Cool vibe, My drink was delicious and refreshing. I had some sort of limeade with jelly’s which was fantastic. They even bring free popcorn to your table to snack on. also our server/ cashier at the front was super sweet and funny! cool place, would comeback!

A perfect aesthetic cafe 🫶🏻 their staff was friendly. You will get a welcome treat as a cute popcorn bucket 🫰🏻. I’ve tried their chocolate malt espresso affogato it was lil too sweet for me ( im not a sweet tooth type person at all 😅). Overall, my experience was really good 😌 would love to try their menu soon♥️

Google
One of the best Milktea and Tea place here in Mississauga. Staffs are amazing and very helpful. The aesthetic ambience is amazing. 100% must try if you are looking for a good spot and drinks with family and friends.

I used to go to Green Grotto a lot when I lived nearby. I’m so glad I was in the area because this place has such a cozy atmosphere. It’s a great place to hangout with friends or even study/work. We ordered the Longan Honey Iced Green Tea (5/5), the Passion Fruit Aloe Vera Drink (5/5) and the Matcha Shaved Ice (5/5). They also gave out popcorn to snack on while we waited for our order. Both drinks were refreshing which were perfect to cool us down in the hot summer weather. The Matcha Shaved Ice was presented beautifully. The shaved ice itself was velvety smooth and creamy. The toppings to shaved ice ratio was well-balanced. We really enjoyed how this dessert wasn’t overly sweet unlike other shaved ice we’ve had. The red bean and the vanilla ice cream were what added the layer of sweetness to this dish. The mochi QQ balls were so soft and had a perfect chewiness to them. The server we had was patient and helpful. She even put our drink in a to-go cup when we couldn’t finish it. I would recommend going to this place for some drinks and snacks if ever you’re in the area.

What a great surprise spot. A few friends took me here for an after meal dessert and wow was my initial reaction. Great vibe, delicious options. Love the variations. First time seeing a taro espresso affogoto, so I had to get it! Asked for the icream on the side. Everything was delish. The service was spot on. They accommodated my request and also gave me a to go cup when leaving as I wanted to share some of my drink with my wife. The 5 spice chicken nuggets were spot on. Now I know where to get it locally when I have a craving for them! I will definitely be back to try the food and other drinks/desserts. We also loved the couches in the middle of the place. Super cozy. Just the couches reminded us of Central Perk from Friends. Lol. Also really great interior design and vibe. I'll definitely be back a bunch of times.

Dropped by with some homies, and tried out their sausage with minced pork & egg dish. Filled with flavor and very filling, I paired it with iced coconut milk tea, we also had their salt and pepper chicken, and Three cup boneless chicken dishes.

Yelp
=== 1. VERDICT/VALUE 3.5 to 4 stars - it's a solid place to go for Taiwanese food - the downside for me is portion size: it's a little small, but the lower prices make up for it! === 2. FOOD Note: you get a small tin of lightly-salted popcorn when you place an order - tasty! Hokkaido Roasted Milk Tea ($7.29) with lychee jelly (+$1) If you like a roasted flavour, you'll like how this tea tastes - pretty decent! Three Cup Chicken Rice ($14.99) So if you're hungry, you may want to plan to order a dish plus appetizer, or perhaps two dishes. The portion size (rice, a side dish of thinly-sliced pickled vegetables, and entree) is a little on the small side. For this dish in particular, it was interesting to see how so much ginger and garlic are packed into the bowl: nearly half and the other half is dark meat chicken. Not sure I would want to order this again where nearly half the entree is ginger and garlic cloves. === 3. SERVICE You order with your phone, scanning a QR code on the table which launches a website to order food. Based on the speed of service and bill payment experience (at the counter) - it was alright. === 4. ENVIRONMENT As other Yelpers have mentioned - it's a neat place / lounge to hang out: the music, medium-lit environment makes it a cozy place to chat with friends or get work done on a laptop.I would probably keep my group to 8 or fewer people, but those with wheelchairs and baby strollers can find a place easily. Parking is plentiful in the shopping complex lot outside.

Yelp
Green Grotto is one of the few cafes in Mississauga where you can come to chill. It's a great place to get some work done or hang out with friends while having some bubble tea and snacks. The service is always great and consistent, as is the food. This is definitely becoming a favourite for us and will be back regularly.

Yelp
Not sure why the reviews are so low, my friend and I visited tonight and everything was awesome! They start you off with free popcorn. Both of our drinks (Hokkaido oolong milk tea & grapefruit jasmine iced tea) were made perfectly and had very generous portions. However, the food surprised us the most by how good it was! I got the minced pork over dry soy noodle bowl and she got the minced pork and popcorn chicken combo meal. The food was delicious and the servings were so generous we were so stuffed and couldn't even finish our food. Dry noodle bowl tasted just like a home cooked meal. The popcorn chicken was so crunchy and stayed crunchy even after sitting for an hour. The flavors and atmosphere are so comforting. I went spent around $27 each for our two items. Seems like the perfect late night casual date spot or study spot as we noticed a lot of couples and students. Overall would highly recommend and will definitely be returning!

Yelp
Came here for drinks and desserts to catch up with some friends. They had plently of seating and with an extensive menu, there were lots of choose from. Nothing particularly outstanding in terms of flavour - cakes and drinks were just okay. Service was friendly. Would come back if you're looking for a guaranteed space to just hang out with friends for a few hours.

Valerie D.

Yelp
A great place to study. They have good drink and snack selections (drink sizes are big too). Atmosphere is cute and they play a lot of kpop/radio music if that's what u like. They give u popcorn which is nice! All tables have access to outlets and there is wifi. Only downside is it's popular and gets busy and there might not be seating

Ricky C.

Yelp
Drinks are watered down but the atmosphere is great. The tabkes are small and the lighting is rematic, good for first date or first time goers. Rices are pricy for the amlunt you are getting so eat beforehand and just come here to chat. The popcorn chicken is supurb here. Better than Bubble Republics and sugar marmalade's

Yelp
I came here last weekend. It was my second time coming here and I had a really great experience (both times). This time we ordered: - Breaded Calamari Rings - Cuttlefish Balls - Braised Beef Brisket w/ Rice - Curry Chicken Rice I really enjoyed the beef brisket - the sauce was very tasty and the beef was so tender. My bf liked the curry chicken although he said he would prefer it if it had a bit more salt. The stars for us were definitely the snack items though. We both loved the calamari rings - the breading was so yummy and very crispy and the cuttlefish balls were also very yummy. Aside from the food, the service was also really great. We also get a complimentary popcorn for free which was awesome! My favourite thing about this spot is the atmosphere - the design and ambiance create such a nice vibe that makes this spot a really great spot to hang out with friends or to enjoy by yourself to study or just chill in a cute cafe. Will definitely be coming back in the future!

Yelp
Love a good cafe where you can laugh, play games and chill with friends or do some work? This is right up your alley! I was here a month ago with my boyfriend and our friends to play card games. I used to go here in high school every now and then. It was so nice coming back and staying a little longer. The employees are so nice especially the one who served us. I ordered a regular strawberry slush with no sugar, coconut jelly and tapioca. It was sooo refreshing and needed on a hot day! I don't usually crave to have tapioca in my bubble tea but their tapioca is soft and well made. I really enjoyed my experience here. We stayed until 10 or 11pm which was great and we had a fun time. Definitely will be coming back here again when i'm around!

Maya L.

Yelp
Came here for a drink and shared a dessert with a friend. I got the malt almond milk tea and we shared a taro butter toast. I enjoyed the drink at the start, however the bottom of the drink had alot of Sediment. The toast was nice, however I usually prefer the toast to be more toasted. I also thought the tarp butter could be more smooth. Other than that the cafe had a nice ambiance and the servers were friendly.

Yelp
Surprisingly impressed with the new crepe cakes!!!!! What i ordered: Charcoal taro crepe cake Rainbow rose crepe cake New menu, new items. And i loooooooved the rainbow rose one. If you've read my reviews, you know im a big fan of millie crepe cake esp from a particular place. And ever since, none of the crepe cakes ive had live up to that standard. But i was impressed with this!! The rose flavour was just right and not too sweet. Cake was fluffly enough. The charcoal taro was was good too. Im just not a big fan of that fake taro flavour. But my friends liked it. Definitely recommend! Service was always meh here. But today i tried to get attention for 20 mins, i waved, i danced and still, no one would come over to our table by the door. Well, it ure gna forget you have customers there, maybe you shouldnt place a table there...

Ivana L.

Yelp
Came in for three drink order. The dining experience is a bit odd during COVID. On entry you place your order, all orders are served in takeout containers. All orders with dine in do not come with complimentary popcorn. I guess the good thing is that takeout orders do get discounted here. I did see something odd. The cafe is organized for social distancing but when cleaning the table, I just saw the table cleared and spray sanitizer not....wiped down for debris and stuck on food. It seems today some places are really set on sanitizing but not cleaning anymore?

Crystal N.

Yelp
Great place to hang out with friends, chat and play cards. They have a wide selection of sweet and savory goods! I like their selection of hot drinks / teas and cold drinks. I got the hot almond malt black tea. Even though they said it isn't sweet, I definitely felt like it was naturally sweetened on its own! My friend got the Hokkaido milk tea and he said it was good. We shared the takoyaki (good toppings and nice filling) which was regular... and the hot asian dessert (with qq balls, grass jelly, brown sugar, taro and sweet potato balls) which was pretty decent. It was good with added evaporated milk! Better than some of the other asian dessert places downtown. Overall good vibes. I liked their back ground music hehe.

Yelp
My rating is 3.5 stars. I had an unusual experience at Green Grotto. I need to provide some context. My friend and I were going to Cavalia on a Friday night. The show started at 19:30. We needed a place to grab a bite before the show. She recommended coming here. I was game. I picked her up from her workplace at 17:00 and we headed over. This eatery is in the same plaza as Winners. I already knew that I would be coming back. I parked and we walked in. It wasn't too busy, but we had to wait for a table to be cleaned off. We sat in the waiting area and admired the coziness of the place. There were books and magazines that seemed like a decent place to hang out. While sitting there, I checked in on Yelp. Our table was ready, so we moved over there. The menu is in a magazine format, which was creative and cool. We got complementary popcorn as we figured out what we wanted to order. One of the staff members asked if one of us was Mary. I said that I was. He got an "urgent call" for me on the eatery's phone. That was odd, as only my friend and I knew that I was here. I took the call. Some guy, who wasn't articulate, said that that he was a manager who had to "cancel [my] membership." I asked him I repeat and clarify. He tried, but was incoherent. I then ended the call and handed the cordless receiver to the staff person. My word of caution pertains to checking in on Yelp at this location. Obviously, this person had nothing better to do but take a look at check-ins, call this location, and waste my time. Anyway, my friend and I ordered the salt and pepper chicken (we opted to have it without rice), and Taiwanese fried rice noodles. We had wanted some other noodle dish, but the place was out of it. As for drinks, I went with an iced mango green tea with tapioca. My friend had requested a drink that was also unavailable and went with an iced matcha drink with jelly. I liked my drink. It was refreshing and yummy. She enjoyed herself, too. We both loved the salt and pepper chicken. Delicious! The fried rice noodles were different. It was okay in my books. It wasn't horrible, but it didn't wow me. For dessert, I wanted to give the tiramisu dessert a try. Guess what? It was unavailable. See a trend? My friend and I ordered the matcha crepe cake and chocolate truffle cake. We then attempted to use a knife to split them. Thank goodness we aren't surgeons! Both desserts were amazing! Two thumbs up from me. I love the cozy atmosphere of this place. Washrooms are clean. My friend had a rewards card. I don't know how it works here, but it's an app. You can definitely do takeout for all your bubble tea and food needs. Just be cautious about checking in. (172)

Yelp
The green grotto is s nice sto in. Prices are 6 to 7.50 though most of the beverage are pretty easy to do if you wanted to make them. As they're feature, they serve complimentary popcorn, its powdered butter not real butter. The drink service is fast, because its just assembly work. But it was a bit annoying our orders were mistimed, would ne nice for the whole order to come out the same time. Kitchen closes at 12.30am so no food orders are possible at that time. This experience was like the Asian starbucks. Lighting is dim, service is fast. Now as much as I enjoyed the experience, it did stick out to me the use of disposable cups in a dine in setting and the use of plastic straws. Not only that, a cardboard cozy was also added on the cup with a green grotto sticker. I've been to other green grottos in Markham, they serve in glass. So...why is this different?

Nick P.

Yelp
Updated Review: I used to love this place. They have a HUGE menu of drinks. Unfortunately I think this is the issue now. When they are constantly changing it, it has become a somewhat hit or miss. And when I order food from the "featured" section, I don't expect it to be the most "meh" thing on the menu. The chicken tossed noodle was extremely plain and oily and had barely any chicken and next to no flavor in it. The strawberry bobo was ok but WAY too sweat. The roasted hakkaido milk tea is great tho and the toast was delicious.

Ber B.

Yelp
When you first enter, they greet you with a Japanese greeting and get you seated very quickly While you wait they have like a bookshelf that you can pick magazines from and read. Which is good. Servers were polite. Those are the only reasons they get a 2 stars I didn't really appreciate the taste of our orders. Blend taste‍ Portions were small. And price feels not worthy of it for the taste and portion. Won't visit there again. Make your own judgement yourself that was only my experience.

Kimi K.

Yelp
Whenever I go to Mississauga for bbt, I usually find myself here. The drinks are always good. Tasteful, not too sweet. I absolutely love the strawberry frothie (basically hot strawberry milk with some wafer crumbs). In regards to their food, it's ok. I usually order off the top 10 list the have in the menu and usually find something I like. This time, I decided on the sausage with minced pork and rice bowl. To my disappointment, the sausage pieces were so hard! It was actually difficult to eat. All in all, the atmosphere is nice, chill. It was one of the places I like to come to study or just hang out with friends. Plus the unlimited popcorn is always a bonus

Sean N.

Yelp
I know there are a lot of lower stars here but I have it a 5 star coz my visit was good. So first of there wasn't a huge crowd. The equates to me and my friends being seated quickly, and get serviced quickly. I had the maccha and red bean milk freeze, my friend had a kumquat lemon ice tea with 1/4 sugar, and we shared a chocolate pistachio crunch mouse. I had no problems with my drink and my friend enjoyed hers. The mouse was good and the split was a good snack size. The interior is modern, with a low light ambience. Lot of plugs where people can charge their phones or laptop. On a not so busy day, this would be a good place to chill and talk with friends. Can't say the same if it was busy though. Another place iv been to that I'd similar to this is sugar marmalade. The latter can get busy a lot so this could be an alternate.

Yelp
We were already in our way to Chatime when we suddenly remembered Green Grotto is now open in Mississauga! For the longest time Bubble Republic was the only option here in Mississauga - unless you really wanted Bubble Tease (but why?) or to the mall for Ten Rens. The atmosphere was different! So used to cha time and BR being so bright. Much more spacious, modernized and upscale in comparison. A nice place to hang out, catch up or attempt to study. If you've never been, think Asian Starbucks haha. There were an assortment or pastries and La Rocca cakes on display. No menus on display from what I could see (unless I totally missed it - sorry!) The drinks? They were OK. Nothing really wooed me. Our order: sesame black milk tea w/ grass jelly , and Honey Dew slush w/ tapioca Where was all the grass jelly? There was barely any in my drink compared to what you get at Chatime and BR. Maybe this was just a one off? The slush was meh. Never really been a fan of slush, BR chillers all the way! Only got it because BF super wanted something icy and honeydew. Aaaaand mostly because we were so I've Chatime being out of tapioca. Verdict: If I had to choose, I'd come here if it's a study occasion, to catch up, or hang out. For take out drinks solely? Definitely prefer Chatime.

Darryl C.

Yelp
This a good place to go to for dessert and to hang out with friends and play card games. It can get fairly busy though and you might have to get your drinks/dessert to go. We usually order the salt and pepper chicken and you must get one of their drinks, considering the variety they have to choose from. You can get anything from bubble tea, iced tea, aloe vera, and chia drinks, just to name a few. They also have a variety of desserts to choose from such as a green tea crepe cake and a selection of mini La Rocca cakes. A bucket of popcorn is also given to every table which is a nice touch. The service is very hit or miss, regardless if it is busy or not. There are times where the servers are fast and efficient and also times where you're waiting for a while just for water or to place an order.

Yush H.

Yelp
Really neat little spot. Was looking for some Taiwanese food while in Canada. This was the closest to me. The decor is very trendy, like what you would see at trendy cafes in Taiwan. The salt and pepper chicken was fried perfectly and didnt taste too oily. Nice and crisp though lightly breaded on the outside and juicy on the inside. The seasoning was just right. The 3 cup chicken was very good, although it didnt taste like your traditional 3 cup chicken. It tasted more like a standard braised chicken 红燒. There also wasn't any thai basil in either dish like they're supposed to have. But the food was still delicious and came out super quickly. They also had other taiwanese staples like braised pig's feet, minced pork with rice, chicken leg meals, etc... Would highly recommend if you're craving some Taiwanese food.

Brianne R.

Yelp
This is one of my favourite places to grab bubble tea. Their drinks are consistently great, the employees are always friendly, and I really appreciate the diverse options in terms of drinks and food. I'm always on the hunt for a great grape green tea, and they make the list! (I will update with a photo when I can!)

Trudy N.

Yelp
Delivery is available on UberEats. Highly recommend less sugar on Okinawa Brown Sugar Milk Tea as it's quite overly sweet with full sugar. Pudding milk tea comes with jelly-like pudding, not the regular soft egg/milk pudding like other bbt places.

Jay L.

Yelp
Nothing should surprise me about the Green Grotto's that dot across the GTA. They provide a very consistent experience in dining, drinks, atmosphere, and service. It's a good thing! We came here to pick up some drinks early in the afternoon to enjoy with some friends. It was not busy at all. Staff took our orders quite quickly and we just sat in the dining room utnil they were ready. The drinks tasted as they expected. All is well. :-)

Nikki M.

Yelp
Not coming back here ever. I've been here twice and both experiences were the same - AWFUL. The line up at this place was massive. It was about a 30 minute wait. For what? Mediocre food... The service was also super slow. I don't know what's worse dial up internet or Green Grotto's service. Just to order, took about 15 mins and to get your food was another 20-25 mins. I ordered the Wintermelon black tea and I wanted large tapioca but the server told us that they ran out of the large and small tapioca. Freal? How does a bubble tea place run out of tapioca though... =/ Ugh. We also ordered a Lychee Green Tea with Mango Jelly, Takoyaki and Braised Pork on Rice with Egg. The food was overpriced and tasted okay... Overall, the service and the food was unpleasant. Never coming back.

Philip P.

Yelp
Delicious food and drinks. Braise pork on rice is definitely my favourite . Five stars to the Chef ‍

Priscilla W.

Yelp
Situated in the heart of Mississauga is this awesome Taiwanese BBT joint. This location is a lot smaller and darker than the one in Scarborough so it isn't really my go-to place if I ever crave for BBT but the drinks are quite good but more expensive than other BBT places. Several friends and I went on a Friday evening at 7:30pm and the place was packed! We waited for about 15 minutes to get seats, but unfortunately we couldn't get a table but instead a couch with a coffee table, which was still nice but it got a little uncomfortable after awhile. My go-to drink is the Taro Milk tea with no sugar and tapioca! It was delicious and I like that it didn't taste powdery, unlike other places. Regular sizes are ~$5.99 and it is $0.50 more for a large size. Again, it was a little on the the pricier side. However, I can definitely justify the prices though because they give you popcorn after you order and unlimited refills. The wifi is strong and fast. No wonder everyone there was working on their laptop. I guess there's no time limit to how long you can stay there, hence the turnover is quite slow. At around 9pm, different groups of people came in to get seats, but unfortunately, they decided to leave because people inside weren't leaving. TIP: Make sure you come in early evening if you want to get a seat! The service was great. The waitresses there were friendly. Another TIP: 10% if you order takeout! Overall, the place has nice decor and has lots of magazines for you to read if you just want to hang out there. I would definitely come back if I needed to do some work there. It is nice and quiet during the day. But I just wish that it could be brighter inside.

Jo N.

Yelp
Pretty nice place for bubble tea or cakes. Cozier than bubble republic and chatime. There's free wifi here if you want to do work. Dine in drinks and food come with complementary popcorn. Appetizers are good but nothing unique, the typical Taiwanese appetizers. I usually order their cuttlefish balls and popcorn chicken. Whereas for the rice dishes, the pork on rice is ok. But I prefer the rice dishes from bubble republic better. The cakes here are not made in house. They are bought from another store. They taste meh. They don't seem fresh and kinda taste old and stale. Avoid. As for drinks, they have a decent variety. I think the selection is still smaller than bubble republic. But this is my favourite place to get the wintermelon tea and the wintermelon mousse. These drinks are usually really sweet. Most of the time I order half sweet or 70% sweet. They make this drink perfectly whereas for some places it tastes really watered down. Hokkaido milk is delicious here. It's creamy with the right amount of sugar. White peach bubble tea was horrible. Did not like it. The hot fruit tea here is good too. Warm yet refreshing. Service wise, this place is horrible. It's really slow.

Michelle J.

Yelp
Green Grotto differs from Sugar Marmalade primarily based on its vibe for me. I enjoy the relaxed, café vibe of Green Grotto. You never feel rushed, and the various seating (sofas, tables, booths) suits whatever mood you're in. The complimentary bucket of popcorn is a nice touch. Desserts are great here too! The mango crepe cake is a personal fave, as is the condensed milk toast. A nice thick slice with a great balance of sweet and salty! I haven't tried any of the savoury items yet, so can't comment on that. I like that they are organized in billing take out and dine in as some other places often make take out customers wait unnecessarily long, but I've never had that experience here

Annie L.

Yelp
Nice and quiet atmosphere for work. Free internet and outlets for charger. Drink selection is pretty big and a food and snack menu as well

Jenn S.

Yelp
We ordered the Spicy Crispy Squid and Salt and Pepper Chicken, all great! The squid was SO good! Would definitely recommend that. We also got the Lychee Iced Green Tea, which was good and a Honeydew Black Milk Tea, which tasted more like strong black tea than honewdey. I would like to try other flavours later but as a first opinion, we were not impressed with the bubble tea. Lastly, we got a Mango Berry Cheesecake and a Creme Brulee Cheesecake. They both tasted okay, but I thought the prices were very expensive for 2 slices! 4 stars because of the squid.

Amy Y.

Yelp
--- Food--- First time coming here with my friend. I ordered the popular Hokkaido Milk Tea with Tapioca (around $6). And my friend ordered a Oreo milkshake with Tapioca (same price). It was great that I was able to request no sugar and no ice for my drink. The bubble tea was quite tasty! The tapioca sizes were irregular - some very small so it made chewing on it feel quite weird. The milk tea itself was decent. However, I think I would definitely choose Chatime for their bubble tea. The milk tea has a more authentic taste and their tapioca sizes are chewy and tasty as well! It is also less pricey at Chatime too! Note: All drinks for take-out are 15% off. And payments less than $10 is cash only. --- Atmosphere --- The interior design is really nice!!! It's a great place to hang out with friends. I think they provide free-wifi and charging outlets for people whom are studying as well. --- Summary --- I will come back to try their food! They have an assortment of Taiwanese food on their menu that looks really tasty.

Yelp
I decided to catch up with a friend over some BBT at Green Grotto because I have never visited them before and they are relatively new. When we arrived at 7 pm it wasn't very busy yet so we were able to be seated at a table. By the time we left (around 10 pm) it was packed. The waitress was friendly and provided recommendations on snacks to my friend. We both ended up ordering a small hot frothy milk tea. The strawberry frothy milk tea was alright but nothing amazing where I would want to order it again. It kind of reminded me of medicine. Every table comes with a free can of popcorn that you can snack on while you are there. Would I go here again? Most likely not in the near future because I prefer Chatime which is down the road. Btw, you will smell like the food being cooked in the shop when you leave. It's quite strong.

Vivian L.

Yelp
Love this bubble tea shop! Green grotto has a very nice and comfortable atmosphere and definitely a place where you can relax and have a drink. The drinks here are good and the food as well. They give out free popcorn which is very unique and cool. The service was great and the workers were also very kind. This is a great place to go on a small cute date ~ I would definitely recommend to a friend!

Yelp
In comparison to my visit back in January, I had a much better impression during this visit. This time, I brought my laptop to do some studying. I sat on the chairs and I'm thinking that the booths would be slightly more comfortable. Still, in comparison to Starbucks, the padded chairs are much more comfortable. I feel as though SB, and other cafés, purposely use stiff and uncomfortable chairs so that you don't stay that long! ;) Ordered the White Peach Oolong Tea (lg, iced, with pearls) and the Hokkaido Milk Tea (sm, also iced) and it had a nice floral taste to it, similar to Jasmine Tea. Both drinks were quite refreshing on a humid Sunday afternoon and not too sweet which I love! Free wifi was FAAAST...unlike SB/other places that offer this service. As mentioned by other reviewers, this is probably the nicest BBT lounge in the city. It is slightly a bit dark for studying, a bit loud, but definitely not as loud as other cafés/bbt places. Would definitely be back, dine it/out!

Yelp
Not a native Mississaugan (is that a word? It is now!), but I stumbled upon this place by accident while visiting shoppers drug mart close-by. Generally, I'd rate this as a 3.5 star place, not quite enough to push it to 4 stars. I had their equivalent of a happy hour combo ($9.99), which is great value for money if you are a small eater or just grazing (see pic but disregard the popcorn). You get a small pork on rice with a choice of snack ( I chose salt/pepper chicken) and a small drink (I chose honey green tea). The rice bowl was tasty (meat was a bit fatty), albeit garlicky, so you might want to consider having mints/gum handy. The nuggets were a tad bland for my liking, but passable. The green tea was actually done just the way I wanted it, half sweet/less ice. Arguably the best part of the combo :) Back to the popcorn - free appy to munch on while waiting for food. What a nice touch! I have nothing bad to say about the ambiance or service: friendly staff, industrial-ish decor (wood/steel), free WiFi... However, something feels off to me. I cant pinpoint it, nor do I want to pick on it, but maybe it's the vibe. I think the combo of the industrial-ish decor and the jazzy elevator background music with English lyrics just doesn't resonate with me when I'm in a taiwanese bubble tea restaurant. Okok, first world problems, I know...but I'm missing the mando/Canto/jap/korean-pop! Overall I enjoyed my meal, the space is pleasant , but wouldn't go out of my way to come back unless it's on the way.

Yelp
This cozy little tea shop near square one area has a nice selection of bubble tea, flavoured tea and food. They provide unlimited popcorn while you are seated, a first for a bubble tea shop! And it's not crowded on weekdays which is a win in my book. Come in for a tea session, to catch up with friends or to have a casual meeting. I think I like the ambience here over other places because it's less noisy, the staff are friendly and patient. I'd recommend it for the less diehard fans but the discerning customer who prefers a casual outing.

Yelp
It's almost a known fact that you don't go to Green Grotto solely for their food and their drinks; you're going for the atmosphere and the convenience and this was the case when we stepped in here. That being said, I've always been a fan of Green Grotto tea rooms. It really is a nice place to relax, socialize with friends, and just do your own thing. We were out on a Saturday night looking for a dessert/snack and other places were packed so we came to Green Grotto and didn't have to wait at all to be seated. The service here was actually pleasant and really friendly to my surprise. While I wouldn't order any full meals, the snacks are decent here. We went for their (popcorn) salt and pepper chicken and it was straight out from the fryer. It was moderately crispy, and dusted with the chinese 'salt and pepper' - you can taste the mild hint of the sweetness coming from the five spice. It's very aromatic in a good way! The chicken grew on me as I kept on eating it. We went with their hot brown sugar ginger grass jelly for the dessert and it was also pretty decent except for the fact that it wasn't as hot as we would have liked. Funnily we asked for hot water which was boiling hot (not our intent, but it worked) and adding that to the dessert immediately made it warmer and diluted the sugar water in a totally acceptable way (it was quite concentrated with ginger and sugar). The taro balls were good and chewy but their sweet potato and taro could have been steamed a bit longer as it was on the harder side.

Yelp
I've been here a handful of times with my friends and often are able to snag a seat. If you call ahead, you're often able to make a reservation which is what we usually do after dinner as we've found it to get pretty busy in the evening. It's quite spacious inside and it's a dimly lit cafe that can get loud as it fills up. I've never gotten takeout, only ever sat down, and you receive complementary popcorn as you're waiting for your drinks. I've had the salt and pepper chicken which is quite nice (deep fried chicken bites)! In terms of bubble tea drinks, I've always gotten ones with grass jelly as I looove it! It seems to me that they sort of give you half the can as the chunks are quite large. I've tried the aiyu jelly as well, but none of the servers could really explain in English what it tasted like and was offered a sample of it before ordering. (It's kind of sweet and semi-firm!) Overall, it's a great place to hang and enjoy time with friends. We often bring board games with us to pass the time, they don't mind!

Yelp
Didn't know this location existed. Found this bubble tea location after eating some delicious Pho. If you're looking for a manly, hipster, modernized lounge bubble tea shop with free wifi this is your place. What I loved the most about this place is the creative menu, the free pop corn, numerous updated magazines and yummy deserts. What I didn't like about this place, service was slow even though my girlfriend and I totalled of 5 customers in the store. The service was lacking. I believe the area may have a homeless issue, a random guy was sleeping in the front of the shop on their couches. Maybe I'll come back...

Yelp
The place is a nice sized place. There were plenty of seating as this place does not seem overwhelming busy. We went for dinner but this place is definitely more of a desert place that serves some mains and snakes. We ordered the octopus balls which was perhaps the worse octopus balls id have, the salt and pepper chicken which was alright, the green curry chicken rice dish which was pretty good as it came with rice, minced pork and a soy egg, and we also ordered some cold grass jelly desert which i was craving after seeing the picture but it did not taste as good as i imagined. The tapioca was too sticky and all stuck together giving a clumpy texture to the entire desert. It also tasted like black licorice.

Yelp
First time for us to try this place last night. They gave us a little bucket of popcorn for free after we ordered. I Don't eat octopus but they said the takoyaki was yummy. I ate the fried squid and chicken and they were both delicious. Tried both roasted milk tea and Hokkaido milk tea and those were good too. Their menu has so much stuff in it so we will go back and try the other stuff.

Yelp
Been there countless times already and they have been consistent with the food & service! Must try's 1) HOKKAIDO MILK TEA!!!!!!! 2) Lunch special (minced pork, one appetizer, one drink) for only 10$ 3) TAKOYAKI 6.99$ And yay! for complimentary popcorn & free WIFI!!! Tried ordering the taiwanese sausage, it tasted really good but it comes on a really small serving for a $5 appetizer. They have matcha mille crepe (with red bean) and the original mille crepe which tasted okay. The crepe though can be thick compared to other authentic millie crepe. I am a regular customer. Hope they have this points system where if you get certain points youll get free drink (like Bubble Republic, and Chatime). But overall, they have great service & great food!!!!

Yelp
I live near this location so it's a frequent stop for me. The food is great but the service is somewhat slow, even during non-busy times. They offer complimentary popcorn while you wait, you will soon know why when it takes 20 minutes for your food to be prepared. My signature order is Lu Rou Fan (minced pork on rice), popcorn chicken, and a slush/smoothie I'm in the mood for. The chicken portion is pretty small, I would hope they consider increasing the size. Sugar Marmalade has double the amount for the same price on their popcorn chicken. The minced pork is probably better here than most places, I really like it. My typical drink order is a strawberry slush with large tapioca, but I find that they give you a lot less slush when you get tapioca, so I would recommend asking for a second cup for the overflow or opting out of ordering those juicy pearls. A huge perk is they offer free wifi!

Yelp
Ambiance.: good, quiet.. Easy to talk with your friends Drinks: Good, yummy in fact Food: just ok Service: snoozeville, not sure how many follow ups needed to get your order

Yelp
I have to give it a 1 star due to the way they cheat their customer! Everything you want to order - everything should be in large size! and you can see they have small size/cup available! That's not the way to earn money! honesty is still the best policy! 2 times I went there, every time I order, they always say it should be in large size! This is highway robbery! It's not about the money! It's about honesty and principle!

Yelp
Painfully mediocre. The takoyaki were weirdly chewy and the cakes had a funny texture. Lastly, the bubble teas leaned on the sweet side which I'm not a fan of personally.
