"High-Tech Shopping in Taipei If you are looking for the latest electronic gadgets and gizmos at affordable prices, then be sure to stop by the Guang Hua Market. This six-story testament to high-tech worship has everything you could want, or even imagine you could want, all under one roof. Not sure what you’re looking for? Don’t worry, the first floor is an exhibition space featuring the latest gadgets—a playground for those of us who can’t seem to get enough electronics in our lives."

As a foreigner, who doesn't speak the local language, I found it somewhat easy to navigate. The signs by escalators explained in English what was on each floor. The map outside did not... lots of PC parts in stock! Pricing was competitive.

Love it!! Lots of great deals to be found here. Wear comfy shoes. I walked almost 2 miles just browsing.

It’s the electronic paradise of Taiwan aside from Syntrend, which is next to here. I’ve been here looking for some rare electronic stuff even the retro game consoles can be found. Moreover, there are also a lot of repair shops in the building. The first floor is mostly computer related stores.

Ganghua Digital Plaza is nothing like the shopping centers we have here in Europe. The malls here are completely different, and honestly, I love this place. In the Czech Republic, we barely have malls like this, which is a big shame for me as a tech enthusiast. This is hands down the best shopping mall I’ve ever been to — full of tech gadgets and a unique vibe. Definitely a 5 out of 5 experience!

You will LOVE this place if you're digital device lover. My husband wants go to every time we're in Taipei City. This is a whole building at the corner by a Metro Station downtown Taipei. It's very convenient and accessible for people. It had the most advanced digital products from all over the world. Great place if you're looking for something. We got a flashlight with a blade to cut off the seatbelts & a point to break the windows. We also got a camping light with a smaller, portable light inside of it so you can hang the big light up at the camp but bring the small one wherever you need to go. We got 2 secret things that are designed and made in Taiwan and are in the process of getting Patten. We had great time, rewarding time, at this plaza.

Small and clean mall. There’s an ice cream vending machine that my kids thought was interesting and yummy. Kept them happy while the adults shop.

Still one of the best ones stop shop spots for finding your tech needs on the quick at a good price. With the recent tariffs it might finally be cheaper to build a PC with parts here than ordering in the good old USA too. Commodity PC parts used to cost about 10% more here than from online stores in the US. Not anymore. Bring cash, most vendors charge extra for cards. Indoors and air conditioned is always a bonus.

Yelp
First visit to this high-tech shopping plaza. It has many gadgets, including wide selections of the huge popular Dragon Ball figures. The basement food court has a small selections restaurants, and the 9th floor has a few more expensive eateries. Great place to browse computers and other electronic products to kill time.

Yelp
This multi-level plaza is filled with electronics vendors, each with their speciality client base. I'm looking for a vehicle camera that records both front & rear digital images at the same time onto a SD-Card. I found something on the level 4 with a price tag of NT$5900. Will keep on searching...

Yelp
Guang Hua Digital Plaza is made up of a few places in the area itself. A few years back when I was here, Guang Hua was still going through revitalizing this area that had always been know as the digital capital of Taipei. Though the main two buildings had been built in the years before for some to me, the surrounding areas were still rather desolate, and not all that busy outside of the main building areas. I have to say today though, everything is much different, and it almost feels as if the surrounding areas have become even busier than the digital plaza itself. When I was here back then, the streets surrounding the main Syntrend building was like a ghost town. Now, it's got a night market type of vibe to it. The streets you walk through to get to the main area is bustling with people, as the alley is jammed pack with places to eat, and multiple boba spots abound. Sure, Guang Hua main plaza, and the two main buildings are know for their electronics, and great place for both higher scales name brands, and second off branded products, it's sort of the addition of the eateries that have changed this area to a much more well rounded entertainment spot.

Yelp
So getting things tailored in Taiwan tend to be a good deal cheaper than in the US, especially for specialty pieces and because my family can usually find a tailor they can haggle with. I once had an aunt coming back to Taiwan whose entire luggage consisted of clothes she wanted to be fixed or adjusted. Similarly, when we have some electronic we're trying to save, sometimes we'll wait until a Taiwan trip. Then that relative will usually come here to Guang Hua Digital Plaza to see if they can get someone to fix it. Cardinal rule of Taiwan: ANYTHING can be haggled for as long as you approach the transaction like an older, fussy, Asian lady. This is especially true here, where it LOOKS like a mall, but is ultimately still a marketplace. Said market has technically been around for a while, but this location has somewhat recently gone through some renovations. Word is that since, as a country, Taiwan is proud of its electronics and Guang Hua Market being a well-known electronics hotspot meant they had to give the place a facelift. Especially with the recent political situation in those parts that have driven away a large portion of the Chinese tourists. Back on topic, I've been to a lot of Asian electronic malls like this one. But in comparison, this one is very clean, well-lit, and maintains a "new" feeling. The lack of scruffiness and signs of dilapidation (dirty corners, water stains, or even scuffs on the floor) makes it feel more open and not as claustrophobic many other such spots do. There are about four floors (floors 2 to 5) of stalls with top/sixth floor being offices (from what I could understand from the signs?) and the first floor being mainly dominated by a food court (love the tea place next to the escalators by the way, would encourage people to try that). Like most malls of this formats, bathrooms are always next to the stairs and the elevators are a bit small, so be aware of that as this is the reason my wheelchair-bound grandfather doesn't come here that often. Both of those are a bit out of the way, and most people take the single-person escalators. Besides just how clean and professional the place looks, I love that they have outdoor walkways in the upper buildings. Most times, these are available for emergencies, but the Digital Plaza seems to have added them so that visitors can walk around outside and take in the view. The entire building is located on the corner, and I'm told that some of the particular spaces I noticed outside are for small outdoor performances or visual promotions. With the Plaza's location on an intersection and a large source of foot traffic, it's a hotspot like that. Additionally, that and the large, open space all around makes this one of the easiest places to wave down a cab, and they usually have a few waiting there anyway. The variety of electronics they sell is incredible. Movies, games, game system, TVs, speakers and sound systems, screens, keyboards, phones, lights, production equipment, household objects, every accessory for everything I just listed, etc. Not only that, but I also saw stalls that sold luggage cases, toys, hand wound clocks, and clothes. Since everything is already THERE, this is a great place for shopping or if you just need to pick something up. But if you're looking to get something fixed, make sure to visit early on in your trip. Depending on repairs needed, it might get done right away or need a few days. Stalls that sell certain kinds of electronics tend to be grouped together (ex. stalls selling sound systems and speakers were on the 4th floor). Don't be afraid to walk around that area of booths to compare pricing. Items wise, most things seem to cost about the same. Services wise, stalls seem to be pretty competitive and they're always looking to offer a cheaper price than the other. This place pulls movies from ALL over. Chinese, Japanese, Taiwanese, Korean, English, etc. from every genre. While my parents bought a Chinese history-drama trilogy for my grandma, I was looking at all of the Western stuff they had (it was fascinating to see they had a Chinese Game of Thrones and Wonder Woman XD). Additionally, my dad and I got our phone screens replaced for a two-for-a-discount price as well as my grandmother's DVD player fixed up. My only regret is that I didn't get the black spot on my IPhone's camera fixed while I was there!

Yelp
Similar to Syntrend, this place is techie heaven! Since we couldn't find the item we needed at Syntrend, their information desk told us to come to Guang Hua. Guang Hua's information desk were also able to tell us exactly which floor we should go to. This place is cash only!

Yelp
Possibly the only place in Taipei you can buy a 2-prong to 3-prong adapter (cheater plug). Taiwanese outlets are only 2-pronged, so if you have any electronics with a 3-prong charger and you forgot to pack an adapter, this is where you'd need to go. Otherwise the electronics in general are not necessarily cheaper than back in the states (or, more specifically, Amazon). If you want to get something here you may want to first research the general price range of where you'd otherwise buy it, and be willing to haggle :P

Yelp
Most people know this place as "that mall in Taipei that you can buy cheap electronic shit". That's pretty much it. Now to clarify, this isn't the place to find an assortment of high-end gadgets. It's a place to go buy a cool iPhone cover, a new router, some Blu-Ray discs, video games or hard drives. It's not a place to go look for that cool, new digital DSLR camera or high-end B&O home theater systems (that's in the new mall located adjacent to this place). In terms of prices for the most part they are good. You should still haggle if/when you can, especially if you're buying a good quantity of items. This place is way better than the original one that was kind of nasty. It's also located near an MRT station, which is a nice bonus. What I really think the biggest takeaway from here is that if you're from out of town and need to get some reasonably priced hardware essentials, you won't have any trouble looking for that badly needed router. But if you're shopping for style, go to the new mall next door (and bring a lot of cash).

Yelp
Guanghua in my opinion is something that Singapore's Simlim Square has yet to achieve. The stalls are organized and seem to actually have a layout being followed with stores of similar goods within a localised area. The mall is mainly for computers and related products, spanning the whole range from common to quite rare. A number of stores are also selling phones and accessories and there are some interesting stores like the one that customises in ear headsets to give you the perfect fit and the best possible audio quality. My only issue now is the big increase in all prices and not just electronics.

Yelp
Iphone chord broken? On the look out for cheap phone cases? Need a cheap bluetooth speaker without breaking the bank? Actually that last one applies directly to me :D. Fortunately for you, and for me, this place will have all of the miscellaneous electronics and more that you could ever need! While this place is nothing fancy, it certainly isn't the slum you might find an electronics mall to be. Prices are decent first of all, and competitively priced versus the other vendors. I was with some Taiwanese friends, and they seem shocked when I brought up the idea of haggling. Perhaps I'm behind the times, but it seems haggling in an electronics shop is far different from the night markets down the street. Can't say I'm dissatisfied though, since my haggling skills are only aight and I always think that I'm the one getting ripped off afterwards. Even if you're looking for specialty items, I'd say you have a decent chance finding them here. For example I wasn't expecting to find so many camera bags here, but lo and behold I even found some specialty spiderpro holsters. Now that's something you don't see everyday! There's also a cheap food court on the bottom for some cheap local fare. Could do with some more drink shops though. Next time I'll stop bringing so many usb cords now that I know this is nearby!

Yelp
Need a new phone? Computer? Motherboard? Floppy disk? Anything your little techy heart desires you can find at Guang Hua plaza. It's a small form of heaven for the technology minded. They have EVERY-THING. It can be overwhelming if you don't know what you're looking for though, so go with a plan and go with some time- it's 6 floors of stuff. The good thing is that the floors are separated by type of electronic. The bad thing is that at a glance, all the stores seem to sell the same stuff so you need to look closer, and if you're on a budget do some price comparison.

Yelp
This is an all electronic 3C shopping mall that is 6 floor high and has everything you can think of! From laptops, desktops, stereos, cameras to all types of technology accessories at a very reasonable price. If you are lucky, sometimes you can even bargain with them. I always came here when I was young for DvD and music videos when it was then really popular. They also have play station games and Xbox games selling at a lower cost. The only downside of this place is that it is very packed and all the shops in there looks very alike. You can be lost in there if your dont recognize the store number. So I recommend you to grab their business cards when you have a chance so you know next time the store you are looking for.

Patrick N.

Yelp
A plethora of electronics for sale. I would recommend seeing how much things cost in the second floor as a reference point and see if the prices are less expensive on the higher floors. Bought a router and Logitech mouse at this place. If you're looking for linksys, netgear, or other American products, you'll be out of luck. Most of the shops sell TP Link, ASUS, Acer, and Taiwan-based electronic manufacturers only.

Yelp
Like any other electronic market in Asia this place is very crowded and full of little stalls that sell almost anything electronic you might want to buy. If you are into those things (like me), it's a must go. Prices can be haggled, and certainly they are cheaper than other standard places around Taipei.
