"An epic indoor Omnicoaster featuring a reverse launch, this coaster is pure fun. Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind is undoubtedly the best coaster on property, and the throwback soundtrack (with six different songs from the '70s and '80s) will have you dancing and singing along as you soar through the stars." - Travel + Leisure Editors

Went to the Epcot after hours event and made this my last roller coaster of the night. Waited around 35min…apparently someone got sick on the ride so they had to clean the car…classic Disney magic! There were quite a lot of intro videos to watch, but the roller coaster itself was super fun. Worth going on if you’re at Disney 💯

Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind is hands-down one of the best attractions Disney has ever created. From start to finish, it’s an absolutely jaw-dropping experience. This isn’t just another roller coaster—it’s a full-blown, story-driven adventure that seamlessly blends incredible technology, music, humor, and thrills. The queue is immersive and sets the stage beautifully, with detailed theming, interactive displays, and appearances from the Guardians themselves via fun pre-show videos. Disney went above and beyond with the storytelling, making you feel like you’re part of a mission to help save the galaxy alongside Star-Lord, Rocket, Gamora, Drax, and Groot. Once you board the ride, prepare to be amazed. The launch is smooth but powerful, and the ride vehicles rotate 360 degrees to direct your focus on different show elements, which makes every moment exciting and unpredictable. The visuals are stunning, and the synchronization with the soundtrack—featuring classic hits like “September” or “Disco Inferno”—adds so much energy and fun. No two rides feel exactly the same, especially with the random music selection. It’s intense enough for thrill-seekers but smooth and immersive enough for those who usually shy away from coasters. It’s also indoors and air-conditioned, which is a huge bonus on a hot Florida day. Whether you’re a Marvel fan, a coaster lover, or just looking for something truly new and different at EPCOT, Cosmic Rewind is an absolute must-do. It’s the perfect mix of storytelling, cutting-edge design, and Disney magic. I would ride it again and again!

Google
Easily one of the best roller coasters I've ever ridden! Even the long line getting in feels like an adventure with the number of teaser displays they put to keep you entertained as you get into the actual ride. The ride gave a great backstory before you got on the coaster. The ride itself makes you feel like you've moved in every possible axis of motion! Great CGI graphics!

Stephen Asgar

Google
By far the best ride in EPCOT. Personally my favorite out of all the parks. It has good speed and direction changes for the avid coaster fan but no upside down or aggressive inversions for those who aren’t into that. It’s honestly the best blend of features for all coaster fans. Plus the soundtrack slaps. It’s a different ride everytime whenever you get a new song.

The best Disney ride I have ever been on. It was such a wonderful experience. They played Earth wind and fire song. It was a fast wonderful adventure. The coolest thing. The line was long but completely worth it.

Travis Lee

Google
100% fun. Love the music. The ride itself is incredibly smooth and enjoyable! The wait time feels manageable thanks to the themed holding rooms, which keep things interesting. Guardians of the Galaxy may not be among the most thrilling rides, but it’s now my absolute most favorite ride.

Google
BEST RIDE EVER!!!!🥹 I’ve gotten to ride it twice. Every time I ride it, I am always laughing and smiling bc how fun it is. The songs I got were disco inferno and September. Which is PERFECT from the movies. Not any huge drops. My second time my stomach did drop a bit but it was probably because I did not eat very much before hand. But the line wait is kinda crazy. So get lighting lane pass. But the design while you are waiting in line is GORGEOUS. So pretty. I love that you get a picture during the ride! I saw many kids ride this ride and didn’t seem horrified after! So maybe try it! The ride maybe lasts 2 mins. There is some dark parts but has screens to look at. Now if you suffer from motion sickness you might want to take meds before just INCASE! I would consider myself moderately at risk for motion sickness but i had no issue w this ride. I did hear some people did. Over all 1000/10 for this ride. Wish i could ride it over again to get all the songs.

Chris Greenlee

Google
Amazing ride, the virtual queue takes a long time. Just make sure you get there just before they call your group and will help make the remaining wait time shorter

Taylor G.

Yelp
A much needed addition to Epcot, however, if you are prone and motion sickness, I would caution you against this ride. I absolutely love it when I wrote it, however, I was sick for two hours afterwards. Just a little too much and I'm only 30 lol. All my friends absolutely love this ride. Great job by Disney's imagineering team by an immersive and fun coaster. From my friend : very fun, smooth coaster. Music is a great touch. Her favorite ride in Disney World.

Matt C.

Yelp
I wanted to give this 3 stars, but I will say that it is a good RIDE, if you can ever get to it. There are two huge things holding Cosmic Rewind back: 1. Virtual Queue. As god as my witness, and I swear on my daughters eyes, when I tried to join the morning virtual queue, it sold out in LITERALLY, and I mean L.I.T.E.R.A.L.L.Y. TWO SECONDS. 7:00:00am the virtual queue opened, and 7:00:02, it was filled. At 7 on the dot, I clicked refresh, saw "join virtual queue," and by the time I clicked the button, it was full. Insane. By some miracle of Shiva, I was able to get a spot on the 1pm virtual queue, but didn't get to board until almost 3 hours later. Then, after finally getting the call to board, we ran into the next knock: the FLUFF! DEAR GOD.....There is so much pre ride crap. GotG is the NUMBER 1 OFFENDER of the "watch this while we wait to board you" problem at WDW. (Mickey's Runaway Rail being #2) The stuff before getting on the ride is just WAAAAAAY too long, and they try to be cute and witty, but I'd rather just get to the ride thanks. I know they have to set up the story a little bit, but they could have cut out 60% of the pre ride theatrics and got the same point across. I completely get that they use this time to push the people ahead through, but I do NOT understand why they have you waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaait, then watch a 10 minute video, just to WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAIIIIT again! What were yall doing for that 10 minutes?!?! You should go straight from the video to the ride. It's annoying. The ride itself is actually amazing, and incredibly smooth. I'm not one of those 80s/90's nostalgia suckers, so the music doesn't do anything for me, but I heard that that is a big selling point for people. Guardians could easily be the best ride in all of Disney if not for the virtual queue and obscene wait times and pre ride fluff.

Rachel Macie H.

Yelp
A new age Vekoma you so know I'm down to take a ride on that anytime! This coaster is soo much fun it has a super cool pre show story that's very immersive and makes you feel like you are totally in the story! The music selection is awesome it totally fits the storyline and just creates that much more of a fun experience all around as you never know what song you will get! The magic row is the second one from the back so do yourself a favor and ask for it because you'll be stoked that you did! Disney and Vekoma really created a masterpiece here as this really was a super fun experience that has kept me wanting to ride again and again some might say that this is the best roller coaster in all of Walt Disney World! Overall out of the over 500 coasters I've ridden this is in my top five and after every ride I just really enjoy the layout and whole experience of this awesome coaster every time! With that said get to Epcot and ride it

Tina J.

Yelp
It is the missing piece of Epcot, it was the perfect add-on for the park. Now, i can happily say epcot is my favorite park out of the 4s. Design of the tracks and visuals are innovative!! As someone who gets motion sickness, this ride did give me a bite of motion sickness that I had to close my eyes for a few seconds during the ride. It's a rollercoaster and INTENSITY RATING for me is in between space mountain and Rock n Roll. Don't miss out on this ride!!!

Chuck O.

Yelp
Great ride!! Not a fan that you have to pay additional for fast passes and the whole queue process is a pain. The ride itself was excellent and if you're a fan of the movie you'll love all the tie ins. The use of songs is excellent as well!

Tharin W.

Yelp
Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind is one of the best roller coasters in Florida. This coaster combines a new ride system, iconic music, Marvel characters and "Disney Magic." It is the best thrill ride at Epcot, and one of the best rides that Disney has ever built. Don't miss it!

Cody L.

Yelp
Wow! One of the smoothest rides I've ever had on a roller coaster! The music is blasting and you'll have a blast too! This attraction still requires a reservation or lightning lane so you might not get in. Ride attendants are awesome, helpful and friendly. Don't take your frustration with lightning lanes or not getting in a queue out on them. Pro-tip. At some points the ride spins (think Tea Cups). I would not recommend you eat a ton of food then ride if you get queasy.

Gregg N.

Yelp
The ride of the park! Plan ahead!!! On the day of your visit, join the Virtual Queue (via the app) at 7a or 1pm. We didn't know about the virtual queue until after 7a. So at 1p, I was on the app "getting in line"! 225 minute wait time So wait we did. We did other stuff in and outside of the park until it was time. Had a great wait! Got to the ride and it was our turn! The line seemed to go quick but there was some technical difficulties. Which caused a delay. Once the ride began, it went quick. It reminded me of Space Mountain, but faster... like light speed faster! Although I'm not a rollercoaster rider, this one was a good ride.

Mel L.

Yelp
Epcot's Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind is a fast, smooth, indoor rollercoaster with visual effects, Marvel character cameos, and is set to different throwbacks each ride. During my two rides I heard: Everybody Wants to Rule the World by Tears for Fears and September by Earth Wind and Fire. Each song gave a different vibe and I loved both.

Tom E.

Yelp
Best ride in Epcot... hands down. This may actually be the best roller coaster I've ever been on, and I hate roller coasters. The line is fun. Not too long. You definitely need a resy though if you don't have lightning lane or are staying at one of the premiere hotels. It's so smooth. No loops. You genuinely feel like you're in space. The music, lighting, special effects...: all incredible. They really outdid themselves with this one. It also doesn't hurt that guardians of the galaxy is like one of my favorite movies too.

Alan L.

Yelp
Easily the best ride in the Epcot theme park. Probably the only ride with any sort of thrill factor, and is similar in style to a typical space mountain ride. There was a storyline to the ride, but the ride was thrilling and fast enough that you probably won't be paying attention to the plot during the ride. Make sure to join the virtual queue once you are in the park, as I don't think they typically allow people on physical standby. Buying the lightning pass is also worth it imo as it was definitely the highlight of our trip. But if you do, make sure to not book the ride at a time too late in the day. The ride broke down an hour before closing for us, and we very nearly were unable to experience it as our lightning pass entrance was scheduled in the last hour. However, the staff were very helpful and managed to fix it in time for us to enjoy the ride!

Michelle A.

Yelp
It was our first time coming to Disney World, we were lucky enough to get on the queue early in the morning before arriving at the park, it was a few hours until we were called but so worth the wait! GOTG is a dark ride with exciting twists and turns, out of the 4 parks this is definitely our favorite ride, we wanted to go more than once but unfortunately you can only queue for the ride once daily, we are envious we do not have this at Disneyland, but hope they put one in soon!

Savone J.

Yelp
If you're looking for a thrill ride in Epcot Guardians is your ride. From 6 different songs you can vibe to. A track that feels like a slinky dog and space mountain collab. You truly have a smooth coaster that makes it fun and easy to get lost in the storyline! If you're a fan of Guardians of the Galaxy or just a fun roller coaster this is a ride you definitely want to experience. The queue line is pretty cool too.

Eric S.

Yelp
The ride does not live up to the hype. Don't get me wrong, it's a cool ride but it's not amazing.

Austin B.

Yelp
A rather amazing ride with one absolutely wild concept. You swivel around on the ride as you were going racing around the track. Not only do you go forward and backward but at some points you go sideways due to the ride seat you are in shifting to the side to view screens and scenery! Everything about this ride is phenomenally detailed with the video intro in the first room, to the second room literally changing in the blink of an eye. The detailing and everything are jaw dropping and honestly inspiring when it comes to seeing what other people are able to do when given an idea to make a beloved comic book series come to life! The roller coaster seating you get into is very comfortable and it is a lapbar that you pull down which you get very snug in so you don't feel like you were going to fly out. My favorite thing is that when you get on this ride you will have one of six randoms 1980s songs blasting through speakers as you race to save the Galaxy with the guardians of the galaxy! You do need a virtual cue that opens at 7:00 a.m. or 1:00 p.m. each day through the app to be able to ride this ride so get your fingers ready to get one because they are almost gone in an instant when the queue opens!

Yelp
Tuesday, January 9, 2024, was our tenth time riding in Guardians. It was just as exhilarating as the other 9 times! We went to Epcot after dropping off family at the airport. This ride was the only reason we visited the park. But when we got to the ride, it closed at 10:30 (our group time) for technical difficulties. So we roamed the park for 150 minutes, checking back to see if it had reopened. It did - at 1PM. We got to the actual ride inside in record time - 15 minutes! Usually it takes an hour. The ride itself is about 4 minutes, with one of six different 80s tunes. Our favorite is DiscO Inferno. Today the song was September. That's our 2nd favorite! A word of caution to those who are prone to motion sickness: wear a patch or don't go on this ride. Our niece wanted to love this ride as much as we, but she was violently sick afterwards. She suffers from motion sickness. We didn't know, and we were so upset with ourselves for recommending the ride.

Britney M.

Yelp
WOW! This ride was SUPER-FAST! And it was a lot. I felt a bit overwhelmed on this one with the side to side and backwards, going in all directions. I will say that the ride is very SMOOTH. I am thankful for that. It isn't jerky or bumpy- no whiplash even though you are being whipped in all directions in a super-fast way. The ride goes pretty quick. If I am being honest, I did close my eyes. The lights and colors with the loud music was too much for me. I closed my eyes and focused on my breathing and the ride was over pretty quick lol Overall, not a horrible experience for a rollercoaster ride. This is the best ride at EPCOT.

Brian F.

Yelp
Because it's a very popular ride, there's a virtual queue that you join that tells you when to come back in line. I recommend joining the virtual queue right at 7am when it opens so you can come back earlier. We were called back and still waited an hour to start the ride. I was getting a little annoyed and restless because even when we went inside there was still a line for the actual ride. It was a fast ride that made me a little dizzy at times but it was still fun. The audio and visuals were spectacular and it was one of my favorite rides in Epcot.

Karen V.

Yelp
Oh wow!! What an intense experience! That's really all I could say after it was done. It also happens to be longer than most thrill rides I've ever been on. I could have sworn there was a mild G-force when spiraling down, but my husband disagreed with me. All I know is that I felt some kind of force pushing me to the right. We were really amazed with this one. The last thrilling Disney ride I had been on was Space Mountain, and that was a long time ago. Guardians is nothing like that. It's more of an OmniCoaster with a 360 degree controlled vehicle rotation. It also has a backward launch. Oh yeah, Baby!!! We were in the front row of the pod. I screamed up until the point when we started to spiral. Hey, at least it was a smooth ride. I can't recall every little detail. There were even times when I kept my eyes closed. I was so happy when they said the mission was complete at the end. Thank you!!!!! We snagged an individual lightning lane for this one knowing that it's the most popular ride at EPCOT. The opening was at 9:10 am. How convenient! The earlier the better. It's good to have a little food in your stomach, but definitely don't ride this after a big meal. I had read reviews, and decided to take the less drowsy formula of Dramamine (just in case). I don't get motion sickness, but I do get sick on rides that go round and round like the tea cup rides. I'm not sure I needed it. I think the side effects were worse as it started wearing off. I was thirsty as hell. Just make sure you're hydrated. Oh, and there is a song list that blasts while you're careening through space in your escape pods. The song they played for this ride was "One Way or Another" by Blondie. The songs are random, and you never know which one you'll hear until you leave the station. There is one disadvantage when using a lightning lane over a virtual queue. I feel like I didn't get to see any of the GOTG interviews while waiting in line. The lightning lane takes you on a totally different route that gets you to the gallery before the Xandarian presentation. I didn't really get to take any pictures. It's the price you pay for a shorter wait time. I guess we'll just have to ride it again.

Robby M.

Yelp
Firstly, I HATE roller coasters. Secondly, I LOVE LOVE LOVE this roller coaster! Ok, so I don't hate them, per se, but I am definitely a Ladybug at Candyland kinda guy. So far, Petunia has gotten me on the Mine Train, Hagrid's, the Gringott's ride and even the Mummy. I thought Hagrid's was the best; I was wrong. Come check this out and don't forget to pay attention to the story!

Babette C.

Yelp
This ride rocks, literally. We don't have a version of this in Disneyland so this was a nice surprise. It's a roller coaster that flings you out with Guardians antics played to one of five 80s songs right off of Peter Quill's Zune. This was easily Sis' favorite ride of the four parks and this was my second favorite. Luckily we got to ride it twice because I got a spot in the Virtual Queue and I paid for a Lightning Lane. Totally worth all the stress and cost of getting those spots because this ride was worth it.

Faith G.

Yelp
Best. Ride. EVER!! So fast, love the music! Really long line but it would be worth it. I was screaming the entire time!

Brandi P.

Yelp
This is one of the top 2 roller coasters I have ever ridden. It is so fast and smooth. It is indoor and somewhat dark. You are essentially riding in an IMAX theater. It is so awesome! Every time you ride you get a random song. We have gotten September, Conga, I Ran, and Everybody Wants to Rule the World. Our whole family loves it!

Kelly M.

Yelp
I am Super confused by the new DAS but at least we got to go on the ride. When You get a return time you get to see all other movies and screens winding all over the place... we closed out the park with the wait for this ride

Neha K.

Yelp
This is THE BEST ride in all of Disney. Smooth like butter, this outstanding coaster takes you through the galaxy playing some superb music along the way. Do not miss this. Best ride ever!

Jay P.

Yelp
Opened in 2022, its the newest ride and very popular, its in the old Energy Pavillion building thats been greatly expanded on and is one of the largest indoor rollercoasters in the world. I'm not going to spoil the ride, the Disney experts we went with did us the same courtesy and I'll do the same on Yelp. What I will say is it was our favorite ride in all the parks we went to and you can only find it at Epcot. You have to pre-book the ride and it sells out in seconds so get on the app at 7 am to get your spot, it's well worth it. If you are a fan of the movie the line has some interesting models and toward the mid-point there is a short video with the movie cast that matches the funny vibe of the movies. The ride "intro" room has appearances from Terry Crews and Glen Close.

Heather A.

Yelp
This ride is a MUST! It was awesome and a totally different concept than any other ride at Disney. Hands down in my top 3 favorites rides throughout all of the parks!! You will have to wait for a Queue to open in order to get onto the ride but SO WORTH IT!!!

Amanda L.

Yelp
It's one of the best rides Disney has to offer! However, as others have mentioned, if you're prone to motion sickness or probably ate a big meal- I'd stay away from this ride. The best part about this ride is the music, and each time you ride, there's a chance you can experience it with one of the six songs that currently play on the ride. It makes the whole experience incredible. The ride goes FAST, but it is smooth. You'll be spinning at points in the ride, so that's where the motion sickness can kick in for some. The actual queue area and overall theming/preshow are amazingly designed and really immerse you. It's a beautiful queue! Being that this ride is so popular, it's crucial to snag a boarding pass for this ride via a virtual queue on the My Disney Experience app. Depending on the day, you may even get lucky and get a boarding pass still if it's not as busy! It's definitely worth a try, and it's super fun for the whole family!

Yelp
Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind - A Game-Changing Ride Experience! I just rode Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind at Epcot, and I'm still reeling from the experience! Hands down, this is the best Disney ride in all the parks right now. The moment you step into the queue, you know you're in for a treat. The theming is impeccable, with nostalgic nods to the classic Nova Corps. But the real magic happens when you board the ride vehicles. The innovative reverse-launch system is seamless, and the ride's pacing is expertly crafted. You'll feel like you're soaring through space, dodging asteroids and alien creatures to the tune of an incredible soundtrack. And that music? OUTSTANDING! The ride's playlist is a masterfully curated mix of classic rock and pop hits, perfectly synched to the action unfolding around you. You'll find yourself singing along, even as you're screaming with delight. What truly sets Cosmic Rewind apart, though, is its sheer fun factor. This ride is an absolute blast, with unexpected surprises and stunning visuals at every turn. Whether you're a die-hard Guardians fan or just looking for a world-class thrill ride, Cosmic Rewind delivers. Don't miss this one, folks! Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind is an instant classic and a must-ride for anyone visiting Epcot. Get ready to rewind, and experience the ultimate Disney ride!

Yelp
Completely exceeded my expectations and then some. I've been so curious about this attraction ever since it was announced. The building of the attraction it was replacing, The Universe of Energy, was already quite large. But then to create this attraction they were going to build another massive building behind it? Just completely epic. Because I'm a giant theme park nerd I researched who was behind the coaster and was thrilled to see that it was the Dutch amusement company, Vekoma. I'm a huge fan of their indoor coaster at Efteling called Vogel Rok. It's a dark, smooth as butter coaster and that's what we got with Cosmic Rewind. To me Space Mountain is a miserable experience because it's so rough and jerky. That's not the case with Cosmic Rewind. When you ride you'll be randomly assigned one of five classic songs that are all great. I wanted "Everybody Wants to Rule The World" so badly but when "I Ran" started playing and the madness began it was perfection. I haven't felt such unbridled joy on a ride in a long time. The visuals, ride, and sound were so intense. I think because the ride is in the dark it makes things feel more intense. At least that was the case for me. The one design decision that I thought was completely bizarre was that after the ride is over they make you walk up and down a flight of stairs to climb over what I assume is the launch tunnel. I was so dizzy after the ride I worried about taking a tumble. That didn't stop me from riding again later in the night though. There is a tiny elevator that you can wait for if you wish. My only complaint is the pre-show is a "one and done" for me. I wish I didn't have to sit through it each time I ride. While Mickey & Minnie's Runaway Railway preshow was a delight and made me want to experience it again immediately, the opposite was the case with this one. I'm an old school Epcot guy and part of me is sad that so many of the classic attractions where you could learn about science are gone forever. However, incredible rides like this replacing them certainly numbs the pain!

Art T.

Yelp
What an experience! It is well worth the trip to Epcot alone! This is one of their newest rides, and you can tell they put a lot of time and thought into it. Being a bit of a Marvel nerd, I was excited to see the Guardians theme, including the main villain! I won't spoil anything. The mechanics of the ride are really cool, though. I won't give anything away here either, but it definitely utilizes a lot of modern technology and ride design to create a unique and exciting experience. "Thrilling" is an understatement! Definitely worth riding! Just be sure to try to get in the virtual queue, as the lines are still quite long. Also, be aware this is a motion-heavy ride, so if you have a history of motion sickness, be forewarned. Dramamine is your friend!

Bobby J.

Yelp
Hands down BEST RIDE @ Disney World!! So fun!!!!! ...... We got to ride it twice with Lightning lane. Disney did its thing with this one y'all!!

Ian A.

Yelp
THIS RIDE IS A MUST! I will let you in on how to secure this ride. Set an alarm at 6:50! Get yourself revved up! At 6:59, start tapping the refresh button until you secure your boarding pass. Do not stop until you get a number!!! I got Boarding Group 26 by doing this method! First ride of the day at EPCOT! Do not lose your FREE chance at riding this attraction. This method also works for the 1pm Virtual Queue. Overall, I love this coaster and it's my favorite at Disney! I have been able to experience all the songs and One Way or Another is THE song!!

Monique W.

Yelp
All I can say is, it's one of my new favorite rides at Disney World! If you get motion sickness easily, avoid this ride at all costs! My partner and I were unable to get into the virtual queue for this ride, twice, at Epcot. We were there during the arts festival on a Saturday morning. Instead, we decided to purchase a lightning lane pass so I could at least ride it once while in Epcot. Our arrival time was at 7:10 P.M. There were two different entrance lanes, one for the virtual queue and one for the lightning lane. The walkthrough was relatively quick, around 10 minutes to the start of the attraction. There wasn't too much to look at while waiting in the queue line for the lightning lane. Once the attraction starts, you're guided through a few different rooms. You'll have the nova corps (Terry Crews and Glenn Close) inform you of the backstory and the spaceship. You are then immediately evacuated, to another queue, which you'll board the ride. It is 42'' inches and two seats for each row. The ride has small dips and is relatively quick! There is a backwards launch which is so much fun. There are a lot of movements of the actual ride, from right to left and left to right. The music is awesome though! It's based on Guardian's of the Galaxy Star Lord's favorite musical hits! This ride is a blast! I'd highly recommend it if you like rollercoasters and do not get motion sickness easily! The ride is next to Mission Space Earth and Test Track.

Yelp
This ranks as one of the best attractions at Walt Disney World, and my favorite roller coaster at any of the Disney parks! This coaster is like a major upgrade to Space Mountain. There's no doubt that Space Mountain is old & dated attraction that's nearly 50-years old, whereas Cosmic Rewind takes full advantage of today's modern technology. Not only does the queue line entertaining, the length is longer than most roller coasters (3 minutes & 20 seconds), the rotation of the ride is an enhanced experience, and it's also one of the smoothest roller coaster! I still enjoy sitting in the very front, but since it does rotate, it's not a disadvantage of sitting in the middle nor at the very back. As for the music, every time you ride it, makes each experience somewhat different. The songs that you could ride to are "Disco Inferno" by the Trammps, "I Ran (So Far Away)" by A Flock of Seagulls, "Conga" by Miami Sound Machine, "Everybody Wants to Rule the World" by Tears for Fears, "One Way or Another" by Blondie, and "September" by Earth, Wind and Fire. When you're at Walt Disney World, Cosmic Rewind is a must attraction, among Rise of the Resistance & Flight of Passage too!

Yelp
So my friend and I got the lightening lane passes for this ride. I had absolutely no idea what it was (I've never seen the movies, I know, I'm the worst). So I just thought we were going through all these rooms and then were going to ride through a spaceship or something. WRONG. It's a roller coaster. An indoor roller coaster that shoots you backward and all I can say is I was screaming my head off the whole entire time while she laughed hers off so much I swear I thought she was crying from laughing so hard at my screaming at one point. For the record, I'm not afraid of roller coasters. I was just taken aback and then just kept screaming from adrenaline. PSA hold onto your glasses if you wear them. They'll want to come off.

Yelp
Wow. Wow! This is by far my favorite attraction ever so far. The ride is so much fun, I can't stress this enough! I am willing to pay for Lightning Lane over and over if I have to! The pre-shows are pretty long, and there's like 3 different pre-show rooms before getting into the main loading corridors. Impressive rooms, definitely huge and meant to immerse you. On the ride itself, wow I was really shocked with how comfortable the safety restraints were. I felt like I had so much room and it felt like the perfect amount of safe. Let me tell you, screens are huge and there's A LOT to look at! Try to keep your vision straight or you will get sick! This ride starts going forward, turning pretty often, then launches backwards and somehow goes forward with more turns! Yes, I really mean that how it sounded even if it sounds crazy! Overall, super fun ride, awesome music, super immersive! But if you get motion sickness, you may want to do some research before getting on.

Yelp
This was honestly the best roller coaster I have ever been on. Just, WOW. Right now they're doing a virtual queue and no stand-by. We went during a "slow peak", but I'm not sure how hard it is to get in the queue on a normal/busy peak. Make sure you have the app ready, and your party preselected for who wants to ride! Once 7am hits, clench your buttcheeks and cross your fingers you get a spot in line! Although it's a virtual queue, you essentially are selected to be in a stand-by, so expect a regular wait to get on the ride. The first time we rode, we were group 23, so pretty okay-ish wait time. The second time, on a different day because you can only enter the queue once a day, we were group 82 and that was not fun planning around nap time with the baby and trying to eat around the world. The actual ride was so insanely smooth. All the twists and turns, things I didn't think a rollercoaster could/would do. I love that I went into this experience blind and unbiased. My husband had mentioned to not get my hopes up and that he heard lots of people complain about the ride, but I can't imagine what they are complaining about. I loved this so much that if I couldn't get into the virtual queue and they had a lightning lane available for purchase, I'd easily pay to ride this one specifically. **The ride has a 42" requirement. My 4 year old is pretty tall for his age, and he rode it too. He did not enjoy it. Not because it's rough, because it isn't, but because it was dark. So if you have a little scared of the dark, this might not be the best ride.

Yelp
Is the best roller coaster ever? obviously no. Is this the funnest coaster ever? maybe yes! Take Space Mountain and project GoG on the inside dome throughout the ride. And then make it spin. And then make it funny. And of course it's awesome! Now, is it better than Hagrid's down the road? The easiest local comparison? Maybe???? You be the judge. But regardless, this is an awesome fun family coaster not to be missed on every Epcot visit.

Yelp
In my humble opinion this is the greatest roller coaster ever. I really like the story with one of my favorite actors, Mr. Terry Crews. The decor is in the queuing area is interesting and you get some information that enhances the overall story. The ride itself is a lot of fun. The way that your car moves along the track makes it very unique and extra fun. Every time I have been on this ride, I leave with the biggest smile, except when I lost my Magic Band+. The music really adds something to the ride is exactly what you expect from a Guardians themed ride, AWESOME HITS!I could literally ride this coaster over and over.

Yelp
What a great way to end our night at Epcot. We waited all day for this ride and it was worth it. We were in virtual line, but missed out on our time frame. We were able to get back in virtual line though. Great fun indoor rollercoaster. End joyed the music on the ride. Sucks that they crowd you into 2 different open space rooms before going on the ride. This ride was worth the wait time.

Yelp
If there's a better roller coaster in the world I haven't found it! The newest roller coaster in the Disney Family opened in May 2022. I've been lucky enough to ride it now 6 times. Since it is new and the demand is insane Disney has 2 ways to get onto this one. The first is thru their Virtual Queue which opens at 7am and 1pm each day. If you're not in your MyDisney App ready at exactly the moment the clock strikes the top of those hours forget about it. These "free" reservations go in less than 3 seconds each time. Your other option is to purchase a Lightning Lane reservation and while these go quickly it's not nearly as bad. The problem is you're shelling out additional money for this ride which varies based on Disney's insane surge pricing structure. Ok, enough on those details. Here's what you really came for. What are the best tips: 1) When you get to the 2nd room (the one after Terry Crews and his Epcotians) you'll want to move to the right hand side. That's where the doors are to get to the actual ride 2) Once you get into line the best rows are "odd numbers" since these are the front row of each car. 3) Personal opinion but the best row for me is "9". This puts you in the front row of the last car.

Yelp
Shortly after waking up and getting ready to head over to EPCOT, I joined the virtual queue right at 7 am and was assigned boarding group 3! During my walk to the park entrance, the app notified me that my boarding group was being called! However, for general tickets, the park didn't open until 9 am. Thank goodness the boarding group was good for 1 hour, so I had until about 9:42 am to get to the ride. Once the rope dropped, I headed straight for the ride. Without giving away any spoilers, it was indeed a very cool ride even though I've become increasingly tired of the old Guardians schtick. As for the ride itself, the best way that I could describe the ride was that it was a combination of Space Mountain at Disneyland in Anaheim and Crush's Coaster at Walt Disney Studios in Paris, but with a lot more visuals. It was a fun ride and definitely worthy of being a rope drop first ride. You can be sure to expect the lines to be very long once they open up the standby line. However, having seen the queueing area, there will be plenty of stuff to look at while you wait in line.

Yelp
"Welcome to your life....there's no turning back...everybody wants to rule the world...." WOW WHAT A FREAKIN EXPERIENCE!!!!!! I'm not sure how to describe this ride to its fullest potential but all I can say is, this is nothing like Disney has ever done before. The first backwards launch for Disney (I think?), it's fast, it spins and it gets your sense of directions all mixed up, there's an on-ride soundtrack with six random songs. I wouldn't compare this to Space Mountain, Rock n Roller Coaster or even Expedition Everest. First off, there's no inversions of any kind and there's no steep drops. The only backward portion is the beginning but it's a LAUNCH at pretty intense speed. The rest of the ride....you're spinning this way but your coaster is moving another direction. Listen up for those with motion sickness: if attractions at Universal Studios or even Star Tours and Smugglers Run gets you queasy, I highly suggest you taking some motion sickness pills of some sort. I'm super sensitive and get nauseous easily....I can't even look at my phone in the passenger seat! So I took one Dramamine dose one hour before my 1 hour boarding group arrival window. I got off this ride feeling quite normal. Actually I was on a ride happy high but that's besides the point. Also, someone mentioned to always keeps your eyes on the tracks. As much as you wanna look around....don't. That may trigger the motion sickness. Only two ways to ride Cosmic Rewind is through Virtual Queue (VQ) which drops daily at 7am and 1pm or purchasing an Individual Lighting Lane (ILL). The cost for ILL will vary depending on how busy Disney forecast the crowds to be for that day. For VQ, the 7am drop gets full within seconds. If you're not able to get a VQ in the morning....try again at 1pm. At that time, it's much easier to get a boarding group. Although the song I got was Tears for Fears-Everybody Wants to Rule the World, I really wanted Conga. It's okay....there's always next time!

Yelp
Guardians of the Galaxy is a next level thrill ride. It's an indoor roller coaster that turns your seat while you are on the roller coaster, as you ride into an interactive movie. If you enjoy roller coasters, this is a great ride.

Yelp
I would describe this ride as cool but very intense! It's super fast but smooth. The music is awesome! It goes backwards and forwards. If you're into thrill rides, this is the one for you. It's similar to space mountain as it's also indoors and in space. It's the most popular ride at Epcot and you only get to ride it using the virtual que at 7am or 1pm unless you're paying for the individual LL. You have to do it exactly at that time so set your clock and get the My Disney Experience app ready.

Yelp
Guardians of the Galaxy cosmic rewind is located in world discovery at Epcot. This is arguably the best ride at Epcot. It is akin to space mountain except 100 times better plus 80s music. As a warning to those with sensitivities to motion, there is a backwards launch and the coaster does rotate; it does not flip but you need to ensure to secure all your belongings in the pouch because you absolutely will lose them when you go sideways. This is not a great ride for anyone sensitive to motion and little ones that are afraid of speed or the dark. Note that this attraction does not have a standby queue, if you intend to ride this, you must use the my Disney experience app to join the virtual queue and you will be assigned a boarding group. To guarantee a spot on this ride, I highly recommend getting on at 7:00 a.m. to join the virtual queue. I believe you also have a chance at 1:00 p.m. but you may want to check the Disney blogs on that for your trip.

Yelp
I don't think words can really express how much I loved this ride. The line: I didn't know what to expect and stood in line for about 25 minutes which was totally fine because there were plenty of things to look at while waiting. Once the ride officially started, as in, launched, I was in a state of pure bliss and excitement the entire time. I think the music also amped up the adrenaline and you could feel why Peter plays music all the time while zipping through space. The coaster is not like anything I've ever been on before and I LOVE rollercoasters! There is no huge drop or sinking feeling in your stomach. You rotate as you are going around the track at times instead of just facing in one direction. I convinced a friend who tends to get motion sickness to ride this and with some dramamine, they were good to go. They had a blast and were so sad they couldn't ride it again the same day. I would say don't miss out on this coaster. It's even worth a 2 hr wait in line!

Yelp
Wow!! What an attraction! This rollercoaster is high speed and fully immersive. From the beginning, it launches you into space. The sound track is *chef's kiss* PERFECT!!! If I had to compare it to other attractions in the area, I would say that it is a combination of Space Mountain, the Rockin Rollercoaster, Hagrid's, and ET. Although, I will also say this ride is much different than anything I have ever experienced and is the Disney Magic that sets Disney apart from other competitors! This ride isn't scary, nor is it intended to be scary. It does not go upside down or have inversions. It's fun, immersive, and incredible! Definitely a must-do. A locker is not needed as your belongings can sit on the ride vehicle and will be fine! Opens May 27, 2022!
