Guangzhou Museum of Art

A place to show how deep rooted Guangzhou is, not only the “factory of the world”. I love the archirecture, the atmostphere and almost everything about it. There are exhibitions from time to time. It’s free entrance, with some small fee to certain exhibition. Mine was 40 yuan (~6 usd). Worth every penny. I love the lighting they put in each of the exhibition room. Not impressed by the digital art in 3rd floor however. Sometimes family visitors were a bit disruptive, but it’s a public place anyway. The souvernir store was a bit surprise to me as they’re selling alessi kitchenware 😂.

it's very big with 3 floors but not all spaces are used up for exhibition; however, its worth visiting a lot .There are upto 20 gallery halls for exhibition, beginning with fine arts , paintings by locals , then sculpture exhibition and one of the most impressive ones for me is JC comic exhibitions. International Manga, from Japan, HK, and etc are live here. it's a relaxed place for drinking coffee too, its own brand " artecoffee"

A solid art museum with many exhibits to check out. The official name of this place is “Guangzhou People’s Art Center”. There are many gallery halls available, although not all of them are available at a given time. Current features are mostly calligraphy and brush art, but there are temporary exhibits as well, such as one on anime and cartoons. Free admission with a security check. Opens until 5 PM at the moment. Expect to spend at least two hours here.

A beautiful building, with some lovely trees set against the background of the sky line of Guangzhou. Inside it is pretty great too, a circler designed building with five floors where you can walk around and around and look at all the exhibits. The first few floors were a little dull to be honest - concentrating on calligraphy and Chinese brush paintings, and without any context for the foreigner it was all a bit strange. The most interesting part for me was seeing all the sculptures - both modern and classical - some quite quirky and amusing. Not the best Museum in the world, but definitely a half decent place to while away an hour or two.

Museum itself was average but the gardens and grounds around it were well worth the trip. Definitely and area you should visit and spend some time if in Guangzhou

big museum, need a few hours here. really enjoyed it today. will be back 👍👍
