I was really lucky this trip, being able to fly in and out of Midway and this airport--my beloved BJX. I don't know anyone who enjoys the process of going to an airport--checking your luggage, going through security, etc--but at least in a small airport it should be easier. When you go through customs you're asked to press a button, and if a green light comes on you keep your ass on walking, but if the red light comes up your bags are checked. I got the red light, and I had my bags and was walking out of the airport about 45 minutes after we had landed.
Bright and clean, it obviously isn't very large, so it would actually suck being stranded there because there aren't a while lot of options for...well, for anything really. And I don't know if there's air conditioning, but it was mid-eighties that day and it was pretty hot and stuffy inside. I did see about a dozen or so power outlets at a station near my gate, which didn't seem like very many as they were all occupied, but I guess it's better than none!
Despite those things it's still a really great airport. I especially love the fact that it took me fifteen minutes to check my bag, get my ticket, go through security, and reach my gate. Fifteen freaking minutes. It took me longer to get in line and board the plane! The staff was very friendly and professional, smiling-n-$#!t, even the security people! what?! By the time I got to my gate I was in a better mood than when I had walked in. I love this airport, and I kind of hate airports in general. Now if only they'd open up a restaurant, or at least a window to let the breeze in.
