This place is really close to the station — just a short walk away. There are plenty of food options nearby, and the public space is spacious and comfortable. The kitchen is also very clean and well maintained.

Best hostel I've been is Japan. The room is big, with a big locker to store your belongings (I could fit a 16" laptop with a camera bag of body + 3 lenses, so it's big). You get a curtain that fully blocks the light, and gives you good privacy. The way the room & beds are aligned makes it very comfortable, it doesn't feel tight in space, like other hostels in Japan. The shared space and lounge is great, I met there some nice people and we hanged out there, and went to a Karaoke that's right in front of the hostel. The WiFi is strong, I could get some work done and make some calls, and the lounge is very comfortable for sitting with a laptop. Location is very convenient to get to places inside Beppu, and in general close to Beppu Kitahama bus station (5 min walk) And the price was fairly cheap for a hostel in Japan, and for what you get in the price. The kitchen was very basic, you could make some basic things like omlet, but that's it. (I wish it had more common things like oil, so I don't have to buy) There was also one shower for men, and one for women, so sometimes it's occupied and you have to wait. (I could shower in the sauna room, but you have no privacy)

Cozy room, bed a bit stiff but comfortable. Big common area with many tables (inside and outside). Good location. Very close to convenience store. The place is very clean and feels new. The staff is very friendly and professional.

Superb Guest House experience located seconds away from Beppu station. Rojiura Sauna and Stay offers clean modern accommodation alongside their sauna which guests can use during their stay. The sauna facilities were very nice, including a cold water plunge pool. Very in keeping with Beppu. The common areas were excellent, plenty of space and comfortable, featuring a fully equipped kitchen. Very comfortable for a short or long stay in Beppu and located close to all the restaurants and bars. There are public onsens within walking distance which are very reasonable.

I think this is the best, most well-equipped hostel in Japan that I've stayed in. And also the warmest. You can adjust the central thermostat for your section also. Everything is really clean and pleasant. The bathroom and shower is excellent. Coffee, tea and green tea are provided. A lot of hostels don't provide drinks. The kitchen and common area is huge and pleasant. I will definitely stay here again if ever I'm in Beppu. It's also a 3 minute walk from Beppu station.

We stayed here one night. The hostel is extremely well equipped. The facilities are clean. It’s important to remember that there are no checkin staff until 4pm, so you won’t be able to drop off your bags early. One downside is that the bed frames creak a lot - every time we moved in the night we woke the other up!

One of the best guest house that I have stayed. You have all the facilities for a guest house. The place is very clean. The room extension is suitable for a couple. If you don't take you own towel, you need to rent it. The shower room is provided with shampoo and body soup, there is no conditioner. Kitchen utensils are available. Parking lot is available for free.

okay hostel…a bit outdated/dusty. large common area with everything you need for long stays. bathroom is decently clean. bunk beds are a bit uncomfortable. the place was pretty empty when i stayed so it’s nice and quiet. decent location, very walkable.
