Great Location, helpful friendly staff, large clean spacious rooms! We stayed two nights at the hotel and visited the Beach Club for the day. We appreciated having the coffee shop in the lobby. The ability to walk around Todos from the hotel was greatly appreciated. The top floor with the pool and restaurant were enjoyable to visit. The sunsets from the restaurant were enjoyable.

We stayed for 3 nights and thoroughly enjoyed! Suite room was spacious with a very comfortable bed, sitting area, and wonderful soaking tub. VERY clean! Room does not have a coffee maker but does have a mini refrig. We got our coffee at the downstairs cafe, enjoyed a delicious breakfast one morning downstairs and also one night at the Skybar we watched the sunset and had drinks/light dinner. The beach club was wonderful as well- great massage therapist, lovely pool and the best fish tacos we had anywhere on our trip. We also saw lots of whales at this beach - incredible! The hotel is right in town so there is some street noise but it didn't bother us. The advantage of in town location is one can walk all over for shopping and restaurants, and if you have a rental car street parking was available and no problem.

We stayed with friends per another’s recommendation and had a wonderful time in the heart of Todos Santos. Everything we needed was provided by the professional and friendly staff. The beauty and feel of the hotel was relaxed and full of art. Make sure to have dinner at La Mirada - schedule to see the sun set and then the stars. The beach spa with cabanas are on one of the most beautiful beaches I’ve ever seen. You won’t want to leave.

Well located in town, but also included access to their El Faro beach club 10 minutes away, so best of both worlds! Recommend dinner while watching sunset (and whales!) at their affiliated El Mirador restaurant, near the beach club. Deluxe room 102 was wonderfully spacious — big gorgeous shower! — with bonus outdoor seating area.

I have come to the Sky Lounge for a few years. First place I have seen in years with great selection and pricing on in room snacks and liquor. Most places have those tiny bottles for $5 - $10 each. These are $10 or less for 5 times the volume. 😎

If you want old town Mexico mixed with a modern flare, Guaycura Boutique Hotel is fantastic! The beach club El Faro, the restaurant El Mirador, the sky deck all so very special. The staff makes the stay! Every detail, a smile, exceeding expectations. We love Todos Santos!

We enjoyed this hotel and beach resort club very much. Hotel is clean, comfortable and in a great location. Gorgeous art on the walls. The separate but included beach club was fun, beautiful and not crowded. Staff friendly and helpful. Would stay again.

Yelp
Stumbled upon this hotel while we were wondering the town. We went up to the sky lounge to grab a bite and we ate the BEST BURGER and fries. Who knew something so simple could be so great. Our server Faviola went above and beyond, she made my daughter the most delicious smoothie we both have ever had. She was so sweet and genuine & the service alone convinced us that we will be back! We enjoyed the sunset with really good music in the background. Faviola also made us the most delicious iced coffees. She was amazing and we hope to stay here one day.

Yelp
Love this hotel. Quaint and charming with friendly service and amazing food! Chilaquiles are some of the best I've ever had. And I've had a lot.

Yelp
Pretty place off the main square of Todo Santos. Hard product like room size, design, bedding, bath and art 5 stars. Soft products like food and service 2 stars. It was our anniversary trip (yes I told them) and not one word was said... nothing. At breakfast one day, a group of Baja off roaders was so loud we got up and left... no staff said anything. Sad to have a great place with staff who doesn't care. The roof pool seats 4 people so get there early. Bar closes when they feel like it. Really pretty place that charges full rate and give half service. Not right even in these times. Btw, we were not tested for temperature one time. Not sure I'd go back anytime soon. Had drinks both nights at Todo Santos Inn which was lovely.

Yelp
Adorable boutique hotel, really charming for many reasons. I love the historic vibe and the artsy decor. The staff at check in was wonderful. I am very appreciative of people that seem genuinely kind and helpful. The two woman during the day and even the night staff had great energy. There is a very relaxed vibe and I felt totally comfortable from the moment I stepped into the lobby.

Yelp
I am mortified that I was seriously considering getting married with this hotel and so glad I came to check it out for two nights prior to moving forward with anything. My parents live in Pescadero and I came here last week with two of my best girlfriends to check out the hotel, beach club, and show them the Mirador Restaurant where I wanted my fiancé and I to have our ceremony and reception. We planned to buy out the hotel, use the beach club, and have a lovely destination wedding with 85 guests for 2 nights, but have decided unequivocally to go with the Cape Thompson in Cabo San Lucas instead. To summarize, we experienced such disrespect and poor service at the beach club that we left after waiting 45 minutes to be helped and seeing multiple other families be served and helped that arrived after us AND came back to a FLOODED hotel room! We had to ask for towels twice, were then given WET towels, and were told only one masseuse was available when we booked two $125 massages. It wasn't until we decided to leave that there was then magically a second masseuse. We finally decided to leave after an hour of being treated horribly. Even worse was that we came back to our room on our last night to 3 inches of water that flooded our hotel room, ruined our leather shoes, $75 make up palettes, clothes, and suitcases. There was water on the floor from a broken pipe behind the toilet which we had warned the front desk the first night of, but we were assured it was fixed. Important to note we were not offered to move to another room. Second night we came back to 3 inches of flooding in room with ruined makeup palettes, clothes, suitcases, leather shoes, and damage of personal belongings upwards of $500. NO refund or compensation. We paid $365/night for this place with plans to spend upwards of 20-30 grand for my wedding. Worse of all, I am horribly embarrassed for the service we received in Mexico while I was so excited to show my best friends my favorite place in the world and plan my wedding. I am heartbroken, ashamed and would never recommend this hotel to anyone. Beware, stay away, and consider the San Cristoball, The Cape in Cabo, or the Villa Santa Cruz instead.

Yelp
Just checked out and I really liked the place a lot. Great rooms, comfy beds, big bathrooms with copper tubs. Even their products like lotion and shampoo were top notch. Friendly and nice staff. We didn't get to go to the rooftop pool and bar, which I was kinda complain-y about, but ultimately we went to their beach club which was fabulous. Next time we will go when the pool is open!

Yelp
Depends on what you are looking for. IF you want a "Cabo" kind of hotel with dance music filling the "skydeck" and the Lobby then this is not it. If you are looking for relaxation and quiet, then again this is not it. This hotel, while a nice building is not run by a professional hotelier but instead by good natured and well intentioned but somewhat clueless people. While we were there, in the off season, we endured multiple construction projects, a shut down restaurant and one of the bars, and some missing luxury services one would assume are in the package - transportation of any kind to their beach location, views, or even a bowl of fruit in the morning to grab a banana from. WE dont watch TV but even that didnt work well. Very few cable channels. Like I said - they are all nice, the AC was a godsend, and the maid service was great. But the place could use a professional hotelier. And the first advice I would give is not to play the same song collection loop over and over again all day and night long. When asked to turn it down they declined because "this is what the people want". We were the only ones there. And the same music also played at their beach location. Loud. And at their restaurant, El Mirador It was torture to listen to dance beat all the time. The food at the pool and restaurant is exactly the same menu. The views are good but note that the beaches are unswimmable in most of this area. And avoid October - it's "Fly Season". Don't ask. Cannot recommend unless you are looking for a Cabo party vacation but can't afford Cabo and then I suggest just spending the money in Cabo. You will have less money but more memories.

Yelp
I'm an avid traveler. I love staying in small boutique hotels to get the charm and personalize care they often provide. I was told by several people in the town that Guaycura was the best around so I was excited to stay there with some girlfriends for a quick getaway. We checked in and were very excited when we entered our room. The charm is definitely all throughout the facility. But after settling in we realized our toilet was leaking -- the hose connected to the wall was directly leaking all over the ground. I turned the water off and alerted the front desk. While we spoke decent spanish, they clearly didn't understand and simply wiped up the floor and didn't do anything to fix the real problem. Perhaps it was the o-ring or something related to the hoses, but the next we had a big problem. We honestly assumed the issue was handled (or they would have traded us into another room as the hotel wasn't full), but we left early for a day of yoga and the beach and returned late that evening to 3 inches of water in our room. It was utterly disgusting. All of our luggage, clothes, make up, etc were destroyed. Again we alerted the concierge and while he helped us move rooms (with a "master key" he simply gave us for the night...) he also told us he would send someone early in the morning to help us dry our clothes and that never happened. In the morning when we checked out we were told we would be comped a night and when I got upset saying this could have all been avoided had they originally fixed the problem she said she would talk to her manager and email me back. That was 1 week ago and no email, no phone call, no response to any of my emails. They also charged me for both nights. Our trip was ruined with this boutique hotel. I had to travel back to the US with soaking wet luggage, clothes and I ended up throwing it all away because it was covered in mold. Plus I now have to deal with this charge on my credit card that shouldn't be there and no one is fixing. This is absolutely not how a well reviewed, high ranked hotel should run. Very disappointment. Consider the alternative options: Hotel San Cristobal, Villa Santa Cruz or Pasadero. SIDE NOTE: We also paid the extra money for access to the beach club. This was half the reason we wanted to stay at the Guaycura. Upon check in we booked 2 massages and wanted to spend the day there (it would have been 3, but they only normally had 2 massage techs). When we arrived at opening hours, we first attempted to book a beach cabana (500 pesos). We wanted to stay at the cabana for the day but since we had one person alone during the massage we would wait by the pool first. They told us we couldn't do both of these options. We decided to just wait by the pool. We requested towels and an umbrella and no one brought us anything. We asked about our massages and were told only one massage person was there currently - which upset us as we already had to drop 1 desired massage due to timing. We waited 45 minutes to be offered a towel or drink while several families around us getting towels, drinks, and food. We got extremely upset and finally someone came to tell us our massages were ready - 2 people had apparently arrived. We informed them of how upset we were and ended up cancelling. We felt mistreated, ignored, and treated like "gringos" while the locals were given basic hospitality. We had planned on spending a day of indulging with massages ($120USD/person), drinks, food, extra cabanas, and solid money to be spent but we were treated horribly.

Yelp
What a incredible surprise to find the lovely Sky Bar lounge at the Guaycura to enjoy appetizers & drinks with our friends while watching the sunset. Spectacular! We were staying at a nearby hotel & definitely plan on staying here on our next visit. The staff Enrique & Yessica were so accommodating with such great service. We can't wait to come back!

Yelp
This small hotel in the center of town is ideally located. The views are breathtaking and I spent many hours just contemplating the horizon from the comfy private balcony in the room while enjoying the breeze. Service at the hotel is great the staff is friendly. The bed was comfortable, the linens good and the and the place is spotless clean. Food in both the patio (breakfast) and the terrace (dinner) was really good and the later offers a panoramic vista to the town and its surroundings. If you are in Todos Santos, I absolutely recommend that you stay and dine here

Yelp
Beautiful. Catch the sunset from the roof top pool. HIGHLY recommended. Fernando will bring you a delicious drink (alcoholic or not) while you are at it!

Yelp
Guaycura was my home for 5 days just a week ago. I wish I was still there! Favorites: room is spacious, bed comfortable, and bathroom lavish. I stayed in a Deluxe room. The room faced the mountains and had a small patio that had these beautiful French doors. It was perfect. I spent quite a bit of time on the rooftop. Cristo (I might be misspelling his name) was a gracious and fun host. Great drinks. Try the tamarindo Margarita! The roof has crazy views as well. The hotel is situated in a very good location. One street off the main Street, can and walkable to everything in town. The hotel staff are all very friendly, and the hotel is well-kept/clean. I felt very welcome at Guayacura, and am excited to stay there again.

Yelp
We booked a "Classic Room" through booking.com. This review is for the classic room....I imagine the other rooms are better. Nonetheless, I wouldn't recommend this place. Here is the review: THE BAD Worst part by far: the room windows were SEALED SHUT. Apparently ALL the windows in the classic rooms are sealed shut (including the bathroom). When I looked surprised, they pulled out a chemical air-spray room deodorizer and handed it to us. Additionally, the air conditioner couldn't be adjusted (the interface changed numbers, but it had no effect on the actual temperature). So the two options were freezing cold or dank and musty. It was winter and the air in Todos Santos was beautiful- warm with a breeze, yet we slept in a strange crypt-like space. It made no sense. I asked about switching rooms (the hotel was half empty) but they said it was impossible because we'd paid the "classic rate" so we were stuck. It's not like the rooms were inexpensive: we paid $780 USD for three nights (right after New Year's, not top of the season). In the sealed room, our bathing suits never dried, our clothes were damp and everything in our suitcases smelled weird when we left. Locals told us Guaycura was once nice, but the owner died and his sons have not kept the place up. They have not spent a dime on upkeep, nor do they comprehend customer service. Once we were in Todos Santos and saw other hotels in the area, I understood that we'd been swindled. Guaycura is thread-bare and in dire need of renovations. Other than the beach club, the photos are completely deceiving. I feel badly for the employees--they are understaffed and have to field questions without being able to offer any customer service which is clearly not their fault. THE GOOD The location is ideal for Todos Santos, which is a very sweet town. The hotel, while in need of repair, was very clean. That said, there are a number of much nicer hotels in the same area which are less expensive and more elegant and not as depressing. The Guaycura pool area/spa was nice but it's a 20 min shuttle bus ride away on a dusty road. That would've been fine--the idea of disappearing into an unknown area could be fun but--get this-- we were told we needed to reserve a chairs at the pool and none were available for one of the two days we were there. Ridiculous. IN CLOSING Todos Santos is a low-key, mellow town, and we didn't go expecting a luxurious hotel and we certainly don't mind simplicity--we just wanted convenience, cleanliness and pleasant, but this hotel fell far below our modest expectations. I don't recommend Guaycura, especially if you are planning to pre-pay in advance. I feel so strongly about this that I will also post on Trip Advisor. Other than this hotel, I highly recommend southern Baja...it's a dreamy place.

Yelp
A quaint little boutique hotel with well appointed rooms. Large beds, a desk and cupboard with a safe. The shower is huge, almost outrageously so. They provide products for loccataine, a hairdryer and bottle of water daily. There's also a tv but no other appliances. We didn't use the restaurant or bakery but we went to the rooftop bar. An awesome bar tender there, he has great English and a super entertaining personality and he really made the bar a great place. Limited food on the menu at the bar but we had some good tacos.

Phil B.

Yelp
Very nice hotel in downtown Todos Santos. We stayed for several days in this lovely little town with great charm and food. The room had no sitting area besides the bed, but had a very large bathroom with room for an open suitcase. Fully air conditioned, but the free WiFi was very slow and sometimes didn't work. The price for the room, about $250 was high compared to a neighboring hotel where the rest of our group stayed. It did include the use of beach club at no charge, a 20 minute drive, where there was a large swimming pool, beach access and a lovely restaurant.

Ignacio S.

Yelp
our room was extremely clean, comfortable with traditional Mexican decorations. the restroom are big enough for you to party in the tub with other people in there. the rooftop swimming pool has an awesome view of the town with a great place to watch the sum set.

Heidi D.

Yelp
Beautiful rooftop bar and restaurant. The drinks were fabulous, and the gourmet quesadilla was wonderful. The bartenders were pleasant and very accommodating. We could have sat there for hours enjoying the view. Nice place, will be back!.

Yelp
Stayed here with my wife for our honeymoon. 1st night, no hot water. 2nd day, front desk woman calls my room and asks if she take the couch out of our room because another guest needs it. I tell her no. She repeatedly calls saying she needs it because they overbooked and they need the pullout for another guest to sleep on. I tell her to bring another couch and up and they can swap the two. Two men show up at my door and say they are there for the couch. I ask where the replacement couch is and the say they don't know. I tell them to come back with a replacement couch before they take my couch. Front desk woman calls again and finally gets the point that I want a couch in my room. 3rd night, again no hot water. Check out, they charge my card for my full stay plus room charges even though I pre paid for my stay online effectively stealing about $1600 USD from me. I bring this up in person after I see the charge and they say they will have to wait until they can talk to the bank. I reached out multiple times after my visit and was always given an excuse. My money was never refunded. Bottom line, do not pre pay online. It is a beautiful hotel with beautiful rooms but with the exception of Gustavo, their customer service is some of the worst I have ever experienced and to add insult to injury they stole a little under $1600 USD from me. My visit was in Feb 2015, I have been reaching out to them for two years to get my refund and feel this is my only recourse at this point

Gretchen W.

Yelp
Best experience ever. We went on our honeymoon and they went over the top to make it a special time for us. I cannot say enough good things about this place. We didn't have a car so they always assisted us in visiting the beach club and the Mirador. I would visit Guaycara again and again. Everything was perfect. Special shout out to Lupita and Pablo. They were phenomenal. There was another employee who was amazing too and for the life of me I cannot remember his name. He is from Cabo San Lucas and commutes back home to be with his family. He was so amazing too and I so wish I could remember his name since he was so wonderful. The hotel staff was exceptional; I couldn't find an Internet cafe to do my job and the staff did everything they could to assist me. Far more that I would expect from anyone. Lastly, I do not like yelp reviews since it's any easy way to complain about stuff so I never do reviews. The experience here was so worth it that I actually forced myself to do a review.
