Grove Grocer

What an epic, wonderful and accommodating experience I had this morning. I loved walking in and browsing all the uniquely curated items in the shop, from the different meats and cheeses, to the chocolates and jams and sauces. But what really did it for me was the service that the wonderful barista, Max, provided to me from beginning to end. He truly showcased the coffee and made it a captivating experience for someone like myself who adores, lives and breathes coffee. (Please promote this man and give him a substantial raise too!!) I was extremely impressed to see that Grove Grocer served SEY coffee from Brooklyn as well. The coffee was so incredibly dialed in - in latte AND espresso form. I would’ve loved to try it in pourover form, but the grinder for pourovers was being serviced. I was wowed with how professional and knowledgeable Max was about the coffee being served, how to make an incredible cup of coffee, as well as all of his knowledge of the coffee in Miami. I ended off my experience (because I drank coffee and chatted at the bar for probably almost an hour) with a hot chocolate topped with house-made whipped cream for the road, which I will continue to daydream about for the next month. Cannot wait to return to Grove Grocer!

I came here to try the matcha and I was not disappointed. The store itself is so cute and simple. Then you have the cafe at the front and I got a matcha with honey and almond milk. It was one of the best matchas i have had in my life. It wasn’t too sweet or too grassy. Perfect balance with the honey as well. The workers also were so sweet and made sure the sweetness was exactly to our liking but they nailed that so I didn’t need them to change it. Would highly recommend. My only wish is that the cup was bigger.

Excellent matcha. Max the barista was so particular with making the matcha . Loved the vibe of the store. Excellent menu. Definitely coming back. House made ingredients were used like the syrup . Love the attention to detail.

Quality matcha and quality products, in the heart of coral gables. Finally tried it and the matcha was great got with the (house made!) almond milk and honey and it was perfectly well balanced. I peeped they have hojicha so def will be coming back!

i spent TEN DOLLARS ON A BOMBACLATTTT MATCHA LATTE 😫😫😫 the size isn't that big for me to be paying that much MIND U you have to pay extra to sweeten it . the match was alright i've had better for much cheaper, i understand that the matcha is high quality but there are many high quality matcha places in miami that aren't as outrageously expensive for a 8oz cup (you get a good 5 sips out of it). a couple positives are the workers and the aesthetics .... that's about it

10/10 no notes. The classic latte with brown sugar syrup was perfect… not too sweet, balanced, cereal notes from the coffee came through which are always a good indicator of fresh beans. Adding to my top 5

I found grove grocer while wandering with my friend on our meandering road trip back down the florida keys from miami. i felt like a kid discovering hidden treasure!! I love intentional independent grocers, and I noticed immediately many products and companies I have loved for years and never seen available in person stocked here. It felt dreamy! I think my friend and I luckily arrived on a day where everyone who works in the store was present, maybe for some kind of menu training hehe. They had just installed their new shelving. The owners/sisters were so sweet and fun to talk to. Everyone was very cute and helpful! I have been a barista & someone who works in the tea industry for many years so I was really interested in trying their matcha. It was really delicious and I appreciated watching it being made with lots of care. I got it with their house-made almond milk and holy shit it was divine! If i lived in the area i would come here all the time. Its such a cute & great place. I can tell there is lots of love & hard work being put in. The world is always in need of places like this :^) 🤍

The matcha was good, but I wouldn't say this is the best matcha I've tasted in the US. Not to mention, it ended up being $10 for an approximately ~8oz cup (including a mandatory service charge). The aesthetic is nice and I assume they likely use good ingredients, so the price may be justified by Miami standards.
