This is an amazing cave system. The wait for the next tour is a chance to explore the small village which is very lovely and has a beautiful church worth seeing. The tour is in Italian. There is a download- able English audio ap, but it wasn't that hard to understand the quide. " wow" is universal. Pictures don't do it justice at all. The vastness of the cave's heights and size of the features does not come through in only 2 dimensions.

they were stunning. the tour guide was cheerful, funny and very good with kids. she answered every question and was overall extremely welcoming. the place itself is seriously breathtaking, a must-go if you get the chance. the reduced price was 18€ per person, which might seem steep but it's totally worth it as it allows you to enter two more museums for free.

A must do when visiting the region! The caverns are magnificent & magical. They found them in 1971 and opened them to the public in 1973. The stalagmites and stalactites are phenomenal. If you come by train, it is a 1 km walk to the ticket station where the bus will take you for the tour. They have tours in English. We purchased tickets in advance.

Simply amazing! The Grotte di Frasassi are a breathtaking natural wonder — vast underground caverns filled with stunning stalactites, stalagmites, and surreal rock formations. The scale and beauty of the caves are truly awe-inspiring, and the guided tour is both informative and well-paced. A must-see destination for nature lovers and curious travelers alike.

Excellent tour. Although we went off season so the tour was in Italian only. But didn't matter, used Google translate while the guide was speaking and it worked absolutely fine.

This is really worth doing if you are in the area. The caves are spectacular and only discovered in the 70s. We went mid May and unfortunately could not get an English tour guidebook I think there are more available in peak season. Buy tickets before visit to ensure you get a good time and don't have to wait for long. My only criticism was the size of the party. It could do with being a bit smaller. Again that might be different in the peak season. Tickets 18 euros well worth it!

Amazing large caves, full of the most beautiful stalactites and stalacmites. Including guided tour, where a lot of interesting things are told. Just one negative thing: children under 5 years of age should not be allowed. We had a baby crying many times, which really disturbed a lot of people. Also children which were not able to climb the (many) stairs, which holp up the group.

This cave is a "Must See". I'm an Environmental Scientist and had an excellent time walking round and learning from our excellent tour guide Michael. His knowledge is fantastic and he is great humoured. The cave is beautiful, all the chambers have their own quirks making them outstanding in so many ways. My family do not have the same level of Environmental Science knowledge as myself but still really enjoyed the experience! Accessibility: We got there easily by train and walking from Ancona. There's a shuttle bus that takes you from the ticket desk to the caves but the walk isn't too bad either. The walk around the caves isn't strenuous but be aware there are stairs.
