Grosvenor House

Fantastic experience, we had a gorgeous high-ceiling room facing the park which was traditionally decorated and an exceptional nights sleep. The location is perfect, central to town, but quiet, and right next to the park. The communication was easy, we booked via email, confirmed the stay closer to the date, and paid via card on check out. The breakfast was one of the best we’ve ever had including from restaurants / cafes - I would advise guests to accept the homemade marmalade when offered, it’s 10/10. Overall our best ever B&B, and one of our best accommodations for a trip, so pleased we chose to stay here for our wedding anniversary, and excellent value, would highly recommend.

Excellent location. The hosts take great care to look after their guests. Breakfasts were of a really high quality. As a big tea drinker, I loved the fact that the rooms provided a tea pot and fresh milk. I could write endlessly about all the thoughtful things that the hosts do for their guests but I’m sure other reviewers will have covered many things I haven’t mentioned. If you are not looking for corporate blandness and the indifference that often comes with it, this is the perfect place to stay.

We stayed here as an overnight as part of a friends/family catch up and day out in Buxton followed by an evening meal and drinks out in the town. Our accommodation was really clean and well stocked with premium products far exceeding the cost (in my opinion such as clipper coffee, proper Yorkshire branded tea etc ) and had actual fresh milk in the fridges instead of the packets. We were very comfortable and had an amazing choice at breakfast with really friendly people, in short, yes we would definitely stay again, yes I would recommend Grovenor House if you are looking for a reasonably priced comfortable guest house with a fab breakfast in a good location with paid parking x

Excellent location in central Buxton good for pavilion opera house etc. Really nice hot and tasty breakfast with plenty of options both cold and hot. Good facilities in room including small fridge and of course some Buxton water.

We booked this as a party of 7 to celebrate our Golden Wedding Anniversary and were not disappointed. We had all 4 rooms on the first floor and each one was comfortable with a good selection of beverages, fresh milk, comfortable bedding and lovely towels in bathrooms. Our breakfast was wonderful. The selection, service and freshness was commented on by all. Loved the home made marmalade Alison. A home from home. Thank you both for our wonderful stay. We would not hesitate to recommend you

Great location opposite the park. Easy to walk into the town centre. Good sized room with comfortable beds, a fridge with milk and water already inside, wide selection of teas and coffee (including filter coffee with cafetiere). Nice towels and shower gel. Free parking. Fantastic breakfast, both in quality and quantity. Thank you!

Stayed at the Grosvenor overnight whilst watching a show at Pavilion Theatre. The Hotel is only a very short walk from the theatre, less five minutes, and the room we stayed in had a fantastic view of the park. Nothing was too much trouble for our hosts. The room and breakfast were fantastic. We wanted for nothing and could fault nothing. Would highly recommend.

The Victorian house is very well maintained, the rooms are tidy and beautifully decorated, with views to the Pavillon gardens and the crescent. The location is perfect. Kevin and Alison are awesome hosts. They really go above and beyond to make you feel welcome and comfortable. The breakfast they serve exceeds all expectations, offering a remarkably abundant and comprehensive culinary experience. Overall, excellent experience!
