C A T I O N Grizzly River Run is basically to the right past Soarin' and Disneyland's Grand Californian Hotel. It's pretty much in an area that's dead. L I N E S So lines for this ride can be from walk on to loooooong because it's super hot. It makes sense because it's an easy way to cool down. But we went when it wasn't super hot but sunny, we went during late lunch time so that no one was there and we easily walked onto the ride. If there isn't any one in line, I'm sure the cast members will let you stay on. But if there is a line of any size, they will ask you to disembark and get back in line. E X P E R I E N CE They do have lockers you can lock up items so that they won't get wet because EVERYTHING I mean EVERYTHING will get wet. It's across from the ride entrance. It's a circular raft with a few stair entrances. If you sit near those stairs, you will get drenched. If you want your socks and shoes to stay relatively dry, put them on top of the center area otherwise, placing them on the floor or lifted a little beneath you, they will get soggy. You get to ride the rapids though. Lots of spinning areas, water splashes, dips, it's super fun. So if you do get dizzy when spinning, you may also avoid this ride. O V E R A L L Not a ride I'll always go on, but when we do, it's a rip roaring soaking good ol' time.

Yelp
Like WET fun??? Like to spend money on new Disney gear? 4 of our group decided to make this their first ride on our Day 2. The line was empty at 8 pm the night before but it would make for a cold ride home. Hubs and I waited at a vantage point to catch a video of them in their twirling water craft at the mercy of the dips, turns and drenching water covering their bodies. Drowned rats? Pretty much what they looked like. Good marketing tactic to have a clothes store right there. Three new t shirts purchased: Smokey the Bear, a blue light long sleeve and a character tee. Sweetie was smart enough to put a complete set of dry clothes in her red backpack that Doc had gotten her. I definitely wanted to ride that in the heat of the day. Today is our Day 3. Will I be granted a complimentary soaking? Stay tuned.

Yelp
If you are hot and feeling like big splash water to your face and whole body, then this is the great attraction for you! You'll be literally wet from head to toe!! Some people bring ponchos from outside since inside one ponchos for $13!!! Quite expensive so I recommend you get it before you come to the park here. Waiting time was the longest one for us but we enjoyed it a lot after all! Come and enjoy the refreshment!

Yelp
We had a BLAST!! Good thing we had some Disney ponchos ..we were soaked ..no one else on the ride with us...the attendants (they are called cast members) were so helpful and Fisney friendly! 10 min wait on most lines...going on a Tuesday was a great idea! We didn't drown!

Yelp
Prepare to get wet!!!!!! You might get lucky and won't hit all the major dips. But the raft spins as you float down the river! So you have no control over the raft. It's just goes and spins around like crazy! You might think you are going down a dip backwards and then it twists and drenches the person next to you. It's so much fun! But except to get wet to some degree. This isn't a ride that you can get lucky on and get off completely dry. The options are wet, more wet, or drenched! lol I got off this ride being "more wet" and my bottom was soaked. The back of my sweatshirt was wet too. Just keep in mind that you will have to walk around the park with whatever level of wetness you experience.
google avatar

Yelp
Hands down the rode you want to ride on a hot and humid day like this one. Wait time is fairly short which is surprising, but most is covered out of the sun. You never know who's going to get wet. It's a favorite for our family!

Yelp
Grizzly River Run is one of the original California Adventure rides. The ride has enough excitement that it has not had a face-lift to tie it in with a movie. The ride takes brave guests on a whitewater rafting trip. Rafts are on a track. The rafts slowly spin so everyone is experiencing forward, backwards and sideways, at some point. The ride was tame enough for my elementary school-aged child. Rafts disembark filled. One of the highlights of the ride is seeing people's reactions when they get wet. You will get wet. Some will get more wet than others. When the ride originally debuted, there was a center area with a velcro flap to help keep personal belongings dry. This was fairly impractical, as one backpack essentially filled the compartment. If you are worried about you or your belongings getting wet, I recommend a poncho. On our last ride, two of the four of us got soaked. The other two were slightly wet.

Yelp
Get ready for a soaking experience! Grizzly River Run is an extremely wet ride, ideal for beating the heat in summer. Riders must be at least 42 inches tall to join in. The drops are surprisingly substantial, and you'll likely end up quite wet - consider bringing a change of clothes or opting for sandals. Ponchos are available for purchase at the store near the ride entrance. Board a circular 8-person raft, drift along a lazy river past remnants of an old mining company, then ascend Grizzly Peak for an exhilarating descent down Grizzly River. Navigate through currents, spin through a cavern, plummet down a rocky slope, and return to base camp, all while encountering gushing geysers along the way. Note: Grizzly River Run will be closed for refurbishment from January 8 through February 29, 2024

Yelp
Perfect for the summer heat!! It's been a brutal humid summer in SoCal (very rare) so we've been jumping on this ride to stay cool! I love this rapids ride! It's not too scary for the kids and has some nice drops. Know that you WILL GET WET! It's just how wet! During summer, they turn up the water levels vs winter time so there is more splash! The lines can get long but it's so worth the wait! Lots of shade in the queue helps out too! As you approach the ride, there is a cool turntable floor, watch your step getting into the raft! The raft has 8 seats and does spin as you go down the falls. Lockers are also available free of charge for up to 2 hours near the entrance. Love walking around towards the back near the waterfalls! Make sure to check those out! There's an entrance on the left of the queue line. There is a small shop to the right of the queue line where you can purchase ponchos if needed. Located inside Disney California Adventure Park. Definitely recommended!

Yelp
On a hot day Grizzly River Run is a definite must do at Disney's California Adventure, especially if you're staying at the Grand Californian hotel (GCH). The honey loved using our Lightning Lane (LL) to go through one after another at the end of our day, then easily walking over to our hotel to change. I tend to never buy ponchos for these types of rides as my backpack is waterproof, as are my athleisure clothes, so I just make sure my shoes rest on the lip on the floor so my running socks don't get soaked. I do love that Disney doesn't employ guest controlled sprays like Great Adventure used to, so while you might get a spray to the face, it's light and the ride moves so quickly it barely registers. Even with the rapids it's not a particularly scary ride and the drop is about the same as Pirates of the Caribbean (POTC) or even shorter. All in all, Grizzly River Run is one of our favorite rides at Disney's California Adventure!
google avatar

Yelp
The Grizzly River Run is a great option when you want a ride where you can get a little wet. Lots of people opt for rain poncho's, if they don't want to get wet.

Yelp
On our first family trip to Disney California Adventure back in 2018 this ride was one of the fun ones. I purchased disposable ponchos in case the weather took a turn for the worst. Good thing I did because they ended up being so useful! For this ride and when it started storming toward the night. As we watched others go around the ride while we looped around in the queue, we noticed a couple of areas of sprays and splashes. Being that we were there late Feb/early March, it was freezing for us islanders! Last thing we needed was to be wet and cold... at least the ponchos covered a good amount of clothing. Just a warning/tip. We were probably the only ones with ponchos but I'll just say it's because we're prepared LOL. I'm sure the rest of California was thinking "look at those weirdos". Ever since I've always purchased and packed them for all vacations. This time around (2023) we waited in line, with our turkey legs to munch on, prepared for a long queue. Thanks to the Disneyland app you're able to see wait times. I'd say about 45 minutes of waiting in line the ride had issues and was shut down. The reason for the 1 star deducted even though we loved the ride the first time around... pretty much lack of customer service. Regardless of the time anyone waited in line (they have a good sense of amount of time spent waiting depending on position) they didn't bother trying to rectify the situation. Yes we get it that rides break down and have unexpected maintenance issues. But the fact that we pay the admission and spend a good amount of time/money around the entire park then waste a whole hour or so without the "payoff". We all queue up for the main reason of getting to a food, get on a ride, get into the show, etc... we've had a similar situation while in Tokyo Disney and they made sure to give everyone at a certain position in line = time spent waiting, a free fast pass for another ride they choose. Of course in Japan customer service would be at the highest peak, when the ticket price is about half the cost of US Disneyland *eyeroll*. I know it's a mini senseless rant but it's just one of those things that bugged me a bit. At the end of the day it is what it is and people will still pay the prices, still wait in the long lines and hopefully enjoy the magic Disney can offer. But that's just a warning and possibility for your visit. Enjoy as many rides as you can, but don't get your hopes up on being able to ride everything you intend to, even if you're next up!

Yelp
# 40 Review for 2024 ***Grizzly River Run at Disney California Adventure is one wet and wild ride*** Overall 5 Stars***** Wild water adventure! Grizzly River Run at Disney California Adventure was an absolute blast! The thrills started from the moment we step into the queue, with its detailed theming that immerses you in the rugged wilderness. Once aboard the raft, get ready for a wet and wild journey through swirling rapids and unexpected drops. The unpredictability of the spins and splashes keeps the excitement levels high throughout the ride. The breathtaking views of the park from the top are an added bonus. It's a fantastic way to cool off on a hot day and enjoy some exhilarating fun with family and friends. Just remember - you will get wet! A must-do for thrill-seekers and water ride enthusiasts." PS As experiences may vary, it's always a good idea to check recent the most up-to-date information! And bring a towel.

Yelp
It's a hot day and your husband is determined to get on a water ride, so you get in line. What you totally forget until too late is that they have single rider at Grizzly River Run. The line is pleasant enough and on a hot day it could be well over an hour in line. The rafts seat 8 so it makes sense that they utilize single riders to fill the spaces. You get in the raft, buckle up, and let the raft float you along the river rapids. It's a fun ride until someone's socks get wet or their whole body. Yep, it's that kind of ride. It's definitely unpredictable as to who gets soaked and who doesn't. They have lockers where you can lock up your valuables nearby if you're concerned. Bring a change of socks or shoes. Enjoy!

Yelp
This ride is in Grizzly Peak in California Adventure park. Expect to get soaked through (head to toe) on this fun filled water river ride. The ride is a 8 person circular raft that spins. You strap in and there is a circular bar in the middle that you can hold onto if you like. It is mainly for reassurance than necessity. The ride starts out pretty tame. The raft is on a track that climbs up an incline. Then it releases down a steep descent into a wild wet river ride. Expect to get soaked and have a bunch of fun!! Along the way, there are dips and geyser spouts of water shooting up from the river. The building queue is modeled after a lumber mill from the 1920s. This ride has a detailed fictional back story. Grizzly Peak is the name of the top of the mountain that the ride is on. Look carefully, the peak is shaped as a head of a grizzly bear. According to folklore of the region, there once was a giant gentle bear that lived on the mountain and was transformed into stone to protect over the mountain forever. When I was visiting, the ride was down for one full day and intermittently another day. Finally on the third day, we were able to ride it. It is recommended to load up the Disney app so you look up info such as ride availability. You can buy rain ponchos at the Grizzly Peak general store. Also this ride has lockers you can use to store your items so they don't get soaked. The lockers have a 2 hour limit and are located to the left of the entrance, look for the big oversized smiling bear statue outfitted in water rafting gear.

Yelp
If you happen to be at California Adventure on a hot day, this ride will be a complete joy to go on as you most likely will get wet! The lines do get long, and with good reason, it's a fun ride for the family. They have a little drop at the end of the ride, which I also thought was pretty cool for a ride like this. The other rides I've been on at other theme parks don't have a drop like this. Don't want to get wet? Bring a poncho!
google avatar

Yelp
I surprisingly have never been on this ride before. I generally avoid water rides because I don't like the feeling of soggy clothes on me afterwards or the fear of being cold, but during a hot, Californian afternoon, the latter was of no concern. After some convincing from a friend, we decided to go on this ride (with a return time mind you, I am not waiting over an hour for this!). There are lockers to the side of the ride, but when we went they were out of order so we had to carry all of our stuff with us. FYI, YOU WILL GET SOAKED. Take your phones out of your pockets and put it in a bag and hold that bag in front of you while you're on the ride. My BIGGEST gripe with this ride is that for some reason when you board and get off of your rafts, IT STINKS. Smells hideously of BO, wet dog, and all of the like. The smell dissipates when you start your journey or leave the ride so I'm wondering if it's just the collected smell of slower stagnant water there, not sure, but pretty gross nonetheless. There are 2 drops for this ride, a smaller one and a larger one. I think the most enjoyable aspect is that you KEEP spinning, even when you are dropping. It's quite fun to get tossed and spun around on the rapids, especially when you're seated with strangers who are there to have fun and everyone is getting soaked and screaming. There's some Californian woods scenery to look at, but with the speedy pacing of the ride, I don't recall much of it. I would say I enjoy Splash Mountain better for that one (the view inside the caverns particularly). Overall a decent water ride.
google avatar

Jennifer O.

Yelp
Step into a river raft with a few strangers and get sopping wet as you get tossed through the "rapids". Sit near the ride's cut-outs for boarding and you'll get really soaked! On a hot day, this ride cools you off plus you'll make fast friends with strangers as you whoop and shriek with each big splash. It's all part of the fun- enjoy!
google avatar

Stacy K.

Yelp
I said I wasn't going to do it! I was not going to go on this ride. I told the kids they could go on it and enjoy without me, but that failed, and cut to ten minutes later, I was on the ride. The one thing I did not want was for there to be spots with huge downpours, which there were not any waterfalls to hit. That was the main reason for my hesitance, I am always the one who gets stuck under the waterfall, which is what you typically expect for a rapid ride. This was one a bit calmer that ones I have ridden in the past. I like the bear theming on this ride. Very cute, plus you can buy the stuffed bears at the gift shop or at the Grand Californian hotel gift shop. We took a ton of pictures outside the ride with the giant bears. The weather was not overly warm, but there were still plenty of people in long sleeves and long pants going on this ride. So I was optimistic about my chances of not getting wet. Then I saw all of the people wearing the plastic ponchos and knew I might get soaked by the end. The rafts are a nice size for big parties or several families. Not all of us went on the ride, so we shared with a couple other families that seem to have been on this adventure before. The ride went at a good pace, a lot of splashes. At one point the entire bottom of the raft filled up with ankle deep water. I thought I was going to get out of having a couple soakers by putting my feet above on the wheel, but nope, the shoes got very wet. So I did end up getting plenty wet but not as bad as it could have been. Do I regret going on this ride? Nope. This is my first time at this park, so I here to experience as much as possible even if I need to take some time to dry out.
google avatar

Ryan L.

Yelp
You get so so wet on this ride but if you are okay with that, it is actually very fun and legitimately feels like you are rafting. I get motion sick on this ride but sometimes it is worth the sickness tbh
google avatar

McKenzie S.

Yelp
I am not a big fan of water rides. Mostly because I end up being miserable while sloshing around in my squishy shoes and jeans. But Grizzly River Run is almost worth the price. Depending on where you sit (relative to weight and spin) you'll get more drenched. I haven't quite figured out if there's something to the ride that makes it more bumpy, but every time we ride it's a different level of "wetness" - so who knows! As others have said, there's a section in the middle that can hold valuables but I'd highly suggest putting your phone in your own plastic or waterproof bag. Do NOT leave it in your pocket or you'll be sorry! Bottom line - if you're worried about getting wet, opt out of this one because the chances are incredibly high.
google avatar

Ryan H.

Yelp
One of my favorite rides at Disney California Adventure. Finally got my own raft to myself, and may i say, it was AWESOME. This ride is fun if you're by yourself or with a group. The raft sits six riders. There is a single rider line for this ride, i highly recommend using the Single Rider Line, it will bring your wait down on busy days. Make sure you take the chance to ride Grizzly River Run at night, it is the best.
google avatar

Nathan C.

Yelp
This grizzly river run is amazing, when we need to keep our bodies wet from the hot sun. Also, it's good idea to ride on the water rapids, just like Knott's berry farm and six flags magic mountain. Of course, this water ride was been there for 20 years since the grand opening of Disney California adventure from 2001 as the beginning of the 21st century.
google avatar

Karlo G.

Yelp
This fun ride is guaranteed to leave you soaked. Each circular craft holds 8 passengers. There's a round center handle which doubles as storage area for valuables. Plastic bags were provided however didn't exactly keep our valuables dry. I highly recommend getting the poncho. They're reusable which is perfect if you are planning on going on this ride multiple times. We had max passes for this ride. The wait was only 10 minutes and the river scene gave us a nice view of geysers soaking the riders. The course does not have large drops. It does have switchbacks, huge waves, and tons of spinning. The geysers in the end are unpredictable. We just happen to be floating right by when it exploded. This is also another ride I would not hesitate doing again.
google avatar

Sebastian C.

Yelp
If you're not willing to get wet, don't even bother. If you're going to wear one of those raincoats, honestly, don't even bother. Getting wet is the fun part. If you manage to stay dry throughout all the drops, don't worry, you'll get wet at the end.. SPOILER ALERT. Anyways, this ride is usually a 5 minute wait later in the evening time. I would not wait more than half an hour for this ride, honestly. Go later in the PM and ride it multiple times without waiting at all.
google avatar

Connie C.

Yelp
Ok. I want to hate this ride but it's growing on me. A ride where you get wet...actually in some cases SOAKED does not seem like a grand ol' time but the ride is actually pretty fun. Everyone is usually screaming from the fast-paced rapids or going downhill (sometimes backwards depending on where you're sitting in the circle) which makes it exhilarating. I guess everyone is trying not to get wet! Silly... They used to have geysers that would erupt. They didn't go off at all the last time I was there which was so disappointing. It was hilarious watching tubes of people approach and eventually go over a geyser and get SOAKED. There are drying stations across from the ride now. For $5.00 you can fit up to approximately 5 people in a booth and blow dry off. Lockers are available to the left and are free for first 2 hours so your stuff doesn't get wet.
google avatar

Melissa N.

Yelp
You will get wet and you may even get soaked...this ride is the best way to cool off in the summer time! With all the twists and turns you don't know whose going to get it worst! This ride is super exhilarating and fun! You can't help but laugh even if your soaked and your socks are all soggy! You could purchase a poncho but what's the fun in that right? Have fun and good luck!
google avatar

Tamara P.

Yelp
It's always fun to take this spinning raft ride around the scenic Grizzly Peak in Disney's California Adventure Park. Our family always jumps in line for this ride to cool down on those hot summer days or pending the weather, we end our day with it since it can be hit or miss if you'll get completely soaked or not. The ride takes you under a few leaky, dripping pipes and sprayers before you descend upon the peak, bumping and spinning along the way. The last drop is always a lot of fun as you go spinning down not knowing which section of the raft will get hit the hardest. So much fun! We always return!
google avatar

Michelle T.

Yelp
I LOVE this ride! Oh my gosh, this ride is so much FUN! I like this more than Splash Mountain because the drops are less intense. You also get pretty wet on this ride. It's so much fun to try and peg who will get soaked the most. Usually, that's me! I really hate when people get on this ride and get all prissy and start hemming and hawing over getting wet. You are getting on this ride and know darn well that you are going to get wet. Oh yeah, stop cheating by wearing those ponchos when you get on the ride because the whole point of this ride is that you WANT to get wet. It's not a matter of IF you will get wet but rather, how wet you will get. There is a single rider option so take advantage of it on hot days.
google avatar

Jo W.

Yelp
This is the grown-up version of Splash Mountain from Disneyland, though the waterfalls in Grizzly River Run are not nearly as large as the one at Splash Mountain. No music, no cutesy animals singing and jabbering, nothing. Just rustic mountainous scenery, the roar of the waters, and screams from people turning and tumbling down waterfalls and getting soaked.
google avatar

Michael J.

Yelp
Staff was very friendly and welcoming at this attraction. Very impressive! The ride was quite fun. You will get wet, but it's just really good fun! The ride replicates white water rafting, though a lot more spinning, maybe too much so.
google avatar

Tommy V.

Yelp
This is one of those rides you just have to do for the sheer enjoyment of other people's faces when they get drenched by a massive wave over the top of the raft. It is really hit and miss. I have ridden this dozens of times. I cam only think of a few times where I have been completely soaked, but you will get a little bit wet every time no matter what. This is fantastic on warm days to cool off for a bit. As I said in the beginning though, watching people's reactions is priceless. A must ride every time we go. The only bad thing I would say is that it seems to be closed a lot in the cooler months and I wish it was opened year round.
google avatar

Travis W.

Yelp
I love a good water ride at any time of the year. Grizzly River Run reminds me of Big Foot Rapids at Knotts which is now changing into something else. This ride will get you wet and you may walk away pretty soaked if you are unlucky on the rapids. This ride is almost a game of roulette. As the raft spins around you never know where that water is going to end up which make it intense as you make your way down the rapids. Also, this ride is kid friendly as well. I brought my son who is almost 5 and he was able to ride this ride. I believe the height requirement for this is 42" and he had a good time. Although he looked a little nervous when it came to the drops, but we made it through. This ride is perfect for a hot summer day. Just lift those shoes off the ground if you don't want your socks and shoes soggy for the next hour or two. That's where I got it the worst when I took a ride on the rapids. CHEERS!!!
google avatar

Dennis W.

Yelp
Wet. Wet like Pavlov's dogs mouth when the bell starts to ring, wet. Wet like getting caught in a thunderstorm with a piece of toilet paper as an umbrella, wet. Wet like participating in the ice bucket challenge, wet. If you want to get wet, and have a great time doing it, look no further! But be warned... You might get a little wet. Just a little wet, down to your undies. I don't particularly care pulling wet undies out of my ass crack. Ride this at the end of the day or you'll be miserable. Way better than Knott's.
google avatar

Austin D.

Yelp
It's great if you don't mind getting wet and not afraid of drops but I did not totally enjoy it cause I was scared the whole time
google avatar

Reba Jane S.

Yelp
Hah! First time on this ride. Went at night and the only other people there was a young couple. So we shared the ride with these veterans and they told us they had picked the best seats for not getting wet. Well, I hope they don't buy lottery tickets! They both got soaked and we didn't, well, not nearly as much. Super fun ride, spinning, rushing, dipping, whooshing, climbing up and up and up....
google avatar

Yelp
My all time ride at Disneyland (California Adventure) I've gone on it at least 1,500 since last August. Most times I'm in California Adventure, I go on it at least 4 times or more. The drops going down backwards are better in my opinion. Recommend this ride! If you are brave enough.

Yelp
Grizzly River Run is like Splash Mountain across the way at Disneyland...all I want to do is stand around and watch people try and not get soaked by random water. Seriously...its AMAZING. Near the end of the ride after the big drop there is that one random geyser that if it goes off at just the right time it absolutely soaks most of the guests on the ride. Half the time they seriously go nuts when they get wet, which is why it's so damn funny. They just went on a WATER ride named Grizzly River Run and they cant stand getting wet. I can seriously stand there for a hour and be entertained by each and every raft that goes by. Here's a huge tip...to the left of the ride entrance (behind the Disney Vacation Club kiosk) there is a bank of lockers...believe it or not they are free! Most people don't realize this. If I remember right you get two hours on them, so put all your stuff in there if you are going on Grizzly...that way your iPhone works later in the day so you can still check in on Yelp. :0)

Yelp
Sppppiiinnnninngg, wet! This ride is a ton of fun to go on especially if the whole tire is filled up with you and your friends and family. It's even better on a hot day! Because you are guaranteed to get wet, even if it's a little. But if you get it the most you can stay wet all day and if it's cold you will regret it. Wait times always vary, but they do have fast passes at this ride. I love that this ride has a couple drops so it makes you really scream awaiting the anticipation of who's going to get soaked! It's normally my mom, but this last time was me! And I was soaked all day from stomach down. Not sure if weight makes a difference or if it does to do everyone, but ours would not stop spinning. I felt like I was on the tea cups! That was the only downfall since I felt dizzy at end. Ride is super fun though!

Yelp
Want to soak your friends? Or complete strangers? There are two ways. One is through this ride, and the other is through the water geysers that you have to pay for. I'm all about the ride. The trick is for you and your buddies to grab the center bar and use your combined strength to navigate the river. That way you can TURN the raft when you see trouble coming to soak the other people. We've come out mostly dry, and laughing like idiots. But, don't worry. I've been on this ride where my friends have soaked me with the geysers so I can take what I dish out. I'm prepared for my water karma. Bring it on!

Yelp
This was a fine ride. Like almost any tube water rides, you're going to get wet. More wet than I had hoped. While I enjoyed the ride overall, I didn't expect to get so dizzy. The wheel spins like a man possessed and especially more if the weight distribution is off. Ours was a bit off, so we got wet while also getting dizzy. So much fun! There was practically not wait, but then again it's in the middle of winter. I liked it overall, just wish the tube didn't spin in circles as much as it did.

Yelp
I can't believe all the other main attractions have been reviewed so many times and this one has yet to be mentioned. The Grizzly River Run is to DCA what Splash Mountain is to DL. Basically, if you're looking to cool off on a hot day at the park, this is the place to go. I LOVE the River Run. I have fond memories of attending a training at the Grand Californian hotel, racing over to this ride on my lunch break w/ my friend, and then foolishly getting my business clothes all wet. Way to be professional. But it was totally worth it. I love that the entire ride is a game of chance. You can sway your raft all you want, but you have no way of knowing who are the (un)lucky ones to get wet. Don't think for a second that everyone on the boat will get their turn. The last time I went, I was the ONLY one on my raft to get drenched. I felt kinda bad the little girl next to me was so dry when all she wanted was to get hit w/ water. This ride is definitely one of the better attractions over in DCA. Just remember to stash all your goods in the plastic compartments (phones, wallets, etc) and bring an extra pair of underwear. Nothing worse than walking around the park with everyone staring at your wet behind.

Yelp
This ride is a staple of every visit we make to DCA. We are AP holders and never tire or get bored of this exciting trip down the grizzly river. There is seating for 8 in each raft, and boarding and securing yourself and kids is easy and intuitive. There is a warning sign posted several places as you wait, and it sums up the rides outcome well; "You may get soaked. You will get wet." On a hot day we will go on this ride several times. If you don't experience it at least once you are really doing yourself a disservice.

Yelp
A complete blast and a laugh riot for your whole group the whole time! Every spin, every drop, every turn your just waiting to see who's going to get hit the worst with water. Personally I really didn't get that wet nor did anybody in our raft. That being said some people I saw were soaked. My daughter seems to think sitting by either of the openings is where you are most likely to get soaked! So my final suggestions are ride this great ride on a warm/ hot day, lift your feet if you don't want your shoes wet when the waters coming over and you can even get a poncho to wear if you really don't want to get wet. Enjoy the ride

Yelp
This ride is good old fashioned Disneyland fun. It is a standard raft type ride, meaning you sit in a group of 7-8 in a circular raft. The ride then takes you through various water rapids and drops. In terms of intensity, there are a lot of circular rotations, bumps, and small drops. Overall, however, I believe most people would find it tolerable. If you are wondering if you will get wet or not, it's about a half and half chance. As the ride vehicle rotates randomly throughout the water, it is impossible to tell which seats will or will not get the majority of the water. Overall, we had a great time on this ride. It has a good length and plenty of great scenery along the way. Fastpasses generally don't run out too early for this ride, so it's a great one for your second or third pass.

Yelp
A total blast on a hot summer day - though I must say, Splash Mountain still remains the standard-bearer when it comes to water-themed attractions at the two SoCal Disney parks: ____________ + Having never been on this ride before, I was skeptical about just how soaked we were going to get. Like others have said, the amount of water that you'll be splashed with can really vary; I got rather drenched from the beginning of the ride all the way up until its end. What it really boils down is just the luck of the draw! The pace of the ride is very mellow, relaxed, and laidback; you can have a nice conversation with minimal effort. This, of course, is thanks in part to the lack of a background soundtrack (a la Splash Mountain). Grizzly River Run doesn't have the fun drops or sudden shifts in speed that you'll find when riding its Disneyland predecessor, but this tamer sort of ride design can work out better for timid youngsters and/or those just starting out their day. A fun ride option, but I would most definitely recommend waiting in line for this one only if the wait time is 40 minutes or less. As with most Fastpass-enabled Disney attractions, seek out a Fastpass if you see the wait time beginning to approach or exceed an hour's time.

Yelp
There are raft rides like this at amusement parks all over the country, and this one is the best I have ever been on. The excitement of the ride is great, and there is no doubt that you WILL get wet! It is just a lot of fun. If you don't like water, then bring a poncho, but don't miss this ride!

Yelp
This is a no brainer on a hot day. The only hardcore water ride at Disneyland and one of the best river tube rides you'll find out there anywhere actually. "not the best, but it's up there". There are quite a few surprise drops, and the only downfall, is the lack of waterfalls to make good and sure everyone gets soaked. It's a lot of wet fun though and you will love it! I give a Grizzly River Run a 4 out of 5 stars

Yelp
I love this ride. It is so much fun and on a hot day, this ride will cool you off. Don't want to get wet? Bring a cheap poncho. Otherwise, prepare to get a little wet at the least. Worst case, you'll be drenched - but it is a blast!!!
