Andi and Yuki were excellent hosts. They offer a quick and inexpensive taxi service to and from the airport with a well-curated playlist of local music. The accommodations were quiet, clean, and comfortable. The breakfast was amazing. The natural hot pool was a neat, unique experience. The location is very walkable to the shops, restaurants, and the sea. The bathrooms and decor were unique, artistic, and clean. Would highly recommend staying.

This has been my favorite hotel. Period. The kindness of Andi and Yuki, with Andi’s great humor and Yuki’s kind smile. The delicious breakfast the following morning. Andi’s rhubarb pie made from his mom’s recipe. The warm rooms with good coffee and chilled water. The cleanliness and fun designs everywhere. Immaculate, warm and beautiful.

Andy and Yuki are amazing hosts.....friendly, funny and very knowledgeable about the area. Breakfast was amazing, the rooms are clean and comfortable. Although uts shared bathrooms we never had to wait to use the facilities. A perfect 10

Andi and Yuki are fantastic hosts and I enjoyed being in their wonderful house. It was so clean and had such positive energy. The breakfast was best we had in Iceland, and thermal pool was great way to end the evening. It is the same water as Bluelagoon, small and just perfect. If I come back, I would only stay here. If you are looking for a more personal experience and appreciate good people with great service , don’t miss out on this experience.

I had the pleasure of staying at this wonderful guesthouse twice—once upon arriving in Iceland and again on my return. Both stays were unforgettable, showing the the charm and hospitality that make guesthouses so special. This guesthouse is a true gem, blending vernacular Icelandic architecture/design with a warm and authentic atmosphere. It offers the perfect balance of charm and convenience. Located 6 km from the airport, it is incredibly accessible, yet it feels like a peaceful retreat. The property is within walking distance of a quaint town center, borders the water, and even features a backyard basin filled with hot geothermal waters—a perfect way to unwind after a day of exploring. With only six rooms spread across two floors and a shared bathroom on each floor, the guesthouse’s small, family-run nature is at its heart. Yuki & Andi go above and beyond, offering personal attention and care. They even tailored my room choice to match my itinerary, ensuring the best possible experience. The place is exceptionally clean, and the bedding is very comfortable. I enjoyed the homemade breakfasts featuring freshly baked bread, delicious cakes like banana bread, local berries, and amazing cappuccinos—perfect for starting the day. The intimate scale of the guesthouse creates a sense of community. I enjoyed conversations with the hosts (owners) and fellow guests, which added warmth to my stay. This level of connection is something that larger hotels cannot easily replicate. Guesthouses like this offer an authentic and personal experience that sets them apart. During my December and January stays, I rented an electric vehicle to explore the southern coastline and Reykjavík’s bathhouses. The guesthouse served as the perfect base for my adventures. I highly recommend this family-owned guesthouse to anyone seeking a unique, personal, and memorable stay in the Keflavik/Reykjavik area.

What a great way to end our two week trip. An overnight layover in Iceland and this is the perfect place to stay for Iceland hospitality. Andy picked us up at the airport and gave us a a full tour of the 1x6. Funny guy! Quirky place with just the right amount of quirky. Bed is comfortable, pleasant surprise of homemade chocolate and a bottle of water on our door at bedtime, Andy (Comedian, hotelier, barista and chauffeur) made us espresso in the morning and got us on the final leg of our trip. ||Close to Keflavik Airport but a world away. ||Oh, and don’t miss the “blue lagoon “ just in the courtyard.

We will be repeat visitors to this guesthouse when we need a place to stay before leaving Iceland. The beds are comfortable, it is very clean, and it is close to the airport. A transfer to and from the airport can be easily arranged, as long as your arrival and departure times are within their hours of service. This is their home, after all. Breakfast was the best I have ever had in my life, I'm not exaggerating, but try it for yourself and see if you agree. We enjoyed visiting with other guests while soaking in their thermal pool, open 6:00 to 10:00 in the evening. There are several restaurants within 5 to 7 minutes walking distance, one seemed fancy, with a view of the ocean. There were also several mid range and inexpensive restaurants There are not many rooms, so book early. The guests do share the bathrooms, this was not an issue at all since there are three, two downstairs, and one upstairs. We never had to wait. |Andi and Yuki, the owners, were very helpful in every way. A very pleasant stay!

This was our first stop in Iceland--it's very close to the airport. The hosts, Andi and Kuki, were so warm and welcoming! Their guest house is full of whimsical and wonderful artwork. The bed was comfortable, and the bathroom had steampunk-style plumbing (visible pipes and gauges). They served a tasty breakfast (choice of fish or not) with a lovely presentation. We enjoyed soaking in their warm, spring-fed pool in the evening.
