Guana Island

My husband and I have been visiting Guana Island for about 12 years now. We stay at the North Beach Cottage and it’s got to be the most wonderful place in the world. We really feel like celebrities when we’re there. Their service is extremely personal and caring. The cottage is a dream - right on the water with its own pool and outdoor shower. The food is outstanding and we’ve been meeting the same people every year who are there when we are. A review almost can’t do it justice. Management and staff are outstanding. We’re going back next year

Guana Island has been on our bucket list for 20 years and we finally made the trip, and it thoroughly exceeded our expectations. What a beautiful location, with great food, beaches, snorkeling, and remote island experience. It is easy to meet and get to know the other guests, and the staff are exceptional with many having worked at the resort for many years. We are already planning a return visit!

Fab quiet, exclusive, romantic spot. The quiet is key. You won't hear someone's idea of a resort spotify playlist anywhere. Not in the bar, not on the beach, not in the dining room. ||You will feel well taken care of for your entire stay.

I wasn’t quite sure what to expect when we arrived, having heard so much about Guana Island and it exceeded my expectations in every possible way!||||It is truly a special, magical place. My husband and I were immediately charmed by the old-world, traditional feel of the island — from the warm and inviting lounge area, to the quaint bar, the cozy library, and the two lovely outdoor dining spaces. The accommodations were spacious, charming, and extremely comfortable. From the moment we arrived, we felt completely at home.||||The food was exceptional, and the staff went above and beyond at every turn. We loved the hiking trails, the stunning beach with its variety of water activities, and simply exploring the property, where we encountered mother nature daily — iguanas, birds, a small snake, flamingoes, and even donkeys and turtles.||||Guana Island is unlike anywhere else — serene, soulful, and unforgettable.

Absolutely fantastic stay! The epitome of barefoot luxury with a home away from home feel. The staff were friendly and always available to help without being overbearing. Arrival and departure were handled seamlessly. Our room was very clean and comfortable and really did feel like a home away from home. The food was spectacular! We will absolutely be back!

My husband and I went to this island paradise to celebrate our 25th anniversary and it was one of the most amazing trips we’ve ever taken. We travel extensively, and we have absolutely nothing negative to say about Guana Island. If you’re thinking of it, you should go. It’s beautiful, private, and the perfect combination of being able to relax and unwind but also to explore and be active. If you want the stuff to dote on you, they will, but if you want them to leave you alone, they will also do that! Highly recommend.

Another great snorkel spot. Also great for beginner snorkelers as it is not too deep and lots to see. You can anchor and swim over to the snorkel spot
