I came by here after leaving the Temple Of Six Banyan Trees as it is within walking distance for me. This is a very popular temple and it is full of visitors and devotees. Everyone brought flowers for their prayers. The grounds are huge and each building is well spaced with large trees casting nice shades everywhere. I explored and offered my prayers in many of them. Although there is a huge crowded, there wasn't much noise as everyone was carrying on in respectful tones.

Guangxiao Temple in Guangzhou is an impressive cultural and spiritual site, with a entrance fee of RMB 5 per person. The temple attracts many local worshippers, who bring beautiful flowers. The serene and quiet atmosphere provides a peaceful environment for reflection and prayer. In addition to the temple's spiritual significance, visitors will find a vegetarian restaurant just outside the temple. Upon exiting, turn left and walk a few steps, you will find a shop selling prayer items and flowers, and next to it, a buffet-style restaurant offering a variety of dishes for RMB 15 per person. you may enjoy a meal after visit to the temple.

This place is absolutely worth the extra effort to get to. First of all, it appears less crowded than other similar places. Second, it offers a free audio guide in English, allowing you to understand what you’re seeing. Lastly, this place is alive—people come here to worship, so please be respectful.

Nice temple in Yuexiu district near the Ximenkou metro station. The temple is well maintained and preserved as one of the oldest temples in Guangzhou. Do visit if you have some time during your trip to Guangzhou.

A bigger temple than Temple of the six banyan trees. Very airy and tranquil. Paid 5 or 10 yuan for the entrance fee. A temple where the locals come. This temple seemed popular with the locals but it is also perceived as more ritualistic. There are many eateries outside the temple which serve good local food.

Entrance fee for 5RMB, and visit 6th century once royal temple. There is a good history regarding a highly reputable monk who had his ordination here, right between the pagoda and Bodhi tree.

A very beautiful temple. It has statues of Buddha, laughing Buddha, some mythological dieties. It has another hall with a beautiful temple with several thousands of Buddha on the wall.
