Grotto

It is one of the very magical places that always never disappoints. Georgian Bay throughout is beautiful, but the Bruce Peninsula Provincial Park is just amazing. Grotto is such a beautiful spot. Since it's such an amazing spot, now lots of people visit there because of its popularity. So reservation needs to be made in well in advance else it's not possible to visit this amazing place. We booked a day in advance. But it is better to book a few days in advance in the main summers. Parking and admission per person comes out to be a little expensive, around $16 parking and $7 per adult admission. Youth up to 17 years is free. Together, it gets a bit expensive, but it is still well worth seeing this amazing place. Still I really hope that we don't have to pay so much to visit the amazing places in Ontario. The hike from the parking lot where we parked to the Grotto was around 25 minutes. Very simple and easy walk. Once you reach closer to the Grotto area, the terrain could be difficult for people. But the view of blue green water and cave structures is just amazing. Water is usually cold but still people can swim in this very beautiful area.

Unbelievable experience at the Grotto at Bruce National Provincial Park.Make sure to make reservations at least one hour before you arrive.Also make sure you bring something to drink and have a good pair of hiking shoes.Definitely I crossed this off my bucket list.

Very beautiful place and must watch place in Tobermory and Ontario. The view is amazing and if you’re talented to go down to the grotto actual spot it is really a worth the steps you’re taking. No words to say about the place and the views from the top and water.

You must visit this place, Grotto, when you are in Tobermory! It has some of the most amazing views and scenery you will ever see. You can reserve a timed (4-hour) parking spot ahead of time on the Parks Canada website. The parking lot is not crowded. The trail is about a 20-minute walk one way and a 20-minute walk back, and it is totally fun with kids. My 12- and 9-year-olds had no problem. It is a beautiful place that you will remember for a lifetime! * The washroom near the front entrance is better than the one near the Grotto.

This is a lovely, albeit very busy, natural spot. It is necessary to prebook your parking a long time before your visit or to book a camping spot. The walk out to the shoreline is relatively easy if you take the Georgian Bay Trail, But have your lead hiker on the lookout for rattlesnakes …. we had one cross the path in front of our party. It was neat to see at a safe distance. The hike from the trail to the grotto is more difficult …. wear sturdy shoes for the uneven ground at the lakeshore.

The hike was fun until the rocks came, make sure you take each step carefully. Reserve your parking spot and enjoy up to 4 hours hiking and hanging out at the Grotto. You can take the longer way around the whole area (totaling about 2.3 miles).

Grotto is one of the top attractions on bruce peninsula very close to tobbermory. You have to walk to the attraction as its part of the National park. Plus you need to buy pass to enter the park in advance from parks Canada.

Very stunning. The lake near the shore is very blue. The trail also has several routes of varying difficulty. It takes about 20 minutes to walk to the Grotto shore to enjoy the view.
