Absolutely not worth the price. Staff was friendly, but overall it wasn't a good experience. Towels aren't even included in the (for a capsule hotel) horrendous expensive prices. Had to lay out the futon before sleeping and remove the bed sheets after the night myself. Not that I'd care much, but I stayed in way cheaper capsule hostels with better service. Air conditioning is regulated by the owners, the guest rooms were way too warm and the air was dry, while the washbasin area was freezingly cold.

My stay at Maruya Guest House (Capsul Hotel) in Atami was wonderful! The location was super convenient, just a short walk from Atami Station (15min) and close to the beach (5min). The staff were incredibly friendly and gave me excellent advice on restaurants, cafes, and must-visit spots around town, which made my trip even more memorable and special. The guest house was spotlessly clean, and the Wi-Fi worked perfectly. You have access to the shared equipped kitchen and lounge area and the tea and water are complementary. Overall, I had a fantastic experience and would highly recommend Maruya Guest House to anyone visiting Atami. I can't wait to return for another visit!

The staff are very helpful. They will recommend some good place in atami for tourist and would offer discount coupons for one day hotspring if needed. The breakfast and common place is nice!

If you are staying in Atami, this place is great. There is a nice kitchen, soup and rice breakfast is only three hundred yen, there are plenty of restaurants nearby. The sleeping space is crowded if you try to put your luggage in too. The showers are clean and plenty of hot water. Toilets do not have washlets. It is about 10 to15 minutes walk from the Atami train station and the guest house sign is a bit small so it is easy to miss. Rooms are a bit warm at night so you might turn off your light and open the door to cool the room off before going too sleep. I would stay here again. Visited 15 November 2018.

Stay for a few days resting on my trip in Japan. The place is really close to the beach and easy to access to any other places on atami, train station is around 15 min by walk. The staff is really friendly and helped me and recommend me what i could do in the area or what to eat. The room(capsule) is good for the price and enough if you do not need any fancy place to sleep. Common area is nice and good for rest or use your computer.

A great choice for an affordable night's stay in Atami! We appreciated the friendly and helpful staff, the nice interior and the neat and clean facilities. For those unfamiliar with capsule rooms: it is basically a cubicle with enough space for a futon and a small bagpack beside it. Climbing and/or crouching is involved in getting in and out. I like the concept and in my opinion Maruya is a top tier accommodation in this category. My only regret is not having the curry for lunch or dinner, it smelled yummy!

My wife and I stayed at Maruya during our 2 days in Atami, and we wish we'd stayed longer. The staff were attentive and helpful, the double capsule room was cozy and comfy, the guest house itself was clean, and the communal space was a great place to work/hang out. Maruya is also perfectly located, just a quick bus ride away from Atami station. It's close to many bars and good restaurants, just a few minutes from the beach, and surrounded by wonder onsen. Atami is a funky, cool place, and Maruya is an absolutely perfect place to spend a few nights.

Two Americans looking to spend a cheap night and watch fireworks over the ocean. The man at the desk was very helpful and spoke enough English we were and to talk without any issues. Most of the rooms are small, a bit bigger than a full size bed, with futons and a short ceiling. There is a lounge area with free tea and water, a microwave and some other cooking stuff. It was a fun experience and would definitely go there again. Also if you go to Atami for the fireworks be sure to be hungry as there will be a bunch of food stands before and after the show.
