19.11 , my friend and I visited the Guerlain flagship store, planning to update our makeup collection and purchase gifts. Upon arrival, we were told that all consultants were busy and advised to walk around the store. We did so, made our choices, but no one approached us during the 20 minutes we spent browsing.
Feeling tired, we took off our outerwear and sat on the sofa to wait. After about 10 more minutes, I approached a consultant myself, but she rather dismissively told me that she was very busy and had no time. During all this waiting, we weren’t even offered water, while other customers around us were being served water and coffee.
After nearly an hour of waiting (again we were told someone would assist us), I approached another consultant, and only on the second attempt, after she rolled her eyes, did she agree to help. Unfortunately, that wasn’t the end of the issues.We ordered two red engraved cases (crocodile texture) and one case as a gift. To be fair, the consultant did help us choose French inscriptions, which was nice. However, after spending 1.5 hours in the store and being exhausted by the wait, we didn’t double-check the items before leaving. Once back in our room, I discovered that my friend had been given a red “python” case, and mine was red but with a completely different texture than the one I chose.Spending so much time, receiving such poor service, and then ending up with the wrong items is incredibly disappointing. For a flagship boutique, this level of service is simply unacceptable.
