I had a wow customer experience today. Walked in just to browse and was helped by Manu. He's awesome he helped get a nice Kershaw first knife. He was very thorough and took the time to show me knives several hundred dollars more expensive than mine but he was passionate and wanted to guide me in the decision process. I'll definitely be back for more knives.

I ordered this sheath from Etsy. However when I revived it, my expectation was not quite met. So I called in and spoke with Matt. Holy cow this guy is not only friendly and extremely knowledgeable but is a true artisan. We talked it over and went over all the specs after a few short days it was in my mailbox. Best way to describe how perfect my example is, in a thousand words are pictures :)

This place is great. I was looking for a hard to find knife that was out of stock everywhere online. I was lucky to stumble upon Grommet's Knife and Carry and find one in stock. Ordered from across the country on Sunday and had by Wednesday.

My experience has been 100% positive with these guys, even when I bought a knife elsewhere they still helped out for recommendations on steel types. The prices for the most part are pretty competitive and the owner is knowledgeable about different knife steels and knife brands. I originally mistook them as a mall ninja shop at there old location but when I saw there knife offerings, I took them more seriously, they do carry a lot of mid tier to high end knives. They are my go to knife people and would absolutely recommend.

Best knife and leather shop and Southern California hands down! The staff are all friendly and very knowledgeable. If you're looking for high-end and hard to find edged tools this is the shop!! Probably the best collection of Medford knives anywhere in California. Looking forward to my next Medford purchase with them.

I've ordered from this store twice now and I am beyond happy with their customer service. I've called several times with questions about potential orders and they are always willing to take the time and answer all my questions. Decided to visit Grommet's because of the email I received for "In-House Sharpening" services and thought they could buff out some minor scratches on a blade. Nope. Sales lady I talked to looked clueless and said the blade would have to be re-ground. Really? For minor scratches? So this was time wasted and as Thanos said, "I'll do it myself".

Second time I've came and they've been closed when it shows they're open. They are a great store with a lot of great items. It's unfortunate They can't take the time to show when they are open and when they're closed on yelp or google.

This is one of the last great knife shops around. Many have been closing due to the mega online retailers. Being able to handle a knife in person before purchasing is rare these days. The owner is awesome and knows his knives and products. I'll shop here before going online. Support local businesses people!

They sharpened my Benchmade knife for free. I went back a couple weeks later and they had a good deal on a Benchmade knife I had my eye on for a while. The gal at the counter was very friendly and helpful.

Found this business on yelp, looked like a good knife store. Called them to see if they had two items and I am very surprised to tell you............ that they have a phone number but have the business moto of never answering it lol. I called three different days for a total of maybe twenty calls total and no one ever answered once. It would probably be easier to send them a letter through USPS and get a response. I can't imagine there is a line of customers waiting to get in and the employees not being able to answer the phone. Very sad. But I called a different knife store in the area and found what I was looking for, drove a little farther than this location but it was worth it. I had several knives sharpened at this establishment. Benchmade are free. They also do leather work and I plan to go back for some holster adjustments.

Awesome store! This was our first time coming here and we were very impressed! They make any leather things that you want in the back- for example: belts, bags, etc. The store has a huge variety of items I was really surprised seeing what they had. They have a bunch of different knives obviously, but more so than that they had items like single blade razors, shaving items, specialty pens/notebooks, zippos, leatherman utility tools, and much more! We were helped by one of the store representatives her name is Cecelia and she was really nice. She was so patient, we asked to see so many knives multiple times and she did not mind at all. She is very knowledgeable with the items they sell so she was just great to work with. I've been to many knives stores and they typically only have 1-2 Medfords but this store had a really big/nice selection. They also have a big selection of benchmade and spider co. If you have a benchmade knife even if you didn't buy it there or if you do buy it there they will always provide free sharpening. They're able to give discounts on limited items and some stuff comes with lifetime or limited warranties. You can bring any of your knives here to sharpen as well. I highly recommend you come visit this shop if you're in the area!

Great selection of knives and the staff is very knowledgeable. Everyone was very friendly and willing to share a conversation. They also have leather crafts available on their Etsy store and it was just a cool chill environment. Definitely will be visiting again soon and they also do shipping online.

This is, in my opinion, the best knife store in Southern California. I have driven up to this store from San Diego (about 2 hours) multiple times, and I look forward to doing it again! Last time I was looking for a knife that wasn't in stock, so they ordered it for me and then shipped it to my house free of charge. Amazing customer service, fair prices and an awesome selection of knives.

I was looking to get my Spidero knife professionally sharpened and found this business by doing a good search. I am glad I came here as Cecilia was awesome and made my knife sharper than it has ever been. I went in just looking to get one thing and then found out they also custom make many different leather product, one being wallets. My wallet was +/- 20 years old and worked just fine I was sold on getting a replacement made after Matt said he could put a custom touch on my wallet. Once he said he could do it I had to have it even though I did not need one. When I get this it will be amazing and something I hope to have more than 20 years. I am super thrilled to see it complete and I will paste a few pics here one I pick up in the next three to four week. Thanks Cecilia and Matt, you both were awesome and I hope I can get you some more business down the road from family, friends or even from this review.

Pro: they have a great selection of knives as well as decor items. They are extremely helpful, pleasant, and knowledgeable about the products they carry. They're conveniently located in a mall. They offer a variety of swords both for combat use or simply wall hanging decor. They're geeky! Con: they get to know you when you're a repeat customer. So they can be quite harmful to your checkbook. As a sword fighter, I was recently teased with a longsword, that had finally come into stock, which they knew I wanted. I am now locked into a layaway for said sword *sigh*. (/sarcasm, I'm ecstatic to add this sword to my collection!) Conclusion :you will get quality products and fair prices. You will receive friendly, knowledgeable answers to your questions. You will find exactly what you're looking for either in stock, or easily ordered! A visit to this shop will definitely be worth your time!

Found this place on Yelp when I searched for knife sharpening. I called and was pleasantly greeted. I asked if they sharpened gardening tools, and they told me to bring them on by. Took a pair of gardening shears, and rose pruners. I moseyed on over, and dropped them off. An hour later, I was told they were ready. Got home and of course I had to try them. Let's just say, my bushes won't stand a chance. Great service. I will be back! Shout out to the two ladies who helped. Great customer service!

These guys have a fantastic leather craftsman who can do custom orders. He was easy to reach and deal with. Got my wife a wallet for her bday, exactly what she wanted in style, design, color, and imprint! Shipped with not a single issue. I'll be back guys! Thank you!

Don't let them near a knife using any steel you value. The ken onion worksharp belt sharpener is very rough and not sutible for mirror polish finishes or anything you would like to properly sharpen the knife. Just get some stones and save yourself a lot of lost steel. Other than that great guys with the standard set of Spyderco non sprint runs and every coldsteel you could want. They will order in items for you too which is cool.

This review is for an online transaction from the East coast. Grommet's had an item I was searching for that was out of stock everywhere I looked on the East coast. It was available at a competitive price and free shipping, and Melissa supplied and confirmed the information on the web site (some info was slightly different on the web site than the actual item). Grommet's shipped the item Priority Mail (at a pretty hefty price) the same day I ordered and it arrived two days later. It was as Melissa described. So in my experience, Grommet's has a good inventory of items, fast shipping and a helpful staff. It may pay off to confirm web descriptions however.

Wow! It's been 4 years since I found this gem. I was just back in the shop after a long time and I see they have kept up with the knife industry and new products. The only place I know that carries Medford's, Chris Reeve, Hinderes and Protechs. Amazing knowledge from their staff. Amazing customer service. I like to check the knife myself before dropping big money on a blade and Grommet's makes that possible. These guys can answer questions that you can't get answered from your other retail shops that sell knives, like manufacturer warranty, the qualities of different steels, the best knife for your specific need and they all carry knives in their pocket so you know they walk the walk. These specialty shops are all about gone so I love to support this business instead of web stores that are out of state. I just wish I lived closer. I recommend this place to all the knife lovers I run into at work.

They did a great job on my knives! I asked them to sharpen my shears and they said they did not have the proper tools for sharpening them. They sent me to the right store. I'll have these guys on speed dial!

Great selection of knives and the pricing is very competitive. I placed an order with them, and minutes later decided I wanted a different knife. I called them expecting it was going to be a hassle, but they quickly canceled my order and Sezzle transaction, so that I could immediately place a new order. Shipping was fast too! Definitely a company I will buy from again.

Grommet's is one of the few places in the Inland Empire that professionally sharpen quality knives. The craftsmen here can reshape dull and misused blades, taking out nicks and indentations along the edge. As of today, I haven't found a knife beyond their abilities, and their service is both knowledgeable and rapid. My personal collection consists largely of high carbon Japanese kitchen knives. As we all know, high carbon blades are notoriously temperamental, acquiring pits, nicks, rust and stains from a single amateur use. I'm also quite fond of damascus blades, and Grommet's returns both to me looking like new for about $4-8 a knife. In addition to their sharpening services, Grommet's has an entire store of hunting, tactical and fantasy blades. For those unable to drive out to Moreno Valley, you can easily send in knives for restoration through the mail, following instructions on their website. All in all, the type of quality and service one usually struggles to find.

Amazing knife shop. Wether or not the staff is knowledgable can be a hit or miss, but even the ones without any expertise are quick to pull out the catalogs and find you the information on any of the higher end blades you could want. That staff that is knowledgable, are very knowledgable. Everyone is welcoming and helpful nonetheless and their selection range from beginner flip opens to hand forged imported blades. Huge inventory of quality knives. I purchased two kitchen knives from them and they have since replaced my entire block at home. Worth every penny, although you will be shelling out tons of pennies for some of these higher end steels. They offer sharpening services as well and many knife accessories.

Bf and I was heading into the boonies for a friend's BBQ. We hadn't been to this mall for awhile, so we dropped on by, went to Round 1, and then just checked out the mall. I remembered Grommet from their other store that is closer to Los Angeles, but it wasn't the best experience ever. The bf and I still stepped in here to see what they had to offer. Nice big cases of Zippo. Nice big cases of Benchmade, including the awesome wall of just the blade blanks (which we are totally going to do to our garage when we find our forever home). Cool case of esee blades, good case of Spydercos, lots of limited edition, rare, out of production Benchmades. They also had a few good kitchen items, where I was particularly eyeing the Shun folding steak knife, and some of the Benchmade kitchen blades that you would not find anywhere at all. Saw SOG knives, Kershaws, a few Santa Fe Stonework knives... They also have a case of throwing knives, and an area with swords. And, for those in the services, they'll have things for you, too. They also had cute cases with fairy figurines and ocarinas. Lol. Not too out of place, but it was a little different to see them. Prices are, of course, higher in the store than if you were to go out and buy online. But, you get to feel the product before you buy it, hence why it's pretty good to go and support your local knife shop. Then again, some of their prices really weren't too bad, especially when you consider that buying online would still mean you have to pay for shipping/tax, and have the possibility of a loss shipment. They were about to have their Labor Day sale the next day, where I think it was around a 20% off kitchen items. The service was excellent. I was greeted by both of the people that were working there, and they treated me with respect and had no issues with the bf or myself. We had small talk here and there, and the bf and I got to really know one of the guys (who had to recover a knife sheath between the cases...). Overall, really top-notch guys. And, because I will totally support a knife shop that I may not frequent often, I definitely bought a few items before we left that day. If we're in the area, we'll probably be back. Had a really good vibe when we went, so keep up the good work! I'm also really eager to see how they do in terms of actually fixing knives in shop, as it sounds like it's in the works.

***Located on the upper level near Macy's*** I visited this place on Jan 11, 2017 around 6pm after walking around the entire mall looking for the place. I went in with a specific knife in mind: Benchmade Nimravus with a serrated edge and a tanto point in sand color. Honestly, I kept my expectations low given its location inside a mall and all the movie swords on display. However, I was pleasantly surprised at the large selection of Benchmade knives. Moreover, they had the knife I wanted in stock!!! The cherry on top was when Cody asked if I was military and gave me a 20% discount. I will definitely come back for another knife and recommend this place.

They are extremely knowledgeable and very friendly. They give great advice and you can tell they aren't just trying to push high priced items. I will definitely buy from here again and will recommend them.

Awesome knives from mid tech production knife companies and you get everything you pay for, it's alittle bit more than online but your getting the product ASAP as opposed to waiting for a package and you get knives rarely in stock online and like the old saying goes you get what you pay for awesome attention to detail and customer service

What an awesome store! I bought a Microtech UTX-70 from them and it arrived within 2 days. I was so pleased with the knife and the shipping and prices, that I bought another Microtech one day later, this time the original Ultratech. I was very pleased with all the selection they had. They had different models, different colors, different finishes, different blades. It made it hard for me to choose from all the choices they had, which is a good thing, because when you pay for a premium knife, you want to be happy with your selection, and I was! Will definitely be buying from them again!!!

The staff were very polite, friendly, and resourceful when I came in. They addressed all my issues and found when some of the watches didn't have prices, were very prompt at delivering them to me with haste, they were also very accommodating when it came to wanting to buy an inexpensive yet quality work knife. Came in to sharpen 2 knives I bought in Texas and ended up walking out with a new watch, new work knife, and 2 new fidget balisongs. I wish I would have gotten their names, but it was a young lady and equally young gentleman whom assisted me.

Awesome store! I'm moving out here from Orange County and I was sad because it put me far away from my favorite knife store in the Orange Mall. Then I discovered this store while on the way to see a movie! I was psyched and had to go back when they were open because I saw a sign that said free Benchmade sharpening. I went in the next day and not only did they sharpen my Benchmade for free, but they offered to take it completely apart and clean it and replace my bent clip also for free without me even asking! They're friendly staff took me around the store while I was waiting for my knife to be done, showing me the fun toys they have to offer. Very impressed! Definitely going to be a regular customer from now on!

I went for their sharpening services. A bearded gentleman, named Cody, was EXCELLENT. He knows how to sharpen like no one's business. He even gave advice on blade maintenance. I'll DEFINITELY be driving from Rancho Cucamonga to Moreno Valley to have them sharpen my Wüsthof blades.

I put a 300 dollar knife on layaway with 70 dollars for a deposit and couldn't make the payments couldn't get my deposit back and will never shop here again

I have bought several knives and even an old fashioned shave kit from this shop. I love the place! The employees are awesome, knowledgeable, and were willing to help with any question I've asked. I'm happy to say I frequent GC on a regular basis. Keep it up guys!

I have to say this place is awesome! The huge variety of everything medieval is astounding! Just visiting is worth it even if you don't buy anything. They have the best knifes available and then they have your budget knives. The staff has always been friendly to me, and has always helped me find what I want in a knife. Big plus they are big supporters of the military, and give a huge discount (20% I believe). They even have a section just for active military and police that have auto-knives and butterfly knives.

They have quality knifes, but there sharping department sucks. They run it through the work sharp 4 swipes and use a sharpening rod and than stroped it tried to cut a piece of paper instead it cut a inch than ripped the rest. Need to improve on the sharpening department.

Huge selection of folding knives, friendly, knowledgeable, enthusiastic staff, and no sales pressure. This is an impressive, fun store for the knife enthusiast and first-time knife buyer alike. The sales people will take their time with you, letting you decide if the knife is perfect for you. They have a 3 - 4 cases full of Benchmade knives, including Benchmade Gold Class. They are reducing their Spyderco inventory to focus more on Benchmade, who they feel offer a better warranty. I'm a huge Spyderco fan, so I wish Spyderco would work with the brick and mortar stores more to make them happy. They carry lots of other brands, such as ZT - Zero Tolerence. This store has more inventory and friendlier staff than the other big knife retailer in SoCal at South Coast Plaza. I've been here 3 - 4 times over the past year and will continue to shop here.

This store is always a pleasure to visit. They have a great selection of inventory. You can find whatever you are looking for here, Plus!! The staff had always been friendly. They are knowledgeable about their knives, and have always been willing to help or display something for you. This place is also probably the, bests place in town to get any blade sharpened. I would recommend anyone looking to get a new blade, or blade sharpened to check this store out. Or check it out also if you want to see some really cool swords, they have a great selection of stuff.

Awesome shop and guys. I took 6 knives in this morning for a way overdue sharpening and had them back in 4 hours. I don't think my knives were this sharp when they were new. Highly recommended!

Awesome place with great merchandise and a knowledgeable staff. Every great movie weapon you can think of with awesome knives not to mention an awesome lay away plan. While yes it's a nice little place. Lot's of knives But I had came in to check out their swords. But service could have been a lot better. I came in waited to ask a question after 15 min. I was still waiting. one employee was busy helping someone so that was fine but another employee wasn't doing anything at the moment. So I thought I go over and ask the question. He was somewhat helpful but I felt I waited long for an answer. Plus I wasn't greeted.
