I’m so glad this place was recommended to me by the owner of my old grain supplier, Beerology, which decided to close its Northhampton shop and relocate to Japan. Ground up has an extensive menu of grains for home brewers, distillers and bakers and I also look forward to taking a class there - probably the pasta making class to start.
Online ordering is easy.
The ONLY reason I’m not rating five stars is because there are only two days - Tuesday and Friday - to pick up orders (shipping costs more, of course) and most of the grains I use have to be milled at home. Hope that doesn’t seem picky, but I’d much prefer not having to do that myself.
That said, it’s a terrific business that locally sources their products, is active in the community and practices sustainability,
including the packaging. Also, their prices are very reasonable.
It’s so satisfying to be able to support a great local business rather than get what I need shipped across many state lines.
