How beautiful!!! Andrea and her partner/s have brought such a beautiful concept to fruition! Your goals and process are so valuable, exciting and appreciated by me for one! Oh, and beyond delicious! Thank you for making your life’s focus something so positive, stabilizing, healthy and nutritious for the greater community! You have worked so diligently and it shows! A beautiful facility, well run and growing. Excellent presentation of your product. We attended the pasta making class and it was fun, informative, kind and generous and a joy to eat! Stay strong and healthy and all the best on your continued success. 😊🌾

I’m so glad this place was recommended to me by the owner of my old grain supplier, Beerology, which decided to close its Northhampton shop and relocate to Japan. Ground up has an extensive menu of grains for home brewers, distillers and bakers and I also look forward to taking a class there - probably the pasta making class to start. Online ordering is easy. The ONLY reason I’m not rating five stars is because there are only two days - Tuesday and Friday - to pick up orders (shipping costs more, of course) and most of the grains I use have to be milled at home. Hope that doesn’t seem picky, but I’d much prefer not having to do that myself. That said, it’s a terrific business that locally sources their products, is active in the community and practices sustainability, including the packaging. Also, their prices are very reasonable. It’s so satisfying to be able to support a great local business rather than get what I need shipped across many state lines.

Great locally grown and milled flours. They even have a subscription service so I always have fresh flour at home.

The Grain Train was parked outside their Mill and we stopped in for a quick sandwich. Holy Malt Balls!! It was unreal. I will be back in Holyoke In a few week and i'm going touring my family to try the other sandwiches.
