"Belgium's Spring Tulip Garden Most garden-lovers have heard of the Dutch tulip garden, Keukenhof, a few hours north of Belgium. Few, however, have heard of Belgium's own wonderful spring tulip garden at Groot-Bijgaarden Castle. Also called Grand Bigard (in French), the castle gardens are home to 1.5 million spring bulbs, including tulips, hyacinths, crocus and daffodils. Parts of the castle are open to the public, during this time, and each room hosts a different flower display, such as an orchid exhibit in the chapel. Two large greenhouses, on the grounds, host exhibitions by local flower growers ranging from roses to lilies and even rare tropical blooms. It's a paradise for garden-lovers and photographers alike. You can even purchase bulbs to take home and plant for yourself."

I had a wonderful experience there. The organization is very good and the staff took care every detail for the decoration. The price for the entrance is 14€. I think is a bit expensive but it’s a nice once in a lifetime experience. We tried the pumpkin soup, pumpkin cake, pumpkin fries and pumpkin Prosecco. The food is also expensive but it’s tasty.

We visited the weekend before the autumn break (October 26), so we anticipated it would be busier than usual. However, we didn’t expect it to be this crowded—finding parking was impossible, and we ended up having to walk about 6-7 minutes to reach the venue. The atmosphere was nice, but we couldn’t enjoy everything as we spent a lot of time waiting in lines for food, the pumpkin patch, and other activities. The place was extremely crowded, making it challenging to navigate with a stroller, especially since the path was muddy from rain the night before. Many of the pumpkins were already rotten, though we did find a few in decent shape. Overall, it was a fun experience for the kids, but I’d recommend visiting on a weekday instead of a weekend for a less hectic experience.

I visited the castle during Pumkinmania. One word: fascinating. The cost of the ticket may seem excessive, but in the end it is worth every cent. The place is magical. The garden is packed with pumpkin sculptures, pumpkin activities, pumpkin dishes and even a pumpkin boat! Organization is great. My suggestion would be to go there as soon as the place opens (10 am). It's easier to find parking (let's complicated later in the day). Eat at 11 am and you will also skip the lunch queue. After lunch it gets just too crowded, but still enjoyable. Choose a sunny day, bring your own food if you want to go there later in the day. Place is totally children and pets friendly. I'll go there next year as well. Hope to see you there!

We go from time to time when there is an event like Floralia in April/May or Halloween in October. It’s a nice maintained estate. Mostly it is quiet though can get busy on a sunny Sunday. Floralia exhibits tulips and is very popular. Make sure to dress depending the changing weather in Belgium. There are food stalls to buy some drinks and water and also you can buy flowers but it very limited. Don’t expect a market. The estate has a small playground for kids as well. Entry is steep at 14 eu for adults.

Attended Pumpkin Mania Found the pumpkin sculptures to be disappointing and lacking in creativity compared to last year's dinosaur theme Pumpkin boat ride was unavailable, which was a letdown Tried fried pumpkin chips for the first time, but found them to be too salty and pricey Overall, had a fun time but event did not live up to expectations.

Very pretty garden with thousands of tulip's stems. You're allowed to take pictures with flowers created with your magnificent imagination. Was here two years ago, it was a absolutely wonderful experience. So this time I came with my family from Taiwan, but we were more than disappointed. There was even no way to have a refund, and the toilet was not free. Terrible service. We may not come back again.

Additionally, the 5 € parking fee seems unnecessary since I ended up on street parking ,and no one to check the parking fees.

Nice spot to go on a weekend picnic, there is parking and everything is well kept. Visited during pumpkin mania and it was worth it.
