The situation of the house is perfect for visiting the village. The room was clean and bed is comfortable, there are two windows which has the views of the town, downstairs of the rooms is the restaurant, where offer excellent breakfast. The staff were friendly.

In the middle of the village with shop and restaurant 10% discount for clients of hotel , room as warm cosy, staff super polite and friendly , it could help to have like toiletries shampoo condition etc but there is a generic soap dispenser. You have the feeling of old building but there is a lift .

Perfectly located in the center of town. The attic rooms are spacious, Sense of luxury for us backpackers. But the roof Windows are too small (and only 2 of Them open): on a hot Day it was 29 degrees when we arrived and after a night of 18 degrees with Windows open it was still 29 in the room :(

We stayed for a night along our 8-day trip through Switzerland. There are three parking lots on the way up to Gruyères and most visitors are restricted to parking in areas 3 and 2. However, if you are staying the night, you're permitted to continue driving up to area 1 which is about a 10 minute walk to the rooms; just make sure to tell the parking attendant who directs traffic you are staying the night so they allow you to pass, as you don't want to have to walk up from the lower parking areas.||Once we arrived, check was relatively easy and located in a hallway on the 1st floor. Our room was #8 which was up 5 flights of stairs; there is an elevator available through the neighboring restaurant, but we didn't mind the walk, despite how noisy those stairs were. The room itself is 'cozy' and has a sloping attic roof which is a bit tricky for taller folks to move around in about in half of room or access the two twin-sized beds. There are a couple of small skylights that open electronically via a tablet near the front door; however, the windows have very slow motors and take about 20 or so seconds to open up 4 inches. Despite the window functionality, the views were great and the windows helped to keep the heat of the attic area at a comfortable temperature. The bathroom was a nice size and had good water pressure and temperature. We departed our room around 8AM the next morning and there was no one at the front desk or store to receive our key, but there was someone to take it at their partner restaurant (Gruyères Traditions).||Overall, there aren't many options for lodging in Gruyères, but this is a perfectly adequate and good place to stay for an evening when visiting this unique little town and its amazing HR Giger Museum and Bar.

Very warm and welcoming reception person. Reception was very easy to find. Great access to rooms (3rd floor) with an easy elevator. The automatic window system is a little weird. Room 15 has a lovely view. I highly recommend this place. Their partner restaurant had a great breakfast (a little costly, but Gruyere has limited options as it is).

Beautiful and large room with a lovely bathtub! We made a mistake with our booking but the host was kind enough to overlook it. Beautiful views of the central road of the village, with a gorgeous view of the sunset over the valley just a minute away.

In the middle of the village, this place offers small rooms and steep stairways. You must park outside the village and carry your stuff by foot (in the season, quite far from the village). The parking costs 2 chf per hour for daytime parking (08:00-18:00). Downstairs from the room there is a nice restaurant (same owners an 10% off for residents), offering (like all the restaurants in the village) dishes based on Gruyere cheese, like Raclet and Fondue - not for the Lactose sensitive people.

Gruyeres is beautiful village and Gruyeres Rooms is located right in the centre. The village itself is only open to cars at certain times but there is plenty of reasonably priced parking near by and the fact that it is mostly free of cars adds to its charm. The hotel rooms are above a shop which sells souvenirs and also where you can see Gruyere cheese being made. You will get a 10% discount on anything bought in the shop. We booked 2 rooms, an economy double and economy triple which were both in the attic. Don't be put off by the word economy or the fact that the only windows are skylights. Both rooms were exceptionally clean and the triple in particular very bright. Ok, so you don't get a view but as soon as you step out of the door you are in the thick of the village so it really didn't matter. The bathrooms were both large and had lovely powerful showers. The double was a good size and the bed, although very firm, was comfortable, and the bedding was of very good quality. The triple room was extremely spacious with the same quality of beds and bedding. There is no air conditioning, but the fans provided are very good, and even on a hot weekend, we were kept cool overnight and slept well. We missed having a full-length mirror and a safe in the room, and the bed corners do stick out a little, but apart from that, the rooms were great. It is an old wooden building and the stairs are noisy! But we didn't get disturbed by them at all overnight. You will just sound like a herd of elephants going up and down them! There is a slight smell of cheese in the stairwell (which will just make you want a fondue!) But the rooms smell lush, so clean and fresh. We had breakfast at their partner restaurant Gruyeres Traditions (also with 10% off), which was a good continental. All the staff were friendly and helpful. Would highly recommend this hotel and the town of Gruyeres which is a delight!
