Very comfortable room with a small, full kitchen. Everything new and working perfectly. We stayed for 2 nights. The second day ,the room was cleaned and we were provided with clean towels. The staff was very kind and we enjoyed our stay very much.

So perfect! Location is in the middle of everything! Clean modern rooms! Love this place! Highly recommend!

Most welcoming receptionist. Very informative on attractions, busses etc. Room is beautiful and clean.comfortable bed with beautiful ironed and warm bedding. Bathroom good. Close to all attractions. I will stay again and again

The room was clean and comfortable, the service was friendly, the WiFi worked great. Great location, close to all landmarks by foot. The closest parking lots were a bit far, about 5 minutes walk, which is a bit cumbersome with a suitcase.

Very nice boutique hotel in the heart of the historical area right along the Rio Nabos. 9 minutes walk to the bus station. Very clean and modern room, a/c works real well, breakfast buffet has a nice selection at a reasonable price. Front door is secure with a key code after hours.

Received warm welcome on arrival. Given good recommendation for local restaurants. Booked Room 32 with view of Castle.... biggest mistake. You enter into the bed which is a raised platform built into an alcove with high step. Which results in you having to crawl up or shuffle along to get into. During the night my wife got up to go to the toilet and her heel caught on the edge of the step.She sustained injuries to her wrist and knee whilst falling on the floor. For the rest of the night we put the mattress on the floor and managed approx 2 hours sleep|I reported this to the lady on reception who only apologised and offered no recompense we had paid on full on arrival. We advised that to ensure safety they should place a lamp on the table which would have assisted. Not a good start to our holiday.

I usually do not take the time to write reviews but Thomar Story Hostel is deffirent. Not only was the room great but I want to site an example of their stellar service. My son and I stayed there last week. We packed our carry on suitcases and left them at the reception after check out. Our car was parked a 5 minute walk away at a free parking site and we intended to bring the car to the hostel and pick them up. After a breakfast at a nearby restaurant we walked to the car and drove away. We went to a resort in Sintra where we were attending a wedding. We opened the trunk of our car and realized only then that we left the suitcases at the hostel. We did not have the time to drive to Tomar and back again from Sintra. We called the hostel. Soraia Alves helped us. The service provided was exemplary. She was polite, kind, reassuring and very resourceful. She told us she knew a taxi service that could be relied upon to bring our suitcase to Sintra. She sent the suitcases through this driver. She followed up at every point until the driver reached and delivered the suitcases to us. We thanked everyone profusely and got ready for the wedding. I cannot thank them more and cannot recommend them more highly.
