Guangzhou Orchid Garden

A lovely little park in the city where one can enjoy some an orchid garden, a nice peaceful lake, some nice pathways, a lot of greenery, and much more. Can also grab a cold drink or a coffee and a snack. Best part for me was that it was not crowded - locals perhaps preferring bigger parks in the city, but for me, this was a plus, more relaxing and peaceful. Very few people around in fact, and for a city of under 14 million that was some feat, on the weekend too!! Might not be worth seeing if on a short trip, but for someone who is staying in the city for more than a few weeks, then definitely should pay it a visit and a look.

The park is small but there are a lot of paths so it is easy to spend a lot of time in it. There are a lot of small ponds and streams and it is all cultivated well. However due to all the standing water, it is extremely buggy with lots of mosquitos (so wear long pants). Some parts are also not maintained particularly well (which is very common for China). It also gets very crowded during Chinese public holidays.

Very peaceful,not so crowded. Not so many variations but calmness and cleanliness of surroundings is eternal! Ticket is 8 RMB, there’s a mosque 🕌 beside of the garden. There’s a ancient tomb of SAAD BIN WAQAS is the uncle of prophet Mohammed (PBUH). Ma’ShaAllah very beautiful place to pass your time.

A well maintained, boutique garden with water falls, ponds, tranquility and easy to go around.

Amazing Park many flowers and trees

The garden is not very big but there are many plants, especially the Orchid. Visitor are not too many, so you can enjoy different kinds of Orchids and flowers as casual as you like. The full ticket cost RMB 8 yuan.

Definitely worth a visit!
