France's 'Voyage Gourmand' Food Trail Runs From Dijon to Marseille

"An underground tasting experience where visitors descend into a cave and sample three local wines in complete darkness, including one wine that is aged in the cave itself, creating a unique sensory and educational sommelier-style activity." - Alexandra Domrongchai

Guide we had was excellent, made experience so much better! Listenes to every question and had patience with kids 😅 The cave is impressive even without light-coloured pools which was epic finale. Also when visiting this cave, plan to visit everything around it also 😊

The cave was stunning and massive. Book your tour time in advance. The tour guide was very professional and provided some great knowledge and insight. There was a very pleasant surprise in the light show, something I have not seen in any other caves. This show made it stand out from others

Good tour, interesting and informative. 12.00 tour in English, which was appreciated. The cave has been sympathetically maintained and has amazing features. Plenty of parking and under trees, super in this heatwave, along with the constant cool of the cave. Picnic tables but no food available to buy. The drive in through the gourge was awesome too.

An amazing cave to visit. The guide spoke only French but there was an audioguide available in English. The tour group was however a bit too big as you couldn't see probably what the guide pointed at and sometimes not even being on the same platform.

Very nice visit, a walk with a guide through large tunnels admiring all kinds of stone formations, a show of lights and music and illuminated natural tanks of water. Outside there is a little bar, toilets and some parkings. We didn't reserve and we had to wait for half an hour, and although it was not high season there was already a little crowd. A path starts at the cave for a panoramic walk up the hill above for a little tour in the nature.

Who is this cave for? For families with children who have never seen such places in their lives. Adults from the city who have no contact with nature will also feel good here. Someone who has had to do with travel in his life and is a traveler with a backpack and mountain boots will not find anything interesting here. Unfortunately, the nature of this place is spoiled by loud messages from the megaphone reminding you to start sightseeing, I understand that it is important that people do not miss an hour, but they are too invasive and we feel like at a train station. people serving very nice and friendly, they know what they sell and how to help with information.

It was very nice down there. The water pools were quite beautiful when lit up. There are lots of stairs, especially going up 🤭. The guide was very good at her job and entertaining.

Yelp
Supposedly this is one of the most beautiful caves in the Ardèche region. Although it's the only one I've visited, I do believe it lives up to the expectations that title arises. Tours are always guided and information is available in different languages. A tour takes longer than an hour and doesn't cost that much. It's 9,5 euros for adults and there is a student discount if you ask for it and if you can prove you are a student (so bring your cards)! The guide was moderately funny and quite informative. Inside there are various light and music shows, which add up to something really worth visiting.
