Google
They are hot chocolate (chocolate chaud) with crème was AMAZING!!! And their lemon sorbet was terrific. They were super busy and we do not speak French and the ladies still took their time in helping us and went out of their way to help with the language barrier. We appreciated their kindness.

Google
We took a short walk from Notre Dame to try this gelato place, and while the flavor was actually quite good, the texture felt a bit too liquidy for our liking. It’s still a refreshing treat, but we expected a creamier consistency. A decent stop if you’re nearby, but not a must-visit. 🍦

Google
Forgot to snap a photo before diving in, but trust me, this gelato was worth it. Sometimes the best moments don’t wait for your camera. Grom’s scoops are creamy without being heavy, with bright flavors that actually taste like the fruit they claim to be

Google
Gelato was fresh and tasty. We went there almost every day we were in Paris. I especially liked the pistachio and strawberry.

Google
If you are a Parisian, you must go, this is the best gelato place you have here If you are from any other place around the world, it’s okay, it’s like every other place you have in your home city If you’re Italian, I’m sorry

Google
After visiting the Louvre, we went to this gelato chain. The shop was quite small, but the staff were very friendly. They offered a good variety of flavors, and I chose my favorites - Chocolat Extra Noir and Cafe. The texture was nice, and both the chocolate and coffee had a deep, robust flavor. Overall, it was definitely worth a try!

Google
We got two gelatos - one with cookies & cream, caramel, and chocolate, and one with pistachio and vanilla w/ chocolate chip. The flavors taste so fresh and authentic, and the service is wonderful. They try to get you the perfect flavors for your taste. A nice place for gelato!

Google
I think the gelato is overrated. The gelato from Geneva was better, and I think the price is expensive compared to the amount of gelato.

Yelp
Just stumbled upon Grom and what luck. One of the best scoops of gelato I've ever had, including everything I tried in Italy. Came two times while in Paris. The pistachio is fantastic and the chocolate was perfect. Also make sure to get the cream on top! It makes it unique and special.
google avatar

Yelp
The only ice cream I like is Grom's "Crema di Grom" and the only location in Paris that has it is this one. In case you're unfamiliar, "Crema di Grom" is their signature flavor with biscuits, egg yolk, and chocolate. Add whipped cream on the top and wow. It's rich with the perfect texture. The large size is expensive, but it's worth it.

Yelp
One of the BEST gelatos I've had in my entire life! The texture of this gelato is absolutely incredible and makes the eating experience unmatched. I got a cup of the smallest size which looked tiny, but was actually a lot more than it looked. They let you choose 2 flavors with that, and I opted for pistachio and dark chocolate. The pistachio was great - you can't really go wrong with that one and they did it spot on here. However, the star of the show was the chocolate - I've never had such a good chocolate gelato or even ice cream. It was so thick, creamy, packed with flavor and dark chocolate pieces that were crunchy and paired so well in the gelato. I would have this all the time if I could, it was that good. Service was really friendly and they also have limited seating inside. Thank you for the best gelato I had in Paris!

Yelp
While roaming around in Paris, I was craving from some sort of ice cream and came across Grom! Nice little spot in Paris, which was next door to a restaurant. So, little French did I know, I attempted to order in French. Lol! Little did I know, the gentleman who took my order spoke English. Phew! But since I was in another country, might as well try to speak their language. Haha. Anyway, I ordered a cone with pistachio and hazelnut. The scoops were pretty big and worth the $5USD (rough estimate from Euros). It was very delicious. The gelato was creamy and the flavor was present, not watered down. So good! Highly recommend this gelato shop when in Paris!

Mark L.

Yelp
I had the pistachio gelato. The texture was so perfect, and of course the flavor was beautiful. Great place.

Yelp
Delicious, cute, gluten free. We enjoyed our cones very much. Raspberry and chocolate were sampled.

Yelp
Yum yum yum!! Highly recommend stopping by Grom for some delicious gelato. It's creamy and sweet and everything you hope for in gelato! I also appreciate their sizes, it's not over the top and after eating it you feel satisfied not gross and bloated. Also this area is super cute, so grab it to go and walk around! There is also a macaron place right across the street which I think was some of the best I found in Paris!

Yelp
Everybody loves ice cream and gelato more than me, and I guess I'm spoiled by having been to Italy a couple of times and having world class gelato there and elsewhere. Grom is basically too sweet for me, and "Meh, I've had better" as Yelp says, so two stars. Today I tried the salted caramel and chocolate extravaganza, which normally work well together. The chocolate was OK (not special), but the caramel was way off mark. It tasted bland and salty/sweet. Just not in balance. It didn't really taste very much like caramel at all. The problem may be that this place is just too popular. That can lead to cutting corners as production is ramped up to meet the demand. Also, I don't think that anybody is tasting the individual batches. Or if they are, they don't have a particularly sophisticated tasting palette. So if you're really craving gelato, I guess this place is as good as any in Paris. But don't expect anything out of the ordinary, and you won't be disappointed.

Yelp
tldr; same great Italian gelato located in Paris for a reasonable price I was excited to hear that Grom was in Paris! Grom is an Italian based gelato shop that's pretty darn good. This Grom is located in a really poppin area in St. German -- you pay first, and then you give your receipt to one of the gelato scoopers. Nice and simple! Grom has some alternating monthly flavors -- when I was there, I tried the lemon and the melon -- both were extremely refreshing and tasty on a hot summer Parisian day, and the price was quite reasonable -- 3.70 euros for a small, which can contain more than one flavor. The gelato here is flavorful, and the texture is smoothy and delicious. Portion size here is generous, and relative to the Berthillon down the street, I find that the flavors are quite good, and the price to be lower, so I end up coming here pretty frequently. They are English and credit card friendly which I appreciate as well.

Yelp
Amazing gelato. We came here every day in Paris and we think it's one of the best gelato places we've ever been to! Definitely recommend

Yelp
On our first night we came across this ice cream/ gelato shop. We are a fan of gelato but I was disappointed in hoping it would taste as good as I heard about it. It was average to be honest.

Yelp
Best gelato which I have ever eaten,I ordered my favorite flavor salted caramel and it was divine, highly recommend, free WiFi

Yelp
Grom offers tasty yet unremarkable gelato. I'm giving them 3 stars because I've had much better gelato in Italy, and at Bobboi in La Jolla, California. I had the pistachio and the Crema Di Grom flavors at Grom, and I also tasted the coffee flavored gelato. It's creamy and tasty, but the flavors are rather standard and unsurprising. The Crema di Grom flavor tastes similar to vanilla to me. Grom is fine if you're nearby, but it's not worth going out of your way to try it.

Yelp
Stopped by Grom for some gelato. Not much that can be said that hasn't been said before. It's goddamn delicious. I went with pistachio and blueberry on a cone. The cone was super crunchy and fresh, and the top was dipped in chocolate. The pistachio, while tasty, is pretty much what you expect. The blueberry is so decadent, almost like eating frozen jam. It was a great choice, highly recommend a stop in!
google avatar

Ixia J.

Yelp
Great gelato place located in Paris that tastes just as it would in Italy. All the flavors I tried were amazing, and I'm sure the others are just as tasty. Only setback for me was that it was a little pricier than average.

Yelp
If you have a choice between Amorino or GROM? GROM hands down wins. There is nothing fancy here, no waffles for your gelato, but where they lack in quantity they make up for in quality. They don't need any other fluff, as their gelato speaks for itself. This is the real Italian gelato, and GROM in Paris tastes as good as the GROM I have eaten in Milan. They have a large selection of flavors to choose from, and some sorbet. If you have a friend who can't have dairy and is missing ice cream the sorbet here is incredible. They have a chocolate sorbet that is so creamy, that you swear they forgot to give you the gelato version. Definitely the best sorbet I have come across. My gelato was heavenly. The service was extremely helpful, and as always at GROM, you can't pass the extra splash of their home made crème to top it off. Taste-bud heaven! I so wish I could bring GROM back to Switzerland with me. You will also find a couple of seats and high tables to sit at here.

Yelp
A great late night pick-me-up. You have to pay for the size before you can actually order, but the employees were really nice enough to let us try it first before ordering the size. The flavors were all really good and it was worth a try. They have small sizes that range to bigger ones, but they usually stack it so you'll be good with a medium sized cup.
google avatar

Yelp
Grom is an Italian ice cream maker, it started small but they quickly conquered all major Italian cities, then they started expanding abroad. I was very happy to find one of their shops in Paris. It was a very nice surprise. Their ice cream is just perfect. Forget about Amorino and similar. Try salty caramel and pistachios!
google avatar

Yelp
The first time I had GROM was in Italy and it was by far my favorite shop out of all the gelato I ate. I was incredibly excited to find out they had a location in Paris. There was no line at all when we got there which was nice. I ordered caramel & their signature crema di grom, which was a favorite of mine. The caramel was delicious! It wasn't very sweet and had a slight bitter taste, which I enjoyed very much. I took a scoop out of my much anticipated crema di grom and to my dismay, it fell flat and was far from the amazing flavor I had in Italy. The cookies didn't taste right and everything else was just ok. I'm glad I got 2 flavors. Otherwise, I would have been highly disappointed. Perhaps I went on an off day. I still love Grom and will try another location when I get the chance!

Yelp
I had heard so much tell of the famous ice cream of Berthillion, but when I mentioned it to my Parisian friend he scoffed and took us to Grom. This is gelato rather than ice cream, and I have had my share of gelato, but I must say they pale in comparison to this. The vanilla was profound, the chocolate decadent; the raspberry tart but multi-layered in its flavor (not just one-note); the pistachio mellow and savory; and the mango and melon deeply perfumed. We went twice during our trip to Paris, which will have to hold me, because the only location in the United States (where I live) is in New York (where I do not live!) Just another excuse to visit Paris again!
google avatar

Yelp
Was here about a month ago on a trip and couldn't resist this place. Lots of real flavors (no artificial BS), and certified ingredients from Italy. Ordered a Chocolate (Regular) and Lemon. Let me preface this next statement by saying that I am notoriously hard to please and have high standards for gelato and ice cream in general. But this gelato. This gelato was literally on a different plane of existence. Smooth and creamy, but rich without being overly stomach upsetting. I really don't think that you could do better in any country except Italy. Gelato above all else. Nuff said.
google avatar

Lily Z.

Yelp
Probably the best place to get gelato in Paris. I've been here several times, probably at least 3 times in one week during the summer. It is fresh, authentic and takes me back to my trip to Rome. Ah. Aside from gelato, they serve homemade hot chocolate for the winter months! There isn't much of a seating area either.
google avatar

Eileen C.

Yelp
GROM really is the best gelato in Paris. I would go as far as saying the best frozen treats place in Paris. Their gelato and chocolat chaud beat Amorino which you can find all over Paris. The only thing Amorino has against them are their gelato macarons. There's a reason why this place always has a line when it's warm and sunny. They have a rotating flavor of the month which is fun to keep up with. Their gelato is incredibly smooth and they have both ice based and cream based. Even with their biggest gelato size, I can eat it all and not feel sick because that's how light it is. The best part is that you can get as many FLAVORS as you like!! Party time. You can't go wrong with the classic FLAVORS like pistachio, chocolate, and stracciatella. Their cones are buttery and delicious. Their hot chocolates are out of this world. Their fresh cream is light and fluffy so this is a must to top your gelato. If you want to have the best of all worlds get an affogato with hot chocolate and fresh cream. My go to is stracciatella with the dark hot chocolate and cream. The large isn't too crazy so go for the big size and thank me later. As mentioned in other reviews, the employees are Italian and the place is super eco friendly. They are open late too which is a miracle in Paris. Limited seating indoors and outdoors, especially during the spring and summer. Prices are good and service is warm. What is there not to love?

Sara L.

Yelp
If you're in the Saint Germain area and in the mood for gelato, drop by Grom. It's popular and serves up pretty solid gelato. My go-to flavours are: 1. Nocciola (hazelnut) 2. Fiordilatte (milk/cream/sugar)
google avatar

Paul M.

Yelp
Some of the best icecream in Paris! They use quality ingredients (even the water apparently??), no artificial colourings or additives, and have some creative seasonal flavours. All this equals ice-cream flavours with party in your mouth freshness. To top it off, they're environmentally responsible with their packaging and waste. Cups and all other paper is made of 100% recycled or FSC certified paper, and spoons and bags are made of a bioplastic called Mater-Bi (which is made from renewable corn starch and vegetable oil). This means all their customer waste can be (and is) directed to composting and doesn't contribute to landfill. So a big green tick for Grom and hopefully it inspires other shop fronts in Paris to follow suit. My tips: - Their hot chocolate in the winter months (also some of the best in Paris and possibly the universe, which can be had as an affogato as well! - Their granitas in the summer months (especially Mandorla - almond paste and cane sugar). - Their whipped cream (panna montata).

Yelp
Enjoyed our ice cream in the St. Germain neighborhood. The cashiers surprised us on how well she spoke English when we were trying to answer her questions. Very tasty.

Yelp
I was wandering in the hood and was thinking of getting my last cup of gelato before I fly home the next day. I was so lucky! I was going to get a gelato from Amorino, but there's quite a bit of line up and therefore I kept walking and discovered GROM! It was the best gelato I have ever had! I ordered the cafe espresso and lampone (raspberry) flavour! The coffee flavour is so strong and you feel like you are really had a shot of espresso, the lampone is very refreshing, and unlike regular sorbet which is purely acidic sometimes, it's not too sour and not too sweet, just right. You know sometimes you will be dying for water after some ice-cream because they were either too sweet or too sour, you just feel good and satisfied after GROM gelato. Must Try! I hope they can open a store in Toronto soon too!
google avatar

Sam O.

Yelp
Great staff (mostly italian natives) and a very good selection of ice cream served in an eco friendly disposable cup. I tried their seasonal specialty "affogato" that can be served with a hot chocolate drink and your choice of icecream scoop ora shoot of espresso with your choice of ice cream. I really didn't know what to get and I got an useful tip from the lady at the counter to try the one with Coffee that is lighter in texture but more powerful in flavour. Well, it was a really good advice and that made this affogato a perfect drink/dessert with some fresh whipped cream. Not to sweet and beautifully balanced. They are serving them until March. The ice cream selection is large and some of my favourite are Pistachios, Coffee and the chestnut that is excellent. It is on the expensive side but for this quality,it is worth to pay the price (around 5€ the affogato)
google avatar

Robert M.

Yelp
Comedian Lewis Black talks about cities in the US with 3 or 4 Starbucks coffee stores on a corner. In Saint Germain there are two (chain) Italian ice cream shops nearly across the street from each other (well... perhaps a block a part on different streets but very close...). Both are good. Grom is better. Worth the walk. Amorino="gypsy attack" (see Amorino review), fancy cones, OK gelato and good seating Grom=No "gypsy attack," no fancy cones, better gelato, poor seating and a line
google avatar

Shaun D.

Yelp
Superb!! By far, the best "ice cream" I've ever had. To say it's heavenly is a drastic understatement and an insult to Grom. As a result, I'll simply say you must taste it for yourself. All flavors are made in house and believe it or not, you'll actually think about trying them all. While I successfully stuffed two small cups and a cone down (five flavors), I fell short of the ultimate goal. :/ Before I leave town, I'll definitely be back to continue the quest! P.S. For €0.50, you'd be silly not to add their homemade whip team to your order!! yummmmm...perfect topping
google avatar

Aaron D.

Yelp
The French may rule the roost when it comes to pastries, but the Italians dominate the gelato game. Grom = a little taste of Italian heaven in Paris! PS - Pay just a little extra and get a big dollop of chantilly cream on top of your gelato! Woo hoo :-D
google avatar

Brad H.

Yelp
I'm a fan, Berthillon is better, Amorino is slightly less tasy :) But why choose? Get all three.
google avatar

matthew z.

Yelp
Worth the 34 minute walk. If I closed my eyes, pistachio gelato was like eating cold pistachios. The peach was like biting into a real peach.
google avatar

Sarah R.

Yelp
We went here (after seeing the excellent reviews) on a day when one of the other ice cream shops was closed. I tried the sweet cream and the pistachio. The pistachio flavor was quite interesting, very true to the nut. The sweet cream was just simple and delicious. The hubby thought his pretty decent as well; "7.5 out of 10". They were happy to let us test flavors.
google avatar

Nicole K.

Yelp
You may think that Grom is just a chain gelateria in many of the major cities- from New York to Tokyo to Rome- but don't let that fool you into thinking that this is another Amorino. It's not. The flavors are so natural, and almost anything you'll have here will instantly be your favorite. I come here a lot, so here are some flavors I'll suggest. Sorbets-pamplemousse rose (grapefruit and rose), poire (pear), limone (lemon), dark chocolate. More creamy/seasonals- pistachio, caffé, Maron glaces, yogurt, hazelnut, steaciatella. Just about anything!
google avatar

Lora K.

Yelp
I love Grom! I was so excited to find it in Paris. I mean, the French stuff is good, but this is the bombdigity in my eyes. The chocolate sorbet is outstanding especially when mixed with the yogurt. All of the sorbets are delicious actually. The Granita is perfect for a hot day - all be it a tad on the sweet side, the lemon does really does quench your thirst. The guy at the counter suggested I put a scoop of lemon sorbet inside - excellent suggestion! As far as gelato flavors - its hard to choose, but the strataceli and the mint are outstanding...
google avatar

Yelp
Fantastic place! Very friendly, and just as importantly, fantastic product! We all loved it!
google avatar

Jessica G.

Yelp
Grom was excellent! Had the caramel and nougat gelato, small (€3.7) in a waffle cone. Well worth the stop after lunch--you must go as this location is as good as the one in Italy, so I am told!
google avatar

David M.

Yelp
We tried both Paris locations and they are equally great although this space is larger and has more seating. Everything has been excellent and am particularly impressed with their hot chocolate. Their lemon gelato is superb and the pistachio biscotti are fantastic too. Heading back today to try their glazed chestnut and the Persimmon gellato
google avatar

Elliott P.

Yelp
I wasn't able to try many ice cream shops in Paris, so maybe this is just me with my lower American standards for ice cream. But wow... dreamy stuff. Stop in!
google avatar

Francesca G.

Yelp
I'm not usually an ice cream/gelato lover- I like it, and I enjoy it when I occasionally have it, and that's usually it...however I love the ice cream here. I came on a really warm, beautiful Saturday evening just before they closed. We rocked up to quite a large line, that thankfully moved pretty fast. You order your size at the cash register, then give the receipt to the scoopers (is there a word for that?), and they serve you up the most amazing gelato I've had. If you order their smallest size, it costs about 3.70 I think, and you can choose 2 flavours. I chose the fiordilatte and bacio. Fiordilatte is basically milk flavoured ice cream, and it is my new favourite thing. I couldn't believe how good it was. The bacio was a bit heavy for me (VERY rich chocolate), but was also delicious. I enjoyed my gelato so much that I came back the next day. First I ordered a fiordilatte with nocciola, but I tried my sister's raspberry right before mine was scooped and quickly changed my mind and got the raspberry instead. This was amazing, and a perfect mix of sweet and sour with the fruit and milk flavours. I was also able to try the melon, which was great, and the peach which was a bit sour but also delicious. My only regret is discovering this place a week before heading to the beach!

Eric H.

Yelp
Good sorbet and ice cream (might have been gelato couldn't really tell). We went on a really hot so it was a little bit of a freak show with the crowd and ordering process (you order, pay and then the folks building the cone/cup/shake take your ticket and ask you what flavors you want - that wasn't clear since we don't really speak French). Very charming setting on busy Paris side street. Glad we went!

I V.

Yelp
Excellent ice cream and charming host. We especially liked the coffee and pistachio ice cream. A very enjoyable moment.
google avatar

Jessica E.

Yelp
Absolutely delicious. Worth the wait! The Sicilian lemon was so fresh and tart. The Crema de Grom was so tasty with various textures of chocolate chips and a cookie. Also tried the raspberry and pisachio which were outstanding. Open late is a major plus.

BayAreaFamilies A.

Yelp
Loved the ice cream here! Chocolate was by far the best. We tried chocolate, vanilla & coffee. Be ready it starts dripping quickly. Just stop by & enjoy. You will first purchase the item by size. Then proceed to the next station, hand over the larger receipt, & choose what flavors you want. Of the 2 Grom locations we visited, I preferred this one. It's storefront was more open to the outdoors & a bigger staff.
google avatar

Kelly H.

Yelp
5 stars for when I yelped ice cream places that were still open at 11:30pm at night and within walking distance of our Paris hotel and Grom saved the night. Gelato and customer service were on point, and it was the perfect sweet way to end our last night in Paris.
google avatar

Olivia B.

Yelp
I've already been here twice this week (...it's Tuesday). If you get a craving for some salted caramel, chocolate, and coffee gelato (or in my case, all of the above) during the weekend, be prepared to wait for an ungodly amount of time. It's definitely worth the long lines! I suggest you bring a book or a friend you haven't seen in a while. The staff is friendly and it's just a short stroll from the Seine.
google avatar

J. B.

Yelp
My wife is obsessed with gelato, and she said it was the best gelato she's ever had (even better than ones in Italy), and I have to agree with her. The flavor is strong and the texture is utterly perfect.
google avatar

Chris P.

Yelp
We've been to the store in NYC, this one is slightly different as there's no inside seating. Expect a line at this place during the warm days of Paris. Regardless, I've never had such delicious ice cream. What I mean here is, you can get a no additional flavoring solid-state cream; just heavenly cream- it was a wonderful, unique, and refreshing treat!
