Reynir was exactly what we needed whilst exploring the south coast, easy and clean and right in the middle of everything we wanted to visit. ||Kitchen facilities are excellent and showers and warm, good pressure and clean. ||A good base for to launch from to get to Diamond beach and beyond. ||Only negative and hence the 4/5, the beds are hard and a bit lumpy (pillows also) but is expected with the turnover. ||The checkin and out is simple and easy. ||Would recommend this guesthouse. ||Thank you

A cute little guesthouse right outside Vik, less than a mile from the blank sand beaches. The facilities were clean, plenty of space in the kitchen and the views were great. There is a small deck on the back that overlooks views of the ocean. We had a private toilet and sink in our room, all of which was clean and comfortable. There are shared showers, but they are each in a private room with additional towels and soap. The shared bathrooms were also clean and spacious. The staff here are incredibly warm and helpful. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will be back!

Great little guesthouse with some great amenities! The kitchen in the commons area is fully stocked with tools, spices and even teas/coffee. The house is not walkable to Vik really but assuming you're renting a car it's a good enough location.

We only stayed for one night at the end of May on our trip around Island. We found Reynir Guesthouse fully accommodating. Everything was clean, the place was very quiet. We enjoyed shared kitchen and the interactions with other guests during the dinner preparation. View from our room window down to the beach was perfect. We had a small issue with one of our rooms, but Mrs. Begga came in less than five minutes after we called her number and resolved our problem in an instant. She was really very friendly and helpful. She also gave us a very usefull information about some points of interest nearby we would have probably missed. Thank you very much for your kind hospitality.

Great hotel for traveling, the location is wonderful and if youre lucky you have a great view of the aurora. The rooms are a good size and neat. The bathrooms en toilet are in the hallway alsof clean. We did have our own sink wich was nice. The kitchen and commun space are great, they have everything u need.

Great accommodation for a night. We booked it just a few hours before arriving. The rooms are comfy and clean. You share the toilets and showers but have a separate sink in your room. You can use a shared kitchen and there are also some oats, jam etc available. Best thing: the view on the ocean ☺️

We stayed for just the one night and enjoyed it. We had a twin room with a shared bathroom and kitchen. It was all very clean and had a modern feel about it. The only minor negative was the lack of carpet which made a little less cosy, but it was lovely and warm still. Vik was just a ten minute drive around the other side of the mountain.

My friend and I were trying to get to our hotel near Vatnajokull to do the ice caves until the roads turned too icy for our car to continue. We had to turn around and go back to Vik, so I was desperately calling around for a place to stay that night. We found this place, where an absolute gem of a woman answered the phone and said she had a room for around €125. We were just super happy to have a place to stay. When we arrived, she was at the front desk and told us that she has another room open up for €99. This was so nice of her- we had already agreed to €125 and she told us about the cheaper option (which would have made her less money). She gave us our key and the room was very clean and nice. There were also two bathrooms and multiple showers available if you booked the community option. We weren’t very lucky that night, but I’d bet that it would be an incredible place to see the northern lights (I’d never seen so many stars!) Easy five minute drive to the black sand beach- you could even hear the ocean from the balcony. We even called after hours to ask about the wifi password and she was super friendly and more than happy to help (hint: it’s on the back of the key). She made our terrible day so much better, and we would absolutely stay here again.
