My wife and I were very excited to visit this restaurant. So much so we booked our table one month before to make sure we wouldn't miss it. We even sent a message during the reservation process saying how excited we were to celebrate our honeymoon there. To my disappointment, however, when we arrived we were placed in a table that was on an adjacent room to the main hall. There was no one else there other than another couple. This was extremely disappointing because part of the experience in this restaurant is to sit in the middle of the main hall and enjoy the vibe, the decour and the overall atmosphere. We asked to change tables, but we were told it wasn't possible because they were at full capacity. I am always very understanding about situations like that, but in this instance I felt they could have saved me a better spot since I booked the reservation one month ahead and made it clear a special situation. This kind of ruined the experience for us since dining in the other room provided the same atmosphere I would have had I ordered in for a delivery in my hotel room. Regarding the food, it was good and plentiful. The plates used simples ingredients, but were very well executed by the chef. The service was great. Although we were separate from the rest of the restaurant, our waiter was very attentive and was always around to serve us. This would have been a 5 stars experience if not for the table situation.

We had a great meal at Grottino 1313 during our stay in Lucerne. The salad and soup were excellent, and I absolutely loved the pasta. They are very accommodating of dietary restrictions (I am a vegetarian). The ambiance is also a plus, with a rustic and welcoming feel, and service was good as well. Would recommend!

A perfect spot for a romantic dinner. Rustic Italian vibes and interesting decor. Service and food were impeccable. Everything was to die for! Also very accommodating of allergies and dietary restrictions. Perfect for our engagement dinner!

Nice atmosphere, delicious food, good location. Chef Miquel was very attentive, have spent time to explain to my parent in law, who speak only French, about the menu and concept. Staff is friendly, polite. Recommending as a place that exceeded our expectations.

Good meal and lovely ambience. Generally expensive, even in Swiss terms. In particular, CHF19 for two carafes of tap water was astonishing. EDIT in response to reply - thank you for your response. I paid by credit card so if the CHF 19 was an error I would be grateful if you could credit it back to my card. SECOND EDIT: no further response regarding the water mistake unfortunately.

Hardy was our waiter. He was tremendous. Professional, attentive, and by far the best waiter of any restaurant I’ve ever been to. The food was also fantastic, particularly if you are a chef/foodie yourself and can appreciate depth of flavor, creativity, and understand how much work actually goes into creating the dishes that are served. If I find myself in Switzerland again this will be my first stop.

Wow. Knock my socks off with the cool, antique/ shabby chic, romantic, rustic, warmly lit, friendly decor in a warehouse neighborhood. Knock them off once more with the overly welcoming wait staff and “surprise” menu. Vegetarians prepare to be treated well. So much delicious food. Roasted beet and apple soup, lovely and not boring salad, vegetable pasta with peas, mushrooms, cheese… Main course with a divine sauce over some sort of lentil cake, potatoes, carrots, rosemary. We had to say no to one of the sour cherry and cream desserts because we were over satisfied and quite full. Of course there was a sweet message at the end that arrived with the bill. We cannot wait to come back.

We loved this place! The food was incredible and the price for a prefixed menu was extremely fair. We got wine and enjoyed a soup, salad, pasta course, main, and dessert for about $70 per person. This might be my favorite restaurant in the world. MUST COME HERE!

Yelp
We had reservations in advance so I'd recommend them on the weekend - it was Easter weekend for us. I only imagine this place is just as beautiful when the weather is nicer out. Ambiance is rustic - good for groups of 8 or less or even just two people. Warm and cozy space as if you were at home. It was a set menu with salad/soup, pasta, main and dessert and/or cheese for dinner. I loved the fact that it was family style. So I maybe wouldn't choose this place if you have picky eaters. The salad was fantastic. Loved the dressing. The soup for me was the selling point. We had a root vegetable soup that was aromatic, creamy, a slight kick. The pasta was a Bolognese where I loved the chilis that they added. For the main, they were serving veal on a risotto and carrots. The meat was tender and flavorful. The chocolate mousse was rich, creamy and the creme balanced out the sweetness. Now, my group finished eating and decided we'd come back for lunch a few days later because the menu is never the same. Lunch is a little different with dinner as you can choose either pasta or the business lunch. We opted to do two servings of business lunch and one of the pasta so we could recreate the similar family-esque dinner style. We had a potato soup with salmon bits for lunch. Next was a pesto pasta with garlic and ricotta cheese. Not that the Bolognese wasn't good, but I loved this pasta. So fresh, and the flavors melded so well. We had a beef cut with purple rice and veggies. I loved the Char on this cut of meat. And lastly for dessert, I had panna cotta with a rhubarb compote that was so creamy, not overly sweet and had maybe a twist with a hint of cinnamon? You really can't go wrong here. If I came back to Lucerne, I'd be back here! Service was stellar-we actually had the same waitress for both meal services and was phenomenal. She gave great wine recommendations.

Yelp
My sister recommended this restaurant for me and my wife. She set up the reservation for us. There's no menu....it's a set up course meal! They were FANTASTIC! Good was so GOOD! We are stuffed to the max! Great service too!! I highly recommend this restaurant!!!

Yelp
My husband and I went to Switzerland and Italy for 2 weeks and this was by far the best dining experience we had during our travels. We knew it was a set menu, making it more fun to be served what the Chef was preparing for the evening. The restaurant was lovely and quaint...the fire burning in the fireplace and the lit candles on the table made it the perfect setting. The food was delicious from the first course to the last. The service was fabulous (the "bye friends") from across the restaurant when we left made us wish we lived closer so we could go back weekly!

Yelp
Solid Italian food in an incredibly charming and rustic environment. The restaurant is off the beaten path but you will not be disappointed. Ask for the pasta special and homemade sorbet in between meals to clean your palette: highly recommended.

Yelp
This probably the best place I've ever been in Switzerland. It's an Italian restaurant with a wonderful concept. They don't have real menu, each day you would have different dishes. It would be 4-5 course dinner with a fix price and you can eat as much as you want. We had soup and salad as a starter, pasta with cream souse as a first dish, for the main course was polenta with beef, cheese plate and berry mousse. Everything was delicious! It's better to make a reservation in advance. We will come back here next time we are in Luzern.

Yelp
We had a wonderful time and the food was delicious. The staff was very hospitable and spoke English, which was nice for us. Recommend getting a reservation and sitting on the patio. Love the inside as well. A little bit off the beaten path, but worth it.

Yelp
Delicious and fun menu. Every coarse was brilliant and full of flavor. The menu changes every day and there is not a regular dinner menu. Some highlights we had were pumpkin soup, tuna spaghetti, and veal. Everything was really tasty. I thought they could improve on communication; we weren't sure what extras cost what so our bill was somewhat of a surprise in terms of what the wine cost and also the water is not free and is a little pricey. However, just ask about everything if you're unsure of the price. It is well worth the cost and may well be the most delicious meal you can find in the region.
