GuestReady - Porto de Rio, a Design Boutique Hotel Porto, Portugal

"Offering Douro river views from each modern unit, Porto de Rio is located on the banks of Douro River, right in the heart of the historic city centre. It offers free WiFi access. All studios combine a modern décor with details such as exposed stone walls and a large flat-screen cable TV on the wall. Some studios can accommodate up to 4 guests, 2 on a loft bed. A compact kitchenette is available to guests in each studio and includes a microwave. The central location of Porto de Rio allows guests to enjoy the summer terraces spread on the river bank. Across the river, the Port Wine cellars offer a wine tasting experience. Palácio da Bolsa is 150 metres from Porto de Rio, and the iconic Clérigos Church is within a 10-minute walk. Guests have easy access to public transports, and the São Bento Railway Station is less than 10 minutes’ walking. Porto International Airport is 17 km away." - My Boutique Hotel (en)

Very comfortable stay in a central tourist area. Positives: Nice breakfast boxes, clean, modern, spacious. Negatives: The noise isolation from windows should be worked on and not the best water pressure in the shower for my room.

The room was impeccable, very comfortable and so beautiful. The view was great and location was pretty incredible, so close to pretty much everything. Also the continental breakfast was a good surprise as its barely advertised, great experience overall.

Absolutely fantastic location and a really nice room. Unfortunately it seems the maintenance is severely lacking and the hosts do not respond to issues. During our stay the faucet was so loose it had to be held steady when in use, the AC cover plate is missing and most critically when rained heavily the roof leaked badly directly onto my head at 4am. We were able to see and photograph 2 more places this has clearly happened before. At this time (3 day later) attempts to contact staff have been ignored. It's a pity since this would be a very nice place otherwise.

Easygoing from the beginning to the end. The room looked exactly as on the pictures. And the location is great. Definitely recommending.

Perfect location for all that you wish to see in Porto!|On the Douro facing Vila Nova de Gaia; just a few steps away from Igreja de Sao Francisco, with many other destinations within walking distance. No.1 Tram more or less on your door step taking you to Foz do Douro, if you wanted some beach time; the No.500 bus is also across the road, going a little further to Matsohinnos.|Apartments are clean and well resourced with the option to do basic self catering if preferred. Nice little welcome package - this was very much appreciated.|Bed very comfortable; air-con a blessing; shower lovely, always with plenty of hot water.|Breakfast delivered in a basket: plain yoghurt, roll and jam, sweet cake, OJ, & coffee, suited us perfectly - maybe not for all, but as mentioned you have the option to add and prepare your own.|Plenty of places within walking distance to go out and eat at reasonable prices.|Absolutely loved Porto; would definitely visit again, and would look to stay here again!

Located in a superb location. Right in front of the river with no hills to climb. Not smack in the middle of town but the tram and Hop On & Hop Off bus runs directly outside the door. Had a gorgeous view of the river from our room too. We arrived late at night and were given clear instructions on how to collect our key. Breakfast provided outside our room on a table every morning was great and sufficient for us. Staff were friendly and provided helpful information. Only bad thing is the walls are thin and floors are creaky so we could hear the people next and above us walking.

Perfect location, close to Metro and bus stops. Very comfortable and well equipped apartment with A\C in each room. Customer service is exceptional: a host was waiting for us for a quick an smooth check-in; in addition when we reported a broken ketler, it was replaced within a couple of hours. We ad been traveling throughout Portugal for two weeks changing 7 locations and it was the best apartment that we had.

Room looked great, and the location was fantastic. The breakfast was nice with good coffee. Beds were a little uncomfortable Only downside was on our last night the fire alarm was beeping (not the main alarm just detector) non stop all night. Called maintenance but nothing happened. When the lady came into work at 8 she turned it off, couldn't sleep until then. So providing that doesn't happen...it would be almost perfect!
