Used to live down the street from here. Owned by a nice family, they are always so kind and helpful. ask about their wine selection bc the shopkeeper is very intentional about what she keeps. the shop is nice and has a great lunch menu. i quickly became a regular because its run by such kind, warm people.

Love this spot -- my FAVORITE sandwiches in the city for such a great price. Call ahead and place your order and you can pick it up in minutes! Great service, well-stocked, and I just feel so lucky to have this spot in the neighborhood.

Just got a pulled pork sandwich from here and it’s literally the best one I’ve had in a long time. The clerks were super nice and helpful. Kids came into the store and you could really just feel the family vibe. Next time I’m in this part of the city I’m definitely revisiting.

We just moved to the neighborhood and are so impressed with what Guerrero Market has on offer. They carry my boyfriend's two favorite beers (that can be challenging to fine) and the deli is delicious. We're feeling lucky to have this family-run business so close by.

I have come here a handful of times and have always had a great experience. They have a variety of yummy sandwiches for a decent price. I recently ordered the turkey panini and their macaroni salad. Both were super tasty! This place is always one block from dolores park which is a great spot to enjoy lunch.

This is a true gem! Excellent quality meats and other foods. We have been placing our Turkey dinner orders for decades and it is still the best juicy bird! They sell it almost cooked, all you have to do is reheat for an hour. Love getting compliments on my "cooking".

Guerrero Market & Deli is where it's at! I've been here a few times in the past and it does not disappoint with their quality of items and service. When you are in the area and are in the mood for a nice sandwich - stop here! It's conveniently located within walking distance to Dolores Park should you wish to have a nice picnic outside. Nicely priced as well. Support local and drop in by. So happy they are thriving!

It's reasonably priced and they sell those ziploc bags with the make it yourself alcoholic drinks (a shot or 2 with a chaser or mixer) for only $12. No cup included but still! I'll stop by again

Small neighborhood deli and market with beer, soda, snacks and freshly prepared sandwiches. I got the deli turkey on Dutch crunch with everything on it. The sandwich was decent but lacked a bit of flavor. Hard to beat Rhea's (one block away) but if Rhea's is too busy this is a good secondary option. It's close to Dolores Park and you could def pick up picnic supplies and sandwiches here.

This is a great spot to pick up a quick bite to eat. I ordered the deli turkey sub on sourdough bread. I got it with all the regular toppings (mayo, mustard, lettuce, tomato, pickle) and added pepper jack cheese and banana peppers. The bread was toasted to perfection and they give you a decent amount of protein. This place doubles as a small market so it's pretty narrow inside and there's no seating for eating but it's walking distance to Dolores Park!

I love a good sandwich. Like, alot. When I moved into the neighborhood I was hesitant to try this deli for fear it would be ridiculously up-charged and meh quality catering to the flock of park goers. I'm glad I stopped in anyway because I was pleasantly surprised. Sando prices are great, quality also top notch, and I swing into here often just to pick up and odd or end I randomly forgot from the grocery store. It's a lovely little family owned market with prices you wouldn't expect (in a good way) for its proxibimity to a tourist destination. I'm not a vegetarian but I love a good veggie sandwich and this one is definitely worth a try for carnivores and herbivores alike. Highly reccomend!

Sandwich was good but the man behind the counter was incredible rude . I ordered my sandwich, paid & saw a seating area so I sat . There was no signs or anything to section off that customers were not allowed there . Instead the man tells me to move and became hostile when met with my confusion . First & last time there .

I've come here over a dozen times. Sometimes the sandwiches are a 1 star, other times they deserve a 5. The difference? Who is behind the deli counter. If one of the adults is working behind the counter, they do a great job and make a great sandwich. But when I see the teenager making sandwiches, I know should walk right out the door. The teen always skimps on toppings and barely toasts the bread. You can see from my photo that he literally only put one slice of turkey on my sandwich. At first I thought it was a fluke and I've given the kid several chances, but I'm always disappointed. I hope the owners read these reviews and say something to the teen because he's likely costing them business.

This place has been here for the longest time. Their deli ham items are super good, if you are into salami, give this place a try. Staff are super kind.

I love Panini sandwiches so I finally decided to try this place out. I ordered a Turkey Panini on Dutch Crunch. I think there was pesto sauce and bacon with the sandwich. Normally I find Dutch Crunch bread to be hard as a rock at some places but it was soft and tasted fresh over here. Absolutely and a great deal a $8. Sandwich size was just right. Dolores Park is just 2-3 blocks away and a perfect place to enjoy your sandwich.

Gurrero Market & Deli is a rare find, filled with upscale microbrews, wines, sammies(6) and gourmet foods. not cheap but on the level with whole foods, price wise. drink: "magners irish pear cider" (4.49) 5% alc. -very drinkable, downed easy, smooth, almost gone in a gulp (ok, 2 gulps) drips: -guy cashier was holding a sleeping babe cradled in his arms. -assume the sammie maker is his wife....

Home cooked food for hipsters A bit off the hustle bustle path of the Mission and a nice reprieve from the sticky sidewalks of Mission or Valencia streets. Also down the street is the too cool for shool Tartine Bakery Like all the other reviews, food here is top notch and reasonably priced After reading about the tri tip, I was destined to get it, but didn't know what to put on the sandwich. I was pressing them "what do people usually get with it"? They said "whatever u want", gee thanks, that clears it up a whole lot I don't like mayo (who even likes mayo besides wal-mart shoppers btw?) Cheese, no thanks, burgers with cheese is about as far as I go there How about A1? or some type of BBQ sauce? (nope, not allowed) Ok, just lettuce.tomato,peppercini sp? and oil and vinegar (nope not allowed O&V either, will mask the au jus broth) Ok, so just the veggies then The woman working there then name dropped yelp and I pretended to be unaffected I musta looked like an official, because after I iphoned a few pics, she appeared very nervous, and asked me if I was a reporter. I sooo wanted to mess with her, and after my wishy washy "no" answer, her eyes got even wider. I had to relay her fears by showing her the pic, explaining I was't an inspector and that I do write reviews for yelp and it's because of yelp that I'm here. Whew, she's all up in ppl's biznass, doyathink?

I wish I could give no stars! Order a thurkey sandwich on sourdough with mayo lettuce and pickles . The whole order was uncomfortable I asked for a little more mayo the old man completely made my sandwich with no love never smile and when I asked for little more mayo he immediately got mad , not to mention I asked for black pepper while he was still making it he got mad . So the moral of my story he puts hella Mayo on it went to Delores park to eating to find mayo everywhere with three sliced if meat. Never again will I pay 7$ for something this bad over priced first impression is worst. I'm sure he hates wkn there he is old light skin and kinda balled haired

Maybe I'm being a little biased on this place since this isn't much more than your other countless standard convient stores you've got surrounding every other corner of SF. But how can you say no when every time you are here you are greeted with warm smiles, random samples of their homemade goods, friendly conversations, and delicious sandwiches? If that isn't enough, they have a large variety of wines and liquors that's perfect if you're in the mood for relaxing with a drink or two at Dolores which is just a block away.

Dropped by here to pick up some chicken salad for a picnic at Dolores Park, and a pint of CHICKEN SALAD (http://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/guerrero-market-and-deli-san-francisco?select=26zh9s2B5brVGf-zPoQOhQ#26zh9s2B5brVGf-zPoQOhQ) I got, for $6.50. Flavorful, with plenty of spices and numerous crunchy ingredients such as bell peppers, onions, and celery. And, though it is a chicken salad, I didn't really notice the chicken. Perhaps it was finely minced, or the plethora of creamy flavors overwhelmed my umami taste buds, but this didn't detract from the fact that this was some dang good chicken salad. Wow. Shortest review I've written in a while. But don't get used to it--it ain't my style ;)

Nice little corner deli with delicious sandwiches and wraps. I got the falafel wrap and my boyfriend got the salmon BLT. We were both very pleased and satisfied with our orders. The staff was kind and it seemed to be run by a family which was nice. It kind of felt like being in someone's home at this market/deli. I would definitely recommend this place, especially for a lunch on-the-go.

This place rocks!!! All other deli's are so 7 days Good Prices, clean, friendly staff, and if you want to see something stocked just ask. Ahhh!!!! The local market just added a deli and the Sam-witches are awesome (about $5 loaded) great stop before headin' to De-Park for some sunshine or some doggie good-times. G-Market has many sides lots of traditional middle eastern fair. If your in the hood this place is on the level ground and most the prices are same as going the safe way.

Went to this liquor store. I hope they go out of business. They tried to charge me $40 for a 6 pack of beer. I called them out then they started lowering the price until I was okay with the price. I had to report as fraud on credit card because even after agreeing on price they secretly charged the $40. No receipt provided. After calling them to complain they "didn't speak English well" and couldn't understand the issue. So I had to contact my credit card company.

Great sandwiches that are fairly priced. Super big portions and always get them nice and toasty. Can stop and get your chips and drink from the fridges and grab a quick bite for less than 15 bucks

Tina and Carlos are great! An awesome shop to get cheap sandwiches and other supplies for a day in Dolores park. This was my first time stopping in for a sandwich (chicken breast on Dutch crunch w/ everything) and even though the sandwich counter wasn't open yet, they happily made me one. Off of their suggestion, I tried the chicken breast and it was truly amazing. Something that sounds plain and not that exciting, but I would put it up against any sandwich in the city any day! I can't wait to come back and try all of their other sandwiches and deli items. I never post yelp reviews cuz...yelp. But I had to make sure they were getting the love they showed me.

I would never come to this place again!!! Why would I go to this market when they carry everything any market carries.. There is no welcome no hello one of the workers was blocking the isle and just looked at me as if he was saying go around .. after picking my merchandise at the register there was no words exchanged .. this place is extremely rude please don't shop here

great easy place to get a great sandwich! the people working there were very nice and service was quick. by the time i picked out my drink my sandwich was ready. i haven't been having a huge appetite lately but knew i needed to eat so i got a simple turkey sandwich and it was so good i finished the whole thing! a perfect basic turkey sandwich at a reasonable price.

There needs to be an option for, like, 15 stars for this place. LOVE. The facts are these: 1--Owned by the NICEST COUPLE EVER. They are seriously so wonderful and friendly and lovely and remembered me the second time I came in, fiending like a heroin junkie for another delicious chicken salad sandwich fix, which we'll get to in a moment. It was like being in another era where, you know, people gave a shit and stuff. 2--The sandwiches are AMAZING. I wandered in here on my way to Dolores Pk right after I flew into SF--I was tired from traveling and starving and just wanted a quick, easy, cheap sandwich to enjoy in the sun. I ended up coming back the second day because seriously? This woman's chicken salad is so good it called to me for the rest of the time I was in SF. IT IS AMAZING. No joke. She puts a touch of something in it--something similar to the yellow sauce in potato salad? (and I don't like potato salad)--that gives it just a tiny touch of something different. It is seriously SO. GOOD. And the bread is awesome. What is this Dutch Crunch bread you SF'ers eat and WHY BABY JESUS WHY do we not have it in New York? 3--THEY CARRY VERNORS GINGER ALE. Seriously, this is a Detroit (where I grew up) staple and I've never found it outside the D! So exciting. The owner has family in Detroit, so there you go. I haven't had it in years, since I was a kid in Detroit...it's not as good as it used to be, but it's drier and bitier than, say, Canada Dry--more spicy, less sweet--and it is THE SHI*. Drink it. Now. And buy it from these lovely people. 4--it's literally a block from Dolores Pk, for all your picnicking/sunbathing/gawking-at-shirtless-granola-gays needs. 5--This is the most important point and my favorite thing about this place. The owner's wife, who made the sandwiches, recoiled in HORROR when I asked if the chicken salad contained hard-boiled eggs! Yes! Outright HORROR! She actually said, "No, no, why would anyone ever put egg in chicken salad! That's disgusting!" Ma'am, I feel very strongly that you and I are soulmates. Call me. Point being: I can only vouch for the chicken salad, because it was so good, I never bothered trying anything else. But seriously? BEST. The next time I'm in SF, I will immediately head directly to this place and gorge myself on chicken salad.

The Mission is not to be outdone on any form of cheap food, and the corner-liquor-store-cum-deli is no exception. Guerrero Market may not have the ecstatically yummy and messy sandwiches of Roxie, but they make up for it with a neat-n-tidy shop and real friendly sandwich-makers. Tri-tip seems like the signature 'wich here, but can't eat that so I went with the fresh-roasted turkey (you know it's special if they charge an extra $1). Wow--these were some thanksgiving-caliber, fresh-off-the-bird slices. Though I think the traditional toppings they use may lend themselves better to Pastrami and the like; I'll have to come back for one of those. Note the proximity to Dolores Park--this just might be your best bet for a picnic sandwich.

Guerrero Deli certainly hits the marks for a successful corner sandwich shop--good, fresh eats and hardworking, friendly proprietors. Homemade goods, such as pastas, are stocked in their deli case. I hesitate to give them the last star because their veggie sandwich ranks behind others shops I've patronized lately. But the folks behind the counter couldn't be nicer. Walk further in, and the deli has the looks of your typical convenience store with convenience store prices. Stick to the deli and you won't be disappointed. Best of all, they're open till 10 p.m..

FAT sandwiches on the cheap -- definitely the best deal around to take to Dolores. They'll also make 'em pretty late (maybe 'til 8 or 9pm?), which I appreciate! The market, of course, has all the good stuff you would expect - beer, wine, cold drinks, candy, chips... In addition to sandwiches, the deli has a ton of other offerings: hummus, falafel, breakfast burritos, deli salads -- even spaghetti and meatballs! And I've seen groups of people come in just to get fresh baked turnovers. Certainly not your average corner store. Don't mess with Mary!

This is my local corner store, and I love it. Mary and Eugene do a great job running the deli section (all homemade from scratch), the sandwiches are great value ($5 with all them trimmins). When they don't have a beer I want in stock, its usually always in the fridge upon my next visit. My only reservation-they don't have prices on many of the items. Occasionally feels like your total is based on the cashiers discretion.

This was a five star sandwich because of either: A: The friendliest of service, wheat rolls, turkey piled high, house hummus added at no charge, plenty of veggies, less than $6. B: Any sandwich tastes better at the top of Dolores Park. Or both.

Don't buy beer here, at least not 'good' beer. I got numerous six packs that were much, much older than they should have been. So old that the taste was clearly off. Head up the hill to 20th to F&G Grocery if you like your beer fresh. But if you're looking for Tecate or Bud Light, then don't waste the energy. This place'll do. Locals say this place has good deli food, but if you're not from SF/the bay area take that with a grain of salt. These people wouldn't know a real deli if one fell out of the sky and landed on top of them. You get served mediocrity at almost every corner in this city, and no one who lives here seems to care enough to demand more. If you do care, it's either cook for yourself or find a really good restaurant. Anyway, rant over. On the plus side, they have a surprisingly decent selection of hard liquor if you get caught in a pinch and don't mind paying the obligate deli discount (20% extra).

My loss!! I'd always taken it for just another mission corner store. Boy, was I mistaken. I did know they served sandwiches, though, and since it's walkable I decided to stop in one night to grab a quick dinner. I had barely walked up to the sandwich counter when Mary (one of the owners) paused from sweeping the floor to greet me & ask me if I wanted a sandwich, which was nice. I said yes; she said the man behind the counter would make it for me right away, but she would be over by the sodas sweeping if I needed anything else. Wow. Already the classiest corner deli I've ever been in. My first impression was that the prices were a little high (most sandwiches are in the $5.50 range and some are $7, and cheese is $1 extra), but when I saw the size of the sandwich & tasted the quality of the meat (I ordered the roast chicken, one of the $7 sandwiches), I decided they were more or less reasonable. Mustard, mayo, lettuce, tomatoes, and onions are the standard fixings; you can ask for sprouts, pepperoncini, or jalapenos for no extra charge. Avocado (like cheese) is $1 extra. When I'd finally decided between the 4 available natural / organic vanilla cream sodas available and went to check out, Sam (the other owner) gave me a stern look and asked to see my ID for the soda. Then we both burst out laughing. "See, I made you laugh!" he told me. "Some people are so serious. They even show me their IDs." Sam also offers to open your beer for you if you get a single that it's clear you're probably going to go enjoy in the park or on Linda street. Now that's customer service. I love this place. I'm going to start going there more often.

Great place! On your way to the park, make a quick stop, order a gigantic (and yummy) sandwich, few drinks and dessert and you are set! Cheap, so this is the place to go if you are on a budget or don't feel like dealing with all the hipsters at Bi-Rite.

I love this corner deli. They family who runs it are the NICEST people in San Francisco, and the prepared foods and sandwiches top out at awesome. They stock almost every kind of chip, drink (wine, beer, spirits, soda, juice, milk), snack, sweets, and even salsa and cheese. This isn't gourmet food, bear in mind, so don't expect foie gras or truffle oil. You will however get a great value for the enormous portions, and you'll also have fun chatting with the people in line. Don't come in all drunk smelling like a skunk from an afternoon in Dolores Park, though, because then I will have to wait in line with you and your attitude. Leave it outside and show these friendly, hardworking people the respect the deserve.

I can not say enough great things about this place. I love to the people the food and the location. I live in the neighborhood and it is hard to find a decently priced sandwich (Dolores Park Cafe, BiRite, etc...). This is a place you can get a great sandwich without attitude. The place is very clean too. I appreciate that. I have to recommend the meatball sandwich ($5.99 most expensive thing on the menu)! It is so delicious...and huge. I also got a breakfast burrito from there ($2.99) and it was great too. Nice size and very tasty. If you're ever in the park and want a snack or a sandwich head right up 19th and it'll be right on the corner of Guerrero. ENJOY!

I am the luckiest person on the freaking planet. Why? This place is literally ONE BLOCK from my humble abode. For this: I am eternally grateful. Deli sandwiches. For $5 thereabouts. And awesome deli-foods, like deviled eggs, potato salad (uh, hi! AMAZING!), mac'n'cheese, VEGGIE lasagna, etc etc. The falafel here could rival any of the places that devote their "pitch" to the chickpea-spice-wrap. Everyone I bring here loves it. I'm a total repeat offender. Friendly, quick, cheap, tastyyummywow food. What's not to love? I brought a friend from out-of-town here on his first dinner in the city. On his final day here, I asked him what he liked the most about San Francisco. His reply: "That deli-thing by your house." Get the sandwich and walk the block to Dolores Park. Note: This review is pretty much only about their smoothies and the customer service. I went there specifically to buy a smoothie, because I've seen it advertised outside for $2.99--way cheaper than anything else you'd find in the area. They're made with just fresh fruit and ice and it was so good! I can't stand super sweet drinks, so this was exactly what I wanted. The lady making the smoothie was pleasant and the guy behind the register made friendly conversation while I waited. Went to Sidewalk Juice once and paid $5 for a crazy sweet smoothie I couldn't even drink--glad I found a new place when I'm hankering for something sweet, fruity, and decently priced.

The quality and the price of this place are just right. I ordered a pastrami sandwich with cheese and it filled me up for less than $8. The Dutch crunch bread was fresh but at the same time it did not leave you with the Cap'n Crunch issue (you know what I'm talking about). When Tartine was out of sandwiches, this was a suitable backup.

Seriously good subs. The dutch crunch isn't as legendary as Bay Cities, but nonetheless it's still a tasty option. An average sub clocks in around $6, and they're open until 10pm which means you have options after Bi-Rite's closed!

I come here for the sandwiches. Ever since Bi-Rite changed their sandwich menu, I've been on the lookout for a good deli sandwich in this immediate neighborhood. Just not feeling their new sandwiches. Plus the crowd there can be annoying. So when I saw that this lil corner store added a deli, I naturally gave it a try. They are so friendly and make some hefty sandwiches. Haven't tried anything else in their deli or in their store for that matter, but can vouch for their sandwiches. They toast the bread and will melt your cheese upon request (which I def recommend). They also got dutch crunch, which is the bomb, and it's actually crunchy (unlike that of some other sub-par sandwich spots). That in and of itself, is enough to sell me. If you know bout dutch, you know what i'm sayin. Go try for yourself.

Hungry, wandering the streets of the Mission and decided to stop by for a quick bite. Wow, their pastrami in dutch crunch bread is amazing! It's like Ike's, but cheaper. It was drenched in sauce and kicked the Savory Tastebuds in my mouth around with the jalapeños and sauerkraut.

Holy Baby Jesus - Their Chicken Panini makes me religious suddenly. chicken breast, pesto, bacon, spinach, roasted red peppers *add Provolone $7 very well spent. And it's huge. Killing it in one sitting would be impressive. MUST TRY.

Continuing my never ending hunt for the perfect deli sandwich.... Guerrero Market comes very close! He got dutch crunch, I got a sourdough baguette... which was seriously the best sourdough I've ever had with a sandwich... I can still taste it. It's not the kind that rips up your mouth and it too hard to bite into, but not soft and mushy like a french roll, it's simply perfect. A little too much turkey for my taste, but easy enough to take some out before eating. Overall, a great sandwich... perfect to grab before heading to the park. I'll be back!

I love this little neighborhood gem. Mary is the friendliest person on the block, and so far I've scarfed down two different sandwiches and highly recommend them both---falafel with great hummus, and an amazingly-priced tri-tip sandwich that is juicy and fabu. I'm looking forward to trying out their breakfast burrito...

It's literally the size of a football. Overflowing with cheese and sauce. Overwhelmed. You're a mere two blocks away, but this sandwich is out of this world. Too big...

This is my favorite corner store and now maybe my favorite deli. And it's 100 feet from my apartment. Score! The Deli - I have tried the Meatball and the Roast Turkey sandwiches, and they both rock. Get the turkey on sourdough with Swiss cheese and all the fixins - you won't be disappointed. I tried one other sandwich here (can't remember which) and it was good, too. Note - this is NOT the fastest deli in the world, as they toast the bread and slice things fresh, etc., etc. so be prepared to wait a few minutes, even if there's no line. The Store - This is where I buy the fifth of Jack Daniels or Captain Morgan that I sneak into concerts and baseball games to avoid gouging and long stadium concession lines. When I put my party booze on the counter, the guy at the register always rings me up with a sincere smile on his face - it's like I'm buying a painting or a sculpture he made himself, and he just couldn't be more proud. Somehow this always starts me on the right foot for a night of drinking and merriment.

Great Place to stop by and eat Friendly family business and you gotta try there ck blt it is along with their affordable prices...
