I really enjoyed it here and loved the menu options. The location is great as it’s right by the water, and with two levels you can usually find a seat. Everything I tried was delicious. I just wish they offered a lemongrass tofu dish and a few more vegetarian options. The prawn dim sum was unreal! Overall, it was a really good experience.

Google
Stumbled on this gem on our 1st day in Paris looking for some quick bite comfort food. Turned out to be the best Asian food we ever tried. We took almost everything from the mains of the menu and couldnt decide which one was better. The interior was cozy and the service was fast as it can be. Amazing!

Google
The food is so good that I went two nights in a row. The restaurant is large with indoor seating in two levels. Menu is delicious and fairly simple with a variety of baos, plates and small appetizers. Also offer a dessert menu. You can order and pay via QR at the table. The food comes out fast. The only thing I wish is that the staff was a bit friendlier/welcoming.

Google
Very cool find. Great food, great service and a cool experience. They had a virtual menu which you can use should you wish. We notice that it was linked to our actual table and so we could check the order and pay online with Apple Pay. Unexpected and pretty convenient. Food comes out really fast as well. Upon leaving we saw they had an option to order takeaway outside though a system mounted in the wall. Kinda fun. Definitely worth a visit. You should probably try book as it was very busy (on a Monday). I think we got a table as we were there before 7pm.

Cute restaurant by the canal. The service is good and the location very cute. The food was good as well, we didn’t love the baos (ironically) but the rest loved it.

I had lunch at Gros Bao and ordered the beef ho fun with the cucumber salad as a side. Everything was really good, the quality of the ingredients is top tier! The prices are also well balanced for being a restaurant in Paris. Also the sichuan/pineapple refresher was so good!

It’s really really good ! The bao buns are like biting into a cloud and the fried chicken is also delicious! Highly recommend !

Google
Genuine Chinese street food, we delighted our tastebuds in a cool atmosphere, great clientele and amazing display with opened kitchen, I’m just not fond of the furniture type (1960 Formica) not sure Chinese families knew this type of home kitchen setup of dining furniture but it was meant to be cheap then not famous for being comfy.. anyway! Char siu bao and siu mai dim sum with shrimp are absolutely to die for, sweet and sour chicken and char siu pork are amazing dishes to share with a cup of jasmine rice bowl! Pilsner lager pairs with the food, extra tip please ask chopped ginger to top up with the house made sauce of soy and vinegar, then you’ll have the perfect dip for your dim sum 👌🥟

Yelp
We stopped in for dinner with a large group and sampled a pretty extensive menu: fresh cucumber salad, crispy shrimp spring rolls, baozi Shanghai classic, eggplant hong shao, Sichuan-style green beans, mapo tofu, crispy fried chicken, beef ho fun, charsiu pork, Shanghai noodles, and finished off with the mango sago. Overall, the food was flavorful and enjoyable. The crispy shrimp rolls and baozi were crispy, juicy, and well-balanced. The eggplant hong shao had a nice savory flavor, and the green beans had just enough spice without overwhelming the palate. The charsiu pork and Shanghai noodles were also solid choices, cooked well with good texture. Mango sago was a refreshing way to finish off the meal. One minor drawback, some of the space felt a bit rundown and dirty, which slightly impacted the overall experience. Still, the quality of the dishes and pleasant service makes it worth trying.

Yelp
We ate here late night after a long day at the Louvre. Service was great, the food was fantastic. Not pictured was their classic bao which comes in pairs but was devoured before a photo could be taken. The charsiu was amazing, pork seems more tender in Europe. Fried garlic chicken was good and the fried rice and beef noodles were also as expected. What was surprisingly good was the aubergenes (eggplant) which is something we do usually order but the server recommended it as a best seller and it was flavorful and filling. This is a Chinese restaurant in Paris so the servings are not as enormous as in the US. Don't expect to take anything home, a family of 4 was able to finish 6 dishes.

Yelp
After ordering from Bao Family on Deliveroo a few times, I finally made it to Gros Bao along the canal in mid-September 2022. I came with my Chinese mother for lunch on a beautiful Sunday. We arrived shortly before the restaurant opened at noon and were probably the second party in line and therefore got prime seating on the balcony overlooking the canal. It was my mother's first time in Paris and she definitely had her doubts about how Chinese food would be in Paris, but in the end she admitted that she loved the food here. We ordered some soup dumplings and beef noodles as our mains, with a side of marinated cucumbers. The dumplings were hot, fresh and soupy, and the beef noodles were very flavorful with a generous amount of meat. In addition, the beef was perfectly tender. For dessert we got the sesame balls, which were served fresh, piping hot and perfectly crispy on the outside and gooey on the inside. This was one of my favorite meals I had along the canal and I would definitely come back! The restaurant is beautiful, especially with the balcony. They do not take reservations, so there can be quite a line as you get into the rush hour so I would recommend getting in line before they open if possible.

Yelp
So let's start with the decor. This place gives off a home style Asian vibe. The Bao station is open so you can see the staff preparing orders. Amazing ambiance and delicious food. Best where the mini bao's and beef ho fun. The fried rice and house noodles were ok. Also try their house hot sauce. I mixed it with soy sauce and it was spectacular. I will go back there for sure. Top tier service as well.

Yelp
I grew up in San Gabriel Valley, in Los Angeles. We know good Chinese food. Find a way to go in a group and order the FULL DUCK. It comes with the steam buns to wrap with the sauces and veggies. The real winner is the soup broth they make with the bones/ leftover meat and also the fried rice. Aside from the duck I highly recommend the AUBERGINES HONG SHAO, and BEEF HO FUN. ENJOY! PS: They don't have reservations, but if you get there early enough, you'll be seated fairly quickly.

Yelp
Like Petite Bao, just awesome and that's all I have to add to this post. No more no less.

Yelp
Stumbled in earlier today in the midst of a rain storm both starving and soaked. Frankly anything would have been fine but fortunately for us Gros Bao was fantastic. The bao were solid, the char siu pork was totally great but the highlights of the meal were the vegetable dishes -- the braised eggplant was stupendous and the cucumber salad crisp and refreshing. Really neat two story space overlooking the canal makes for cool vibes too. Loved the place!

Yelp
We managed to get a table because we came at the right time - the line was down the block when we left. They brought us upstairs to a lovely table in the corner with a view of Canal Saint-Martin and Quai Jemmapes. The bathrooms were beautiful and gender-neutral. There were plenty of options for my two vegetarian friends. We got spring rolls, fried rice, Xiao long bao, baozi, and veggies. Everything came out so quickly and was so delicious. For dessert, we got chocolate bao, mantou frits, and bubble tea ice cream. Again, everything came quickly and was delicious. We all wished we weren't leaving paris soon so we could keep coming back!
