On the Grid : Growing Concerns

"Deceptively large, this friendly local gardening shop is nestled next to the Hertford Union Canal on the south east corner of Victoria Park. Selling everything a budding gardener could need in the city, the centre is also the perfect place to pick up a Christmas tree in December." - Adam Johnson

The best plant store in East London, been to all of them to compare and can verify. Got three Jasmine trees and one Acer tree for my balcony plus two beautiful glaced ceramic pots. They took a good 30 minutes to explain what I needed to do to repot and help me find the right plants for the amount of sun I get, gave me extra soil, etc. Also by far better prices! Almost half what they asked in the other places for the same products, go there!

Came upon this place by accident on our way to the V&A and I’m so glad we did! The gentleman we spoke to was so helpful and friendly, offered some great recommendations for plants that will (hopefully!) survive our shady, windy balcony. Amazing selection and full of really helpful advice, we’ll definitely be coming back for more plants soon.

I concur with all the previous positive reviews. Get down there have a wander around along with a chat with the Owner/Staff. That's if they have time and are not to busy. They may even sell you tulip blubs in the colours of your favourite team.

Can’t recommend this place enough, I bought the most lovely forsythia for my mum. Beautiful spot on the river with unusual and classic plants also lots of bird song! Well worth travelling for and knowledgeable kind staff too.

Love this place! I really can't recommend it enough. The staff is always super helpful, they actually take their time to make sure you buy what you really need and don't oversell at all. They even let us repot our plants there as we live close by, plant lovers, don't look further, this is the best place in East London by far!
