In my personal opinion, this is a paradise garden because of the various flowers here. Birds are also free to fly in this park, very beautiful. I can also find various foods here such as strawberries wrapped in sugar, various grilled squid and much more. The fragrant fragrance of cherry blossoms can also be smelled in this park. It feels like I don't want to leave this place. What makes me very touched is that my parents do not need to buy an entrance ticket to enjoy the beauty of this park. I salute you because people here have great respect for old men.

It was an hour via Shanghai Metro. Gucun Park is also the name of the station at Line 7. We were there end of March and we arrived late at 4pm and went inside via Gate1 and we were walking opposite of most people who are coming back out from usual entrance of Gate2. The Sakura Street is such a wonder. The flowers are in bloom and it was nice to see people of all ages enjoying an afternoon in the park.

This Park is HUGE. So much to see and do. Don’t miss the “Dinosaur Park”, the Peacocks in spring, the Ferris wheel and the incredible blossoms all around the Park - note, that it does get busy, especially on the week ends and there is an entry fee.

Visited during end of April 2025 for seeing cherry blossoms. Must visit if your in shanghai especially during March April.

If you're into Sakura flowers, then this place should be in your list of places in Shanghai. This place is famous for Sakura Festival and hence the ideal season to go is the start of Spring and thats when we went. If you have kids, then you'll need to have a full day or even more if your kids love dinosaurs (because there's a dino park within Gucun Park) to see the whole place because its huge. If you're into photography, then I'd suggest to choose weekday and go early. You can take food and camping stuff inside and there are many food options within the park.

Great park to see flowers and bird. If you come at the right season. March till early april. Many sakura blasom. Nice and beautiful. Walk with family or friends. Wonderfull.
